Got a couple of things done this week.  Ordered new gates for my driveway and today ordered new drapes for three rooms.  Not cheap but overdue.

Wife is due for a permanent this afternoon so maybe I will get some free time while she is there.

Beautiful Weather but cool.  Maybe a shower on Sunday.

later,

Ray

Sitting sick in front of the darn tube today. Hack, hack. It just makes me sicker how the constantly running media mouth can focus on the TV sitcom guy’s B.C.'s sex scandal thing more than the victims from the storms, tornados, flooding and lives lost all around the rest of the country in the last week. Just wrong! And is that news??? Not to me.  Cough, cough. SoapBox sorry just had to.  Tongue Tied Hack.

Sounds like I'm not the only still fighting a cough and hack... going on 3 weeks for me fellas! The past two days I have finally seen improvement. Sigh

On the good news front... I have lost 20 lbs since I have been working from home. Guess eating out at lunch wasn't such a good dietary choice? LOL Also think not having the stress from driving is playing a rather large role as well. Can't tell you how much happier I am.

It's been about 2-3 weeks here also. With the cough hack etc.

And rain all day didn't help and having to have to go out in it. Want to do some wire wheel work on a couple of things with the dremel but need to goto the garage to do so but with this weather and the dampness no way with this cold I have. Looks like maybe Friday or saturday. Thats fine I have other work to do ie put a new smoke unit in a 675, rewire 3 whistle tenders and test them to see if they even work. Tongue Tied

Have a good evening

I worked on the truck today and got the fuel injectors on the passenger side in and will get the valve covers and all the stuff back on tomorrow hopefully then go on to the driver side.  I start day shift Friday so the truck work will pause till I get off Monday.

Hope you guys start feeling better soon, try drinking some apple cider vinegar in water. It will help you kick the bug.

Time for bed, goodnight and may God bless

Good evening all,

Quiet day.  Paid the Visa bill and got the water from under the house with the sump pump.  Woo-hoo!   Did very little else.  Did run the HO train a bit tonight.   I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Evening all!

Staying pretty busy the last few days. Weather here has been pleasant but cool.

Our old mutt still hanging in there. Losing some control of her back legs. She has lasted a lot longer then the vet predicted.

Have a great day tomorrow all!

Dull dull and dull is our word for today. Supposed to get to the mighty goose egg then fall to 26 by evening here...oh...a 40% chance of little tiny snowflurries as well.

Tonight both of us are heading to church and getting home in time for the Potluck here...this year our neighbour to the north of us are hosting it...

I got up early this morning because I still have things to get for tonight...sigh.

Chloe, I'll have a couple of eggs scrambled with some potatoe wedges and coffee please...I''ll be at the RC for now.

---------------------------------------------

Guys...this --ern.-- cold will want to stick around. I have had this going on to 5 flipping weeks now. Ick!

Mornin' boys.  Clearing and 48 here in the Mid-Atlantic region.  We had 10 straight days of rain, and it does weigh on folks.  I managed to skip away again to visit my folks in WV.  Ate well.  Then returned for my baby-sitting duty, but princesses are being a big help.

Certainly hope '16 brings changes in latitudes (or in our case, altitudes...)

Good moring from overcast and 40F Southern Ohio

Its dry right now.  Going to Mass this afternoon but before that going to get back to the truck injectors.

I've got a bid on a pre-war AF set, I'm not going to go crazy right now money wise. Christmas is all paid for, but untill the job status firms up we'll be prudent.

Got to go.

May God bless

Aloha. Sunny and coooold. Going to get colder. Seeing off the daughter and SiL on their sojourn into Chicago for the holiday. Not for me. We'll gather with some friends and their younger kids. Maybe race R/C cars in the dark until the batteries run out. May you sickies feel better soon!

Afternoon all.  Still raining.  Inches in the last few days.  Warmest December and wettest since 1887.  Woods flooded down east.  Have to wade to deer stands.  Going tomorrow morning early.  Last day of season.

Hope all have a great New Years.  Suppose to eat pork, blackeyed peas and collards.  Better eat a lot of blackeyed peas.  Suppose tog et a dollar for each one you eat.

