Mornin' FellasFife - I've got all sorts of drills! 2 1/2" drills (Black and Decker and Dewalt), also have a Milwakee (?) right angle drill... thing is massive. Haven't powered it up in a few years, but if you're interested I could pull it off the shelf and verify.Still recovering from a mild cold. Nothing serious just a nasty productive cough now. Removed the wood screen doors from the screened porch this past weekend. They had started to mold and fall apart. Replaced them with vynil doors. Looks good. Now to finish hanging the PVC trim on the rest of the outside, then next spring replace the decking on the landing to match the porch outside the sunroom and that project will finally be done! (only 6 years in the making)Prayers for those in need.

Good Morning from cool mid 40’s F Southern Ohio,
Not as many trick or treaters as usual this year so I’ll be bringing the leftovers to work to get them out of the house.
Fife – I have a ½” Milwaukee Hammer drill you can use if you want to come and get it, but we’re still pretty far apart. Like Roy said, a tool rental place is your best bet. Tell them what you are doing and they will set you up.
DougDG – Hang in there! Continued prayers
8N – You’ve got me thinking about the local train show Thanksgiving weekend; I am off work that weekend for the first time in years so I could set up a display of accessories. That might be interesting. Log loader, drum loader, coal loader, 2 in 1 whistle, cattle loader Gabe the Lamplighter, Electro Magnetic Crane, taking Station and some operating cars? Moe & Joe like you said, Milk car? Baggage Car?, What do you think?.
May God bless
Jim
CheapClassics - The kids like operating my Moe & Joe lumber car and my log dump car. Other hits are the 'space race' items that launch missiles & other things.
I don't have one, but I imagine that some variation of a side dump car would also be well received. Fill it with candy corn for the Halloween version.
The Minuteman car is well received, too. But that may be due to Whiteman AFB being right up the road - Used to be Minuteman central before it became home for the B-2's.
Doug DG, heartfelt prayers are being sent on your behalf and will continue until we get better news. All of your friends here on the coffee pot are with you. God bless you and your entire family.

Evening all!
Nice day today and maybe some rain mid-week when it cools off. Could use it.
Cowboys pulled out a nice comeback amd OT win over the Iggles last night. This rookie QBack is impressive in his determination, skills, and dedication. He helped rally the entire team and he uses all his other player resources well.
Fifer - you can rent several sizes of hammer drills with various bits or an electric jackhammer. I have done both. You can knock a hole in anything with them.
Regards, Roy
Good evening all,
Did 9.3 miles today. Did the first 8 miles in 2 hours for the targeted 4 MPH. Did the rest to stretch the distance. Total time was 2:25 so I really slowed up. Got the oil changed on PT. Had some kids stop for trick or treating. Going to watch Jane the Virgin. 8ntruck, I had a lit pumpkin car and a gondola with Dracula and the Mummy chasing each other. Next year will have more action. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
fifedog Banks - 2" perhaps. Oldest princess has the grandson. They are coming out to visit next weekend. I have already gone through all of the Almond Joys. Kids don't like them anyway, right?

