It is also on the club webpage that is also open to all. For some reason this forum seems to frown on club posting, even though we sell nothing. Also they do not allow the mention of other forums by name so I have no other way to tell the guys when the video has been posted.

Hello there,
Had a good time at the show on Sunday. I ran in to one of the dealers I know later. He said attendance was way off. I'm not sure why because they even advertised on TV. One thing I wonder about is the show runs from 9 to 2. Thats good for dealers and people into trains but it ends to early for those who go to church eat lunch and look for something to do. I bought an old Tyco set for less than I've seen the engine (what I really wanted) go for. The boxes are toast but the cars are pretty good.
The viewing went as expected yesterday. Today will be the hard part..........Thans for your support.

It seems the Everett Railroaid bought it to run excursions. They have been running Fall Foilage and Christmas trains for several years. It is a local shortline running on an abandoned PRR/Conral branch that servers Appleton Papers and a couple local feed mills. There was an article in MRR about them a few years ago.

Back from some vacation travel. Tired and caught a cold on the last day.
Looks like I may have to miss York. Some big train work projects are running behind due to parts availability and supplier issues. So have to double up efforts to make delivery dates. Bummer.

Jim - the D3R's video is great. Nice layout and obviously you guys like passenger trains! Hard to see you through the smoke!
Roy that layout is one large loop all the trains were running on it. The orangr DT&I was mine. We had 4 trains on there and had room for more but most of the time you can't see where your train is. I used the horn to follow mine. I did bump one train as I rounded a curve one of the other trains had stopped. Twas fun but you gotta stay alert.

Got in a small box over the weekend and opened it up last night. Oh boy, lot's of beautiful diesel power in N gauge. Couple of U-boats, an RSD, an Alco RS-1 (yeah, baby!), and a very impressive SF Dash 80. A few western road cars rounded out the mix. Looking forward to running them on the new layout.
Thanks Fife! and enjoy those K units. They are beautiful locos. Cool idea to open the box up w/ the grandson!

Kev - the detail on that 0-8-0 is impressive and the drive rod linkage is great. Will look good in slow motion working your logging area.

Thanks guys for the birthday greetings. My oldest son and his wife took us out for a birthday lunch a day early yesterday because he had to work today. My youngest son is home today so we will have another birthday dinner with him tonight. My grandson has his birthday next Saturday but he is in college. Will celebrate his later in the month. I am 79 now and not counting anymore. I never thought I would get this far.
Sad news about our USC football coach getting fired over drinking problems. I wish him a good recovery but the team needs a sober coach.

As good as we played a month ago in the 0-0 tie, we were that much more awesome and more in a 11 v 11 matchup tonight. Three quick goals in the first 10 minutes set the tone as we cruised to a 7-1 win. We passed, we talked, we defended and we shot our way to a very satisfying victory. I did the entire 50 minutes and my legs are paying for it now, but it was great on the field. I made some nice touches, even received a pass or two, and did well for the limits I had. If we keep hitting on all cylinders, we can win the title. I hope everyone has a good day.

I went to a local (Altoona PA) train show this weekend, and did something a bit out of character for me. I've long been a postwar enthusiast, and over the past few years I've been getting more and more into modern 3rs (but no command control). But the only prewar tinplate I have is what I inherited from my parents.
This time, having seen nothing 3rs that interested me (or at a price I thought fair), my eyes fell upon a prewar Lionel 259E with four tinplate cars. Everything was in superior condition, and the price for the lot was $150. So on a whim, I bought it.
The tender was missing its coupler, so I stopped at a parts dealer on the way out and bought a replacement. Once I got home, I started cleaning and lubing the locomotive. It didn't show any signs of serious wear, so not much work was required. Then I cleaned the wheels on the rolling stock and gave everything a coat of wax, to clean, shine and protect.
But it wasn't till today that I had a chance to set up some 027 track on the basement floor and get it all rolling. Except for a bit of trouble with one of my Marx 027 switches (I swapped in another one), everything was great! Watching the colorful little consist buzzing around the track was a satisfying experience, very different from the kick I get from the scale equipment, or even the postwar.
Nothing like watching a nearly eighty-year-old train set, still churning along the way it did on some long-ago Christmas morning. Next step will be some passenger cars for the 259E to pull.

Got back last night, trip was great, had a great time with the Princess. Tears flowed quite freely as we said good bye. Its great that our father-daughter relationship is so close. She really is the best thing that has ever happened to me.
We made a quick stop, like we always do, to Colonial Photo and Hobby outside Orlando. Unfortunatly, nothing caught my interest. Maybe next time.
Twas hot, but the Princesses new apartment was not cheap on the AC, and that's the way they keep it 68-72.
Doing laundry, going to head upstairs for a few.
I thought the Pepsi thing was humourous, some are just overly sensitive, I suppose.

Arkady - I totally get what you're stating about the nostalgia of Prewar (Postwar in my case). I just have to remind myself that the engines are old, and rest them after 15 minutes or so, as to not tax their decades old motors.