Interesting situation:

Guy put a new heat pump/A/C unit in the Train Box three years ago. Never billed me. I kept going by and asking his wife [she is bookkeeper] for a bill. She said hubby had to do it. Did this about every two months for a year. Nothing. Next year I saw him in restaurant twice. Said, "Nice of your to give me a free heat pump." His reply, "OH, I'll get you a bill." Stopped at the office once again and asked. Nothing. Well, this year [number 3] I quit asking. Last night I get a text. "You had asked me for an invoice for heat pump many moons ago." "I found an old one." "It is for $3,600." "If I get it to you tomorrow, will you pay it then." My reply, "No, I will after the first of the year." "Just paid property taxes on home and farms." Should have told him, will in 3 years. But a debut is a debut. There goes my guns and trains funds.

Will try and get a new Pot for a new year started tonight early.

BTW: this software is horrible.  Why I don't post here much.  Changed size and will not change back.

Happy New Year all,

started the day with home made ham, cheese and egg bisquits.  Yum yum.

All set for the rose bowl tomorrow and the parade in Pasadena.  Will watch it on TV.  Probably will be cold for the people who stay overnight on the sidewalk.  Good luck!

Wondering son is back  home for the holiday.  All is well.

BTW: this software is horrible.  Why I don't post here much.  Changed size and will not change back.

Chief, I find that happens to with some stuff I try to cut and paste here. And I have to do that because there is no spell checker on this software. Seems I can paste okay from MSword but if I cut and try to paste from anything internet it will not allow any changes. The strange thing is if you go into a PM Here everything works fine even spell checker????  Who knows?  Confused

I had the same kind of thing with the guy who put in our driveway and foundation dig work. I asked and asked for a itemized bill for two years then just gave up. I had already given him the 15K he said it would cost. The next year at Christmas he sends me a bill for another 9K with a letter from his laywer. I told him to bite me, He settled for 5K.  Angry I had to sell my 1968 428 Fairlaine to pay it off. Bang Head

Sent the wife to town for meds. Hope they work.

Happy New Year!!!!!

Afternoon all from Southern Ohio

Still overcast and low 40's.  Feels colder in the garage working on the truck.

SJ-Don't worry about running the bid up, my limit is not too high.

Chief-The software for the pot does seem odd.  After just coming back a month or so ago I noticed it was different but I did not realize it was a newer format as well. It does not seem to work as well as I remember the old format or the diesel truck forum I frequent.

My new year's plan call for going to be before midnight as I start dayshift Friday which means up at 5 am.

All stay safe and have a blessed new year!

The Train

At birth we boarded the train and met our parents, and we believe they will always travel on our side. However, at some station our parents will step down from the train, leaving us on this journey alone.

As time goes by, other people will board the train; and they will be significant i.e. our siblings, friends, children, and even the love of our life. Many will step down and leave a permanent vacuum.

Others will go so unnoticed that we don't realize they vacated their seats. This train ride will be full of joy, sorrow, fantasy, expectations, hellos, goodbyes, and farewells.

Success consists of having a good relationship with all passengers requiring that we give the best of ourselves.

The mystery to everyone is: We do not know at which station we ourselves will step down. So, we must live in the best way, love, forgive, and offer the best of who we are. It is important to do this because when the time comes for us to step down and leave our seat empty we should leave behind beautiful memories for those who will continue to travel on the train of life.

I wish you a joyful journey for 2016 on the train of life. Reap success and give lots of love. More importantly, thank God for the journey.

Lastly, I thank you for being one of the passengers on my train.

Happy New Year !

We did lose some great friends this year Chuck at top of the list and we also lost Boxcar bill just recently unexpectedly to us. We need to look back and look at the past year the good and the not so good. Count our blessing and look forward to the new year as to our plans continue thru the new year.

Good evening all,

Well said, Dougnotagrump and Buckeye.  Chuck was a true gentleman and one who could be counted on to soothe things down here when needed.  Wife and I went to see Star Wars.  They did a nice job with it.  Got the chair for my desk fixed as well.   No water under the house.   Normally we get together with some friends as we have the past 20 or 30 years, but they were both too ill to attend.  I wish all of you the best for 2016.  Happy New Year!   I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,