Hello there.
Broke down and went to MedExpress.Having breakfast at mcD. Gonna get my scrip filled and go home to try to get the sleep I missed last night.
..Fife.....how big, how deep? My first experience drilling concrete was with a star drill under Paps watchful eye. Is middle princess bringing grandkids?
Best get moving
Boo y'all! Sunny & 50 along the Patterson Creek cutoff this morning. Haircut, leaf blowing (we don't bag'em in WV), and final lawn mow today. Spent weekend priming and painting over a burnt red color with a yellow champagne hue. Taking advantage of Sherwin Williams sale. Girls got back safe and sound from B'more last night.
Dougokuhavareason2bgrumpie - Wish you all the best with this malady.
Banks - I need someone with one of those concrete drills.
We had the Polar Express layout set up at the local tran swap meet yesterday. Was not terribly busy, but seemed to have a steady amount of light traffic most of the day.
I really enjoyed watching the kids watch the trains. Since it is still before Halloween, I included some 'appropiate' touches in the scenery - zombies were sprinkled about. Some people never noticed them, others picked up right away.
CheapClassics - I've fopund the same thing with the simple ovals I've set up for kid's programs. Did you include any operating cars or operating accessories? I find it interesting how amazed people are when watching the old electromagnetic/mechanical mechanisms work. Then again, most everything now has chips and servos to make things work, and under a certain age, the people have never seen or worked with the old stuff.
About all for now.
Did not seem to get to the predicted 89 today. Felt more like mid-80's. Washed the Tahoe this evening when it cooled down.
Spent the day cleaning up my office and project work areas. Lots of paper to sort.
Watched the NASCAR race. Spaghetti dinner with the kids attending. Watching the Cowboys/Iggles game now.
Banks - get better soon. Great pic of the granddaughter!
Prayers for all in need.
Aside from picking up sticks in the yard, really did nothing today. Watched a Premiere League match and the F-1 race. Getting some rain tonight. Taking tomorrow off so I will get run in then. I hope everyone has a good day.
Good Sunday afternoon guys,
Grandson just left. I am beat. Yesterday Jordan and I watched the farmer doing the corn field out front. He offered to let Jordan have a ride in the combine but he was not ready to get into something that big so we just watched. I just checked and it had a 12 row head, it was huge to Jordan!. It would fill the hopper in less than a 1/4 mile of row. So they were unloading on the fly and each wagon would fill a semi truck so there was a lot of action for Jordan to watch. Later we cut tree brush and removed it to the burn pile with the grapple on the JD, played with toy trucks in the driveway, swept and burnt leaves and finished the night with plenty of train operation. He loved it all. Tomorrow we will go to their house and pass out candy while they trick or treat.
DougDG, Prayers for you and the rest in need. Seems the list keeps growing.
Banks, Great picture of the granddaughter. You got to take care, I am still fighting this crud and it is week 7. At least now I can do something.

Hello there. ..got the crud.
Sinus plugged so tight a nasal rinse goes nowhere.Arms and legs ache. Feel bad wasting a beautiful day but I got the energy of a wet noodle.
Doug...you'll be added to the prayer list.
Granddaughter was by far the littlest one in the parade twirling fire. Lots o eyes were upon her. She is small for her age (8).Gonna nap and hope t feel better u
Phish,
You would've liked the train show I went to at the VFD in Castle Shannon, PA this Sunday morning. Found a guy with a table of Flyer. Bought a boxed like new K775 Loading Platfom with the car, cubes, both buttons, contact, both envelopes of wood screws, and Inspector's Voucher dated 9-22-54.
He also had a project lot with a 290, red 651, two red 650 coaches, and 1 green 650, so I bought that too.
I'll be starting a Flyer layout soon.
RT,
Some folks like the BTO stuff, but I'm not one of them. It's too $$ for me, let alone when it fails.
Good morning all. Jim BTO= built to order. Lionel and MTH do that with some of there engines, train sets, even cars to make sure they get enough to make sure it's worth making. but a lot of your bigger dealers anyway will order more than need to sell after they come out most of the time.
Jim most hospitals now days have a hoist to lift patients but you still have to roll them to get them in the harness
Busy already this a.m. as I wired brushed a floor vent and repainted it. Replaced the single bulb light fixture in the garage with a dual 4' florescence type. what a difference. I can see now in the back end of the garage.
Bought a K-Line C&O Yard Master set $61 with free shipping and appears to be like new in box. he says it tested the engine once but that was it, but I notice the little plastic bags where missing from all the cars but it still looks like new. So will test engine when it comes in and go from there. Probably take to wifes booth in the vintage mall and put it up for sale in there.
Now time to rest a little and see what I can do in here. ( straighten up some and figure out rest lol.
Good morning from beautiful 60°F Southern Ohio,
I’m off from deacon duties this weekend so I will be with my family in my home parish.
We went to the High school football game last night and played the school where we live and where I graduated from, Portsmouth East. They came into the game 9 wins no losses, and the school we are associated with and where we send our kids is Notre Dame. It was a great game and final score was 32-26 with East winning. It was a hard hitting old style football game.
Mike - It is amazing how the trains still have a majical attraction for kids. It is fun to watch them watch trains. I guess some of us stay hooked on them longer.
DougDG - You’re in my prayers buddy
Banks - Twirling fire! Wow.
RT - What is BTO?
Fife - Nursing is a great career and you can find work just about anywhere, but it is physically demanding as others have said. My bride is a nurse and often the expectation (unsaid) for a nurse to move patients who out weigh them 3 to 1 is unrealistic. In the work environment I’m used to it would not be tolerated. Please have her be careful.
Guten morgen,
It's a sunny, beautiful Sunday morning here. The wife arranged to have our family photo taken today and we could not have asked for better weather. We will be doing that in a few hours so I am squeezing in a post now. We do not have anything else scheduled for today but I know how time can slip away. I decided to chime in on an OGR forum post about the TCA and I probably should have let it go. However, I do not like when people make argurments without facts for proper data.
Dougdagrump - I will be praying for you.
Rob - Yes, that game was close. It looks PSU should move up the polls a bit.
Good day,
Joe
A good day. Spent 3 hours at local history museum running Halloween trains for their open house. Had almost 200 kids come thru. Some just walked by, but some were fascinated by 2 simple ovals of track. Will try to have more next year. I hope everyone has a good day.
Was warm as expected today mid-80's. Real warm tomorrow and possibly high 80's. Cool front mid-week still on tap.
Channeling Chuck cheering the Tribe. Kipnis just busted the 7th with a 3 run homer. 7-1 at the top o' the 7th. Sorry Doug M (even with your golf clap). Chuck would have been thrilled. My affiliation - my father grew up in Akron.
DougnottaG - prayers for you and the family.
Continued prayers for Mrs Banks and others in need.
Fifer - all the best for PODapolooza...and congrats on your daughters employment!
Prayers for you Doug. And keep us posted.
Good evening boys & girls !
Visit with the surgeon went well yesterday. Went thru all the views from the enhanced CT. The cancer is quite a bit larger than I had thought. In a few weeks, or less if the schedule permits, they will be removing a kidney w/the cancer and a few enlarged lymph nodes. They aren't sure about the nodes but for "preventive medicine" they are coming out as well. They said the real pain is coming from the other organs being pushed around by the kidney/mass. Should be incarcerated for 2 to 4 days, depending on how long it takes to meet their criteria to be released, Full recovery they estimate at 4 weeks, possibly longer. No trains or museum and no cooking turkey for Thanksgiving.
Time to run.
Prayers for friends and family members !

Good evening,
The weather was once again pleasant today: a high in the upper-50s and partly sunny. I took the boys for haircuts this afternoon and then we went to the store to buy a bunch of candy. We had our own Halloween party at the house this evening. I do not believe the Germans do trick or treating and my older two kids are out of that phase. The six-year-old is more than content to eat candy at home and watch movies. Plus, Halloween is on Monday and it's a school night and I have no intention to bring him to the base to beg for candy. We watched Captain America: Winter Soldier, Charlie Brown's Halloween Special, and then the older two watched Gremlins. Nothing too scary or crazy around here. I enjoy good horror films but the wife is not interested in them. It looks PSU took it to Purdue. It was close in the first half but then PSU went to town in the second half. I'm glad they didn't have a let down after last week's big win. I hope you all have a great Saturday.
Rob - Take it easy and take the necessary time to heal.
Fife - Great news for the Princess. I hope your POD arrives soon.
Mike C. - Thanks for the information. I didn't think it was wrong; the Germans aren't that type either.
Good night,
thanks for the prayers. The biopsy went well. No results for 3 to 5 days. The bottom of Mrs left one is a big bruise.
Waiting now for the Hollidaysburg Halloween parade to start.Grandaughter is making her debut twirling fire.
Weather is to warm for October. Pushing 80 with a stiff breeze.
Fife. ..if you want to tackle the heater call for advice. You still have my number?
Later
Sun and 67. feels warm. RT and Da Chief would be wearing sweaters.
Got some patio things done for winter, now I can watch football.
