Evenin' boys.  Damp and 44 here in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Went to the range one last time. 100, and 100. Cowboy

Crying "Sorry fife" is right.  I'll be trying not to think of YORK this time around.  Too much other stuff biding for my time and funds at the moment.  You all have a good time without me.  I'll be allright.

Good morning foggy and mild had some rain overnight with more on the way.

Speaking of Rain:
I heard on the news that even after all of this time California has been in this bad drought and have been asked to limit water use, they have only voluntarily reduced usage by 3%.  That is not going to cut it. Hope they get more rain before something we all understand to well forces them to reduce usage. A water use tax..
Nice video Doug, thanks for the link. You could not get away leaving that stuff behind here.
Got the answers I needed for the two Marx projects I am working on for my uncle with help from others on the main CTT board. Now to get the parts and do the work. Smile

Have a good day.

Aloha. Grey and misty but warming up. Baseball is my game too, Chief, though I don't have much hope for the White Sox. Another church meeting last night, but a good time to catch up with my fellow production volunteers. Safe journeys to all the Yorkies!

Did you see this video on the Lionel website - about the train wreck scene in the Fugitive movie? I wonder if this is near Rolesville?  http://tracks.lionel.com/a-hollywood-train-wreck-left-behind/

Good evening all,

A draining day at work, but got taxes done tonight for both feds and state.  Fed refund, but owe the state.  Relaxed watching Izombie tonight.   Has a very "Veronica Mars" feel to it.  Probably won't last long, but will enjoy it while it is on.  Got some other good news as Simona will be running the Indy car race in New Orleans this weekend.   It would be nice if she could run the entire season.   I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Good morning all,

Saw an interesting obituary in the L.A. Times this morning for Jenny Wallenda who was part of the famous Wallenda High Wire Troupe.  My best friend who died about three years ago worked with Jenny in 1957,58 and 59 as part of the seven person pyramid.  She was 87. She rode a chair on top of the pyramid.  They had a bad fall in Detroit in 1962 but Jenny was not working that night and her cousin took her place but survived the fall.  However, Jenny's husband was killed along with one other member of the group.  Her grandson is Nick Wallenda who is the guy who has been doing walks over the Grand Canyon and Niagra falls on TV a few months ago

I went to a different care giver meeting last night near where I live.  Met a lot of nice people.  Hard for me to make this meeting because of my schedule.  I usually go to another one twice a month but further from home.

Got a glimmer of hope a while back about an engine that MTH is repairing for me.  They said they now have the part and would complete it soon but that has been a while.  They have a long waiting period for repairs.

Sister in Virginia has taken a turn for the worse.  She is in a bad way with her cancer.  We are preparing ourselves for whatever comes.

later,

Ray

Aloha. Rainy and feels freezing. I definitely wore the wrong jacket today. Although I am wearing White Sox gear because we're allowed to do so today to celebrate the beginning of baseball. Boy, did they get shellacked yesterday! I have another meeting at church tonight that I may skip because I had one last night too... Spent more train money on more wedding stuff yesterday too. Smile

Good Morning,

We got the rain last night guys and will for the next two days. 43 cloudy and going to 60 today. Warmer and rain till Friday. Sending all to points east.

My uncle Johnny is coming over at noon. We are going to Seneca for lunch then I will work on his prewar Marx steamer while he runs his new to him Rock Island Marx AB set around the layout. I will try to get a video and some pictures of the steamer to see if anyone can figure out for sure what it is. I have never seen couplers like it has???  Confused

Have a good day.

Update:

Here is the Marx #99 in action.

Evenin' fellas...

I think it has been a couple weeks since I've checked in... still breathing. Smile

Like Don said, although I've not posted much I have been thinking of you all. Hey - was that Mitch with a drive-by? Good to see he is still around. Thumbs Up

York is right around the corner. Can't wait. After a year off, it will be good to see the guys again. Hope to drop the kiddos off at daycare when it opens and hopefully make to Round-the-Clock before you all head to the show.

Christina has been asking to go on another train ride, so that is on the books for next Saturday when TheQ is at a morning function, then in the evening we'll drop the kiddos off at daycare for Parent's Night Out, it is a nice thing daycare does for the parents so they can get out without the kids (and miss them like crazy) and not spend more on baby sitters than they do going out.

Good morning all,

Wife started feeling faint in church yesterday so we went outside for a while.  It was her old claustrophobia thing again.  She can't handle big crowds.  Normal church is OK but the place is always full at Christmas and Easter.  Dinner went well and we all had a good meal followed by apple pie a la mode.

Rain is actually forcast in the next day or two.  Hope we get some.  I have cut back on my watering voluntarily before we get hit with mandatory rationing.

Have a good week,

Ray

Aloha. Grey but warmish downtown today. Looks like some much-needed rain is on the way. We enjoyed a nice Easter meal on a beautiful spring day. I filled 52 plastic eggs with little treats that the little nieces and nephews found. I helped my FiL by moving his outdoor furniture and lawnmower up from the basement and putting away his snowblower. I hope to aerate and overseed the lawn today when I get home from work. It's a mess. I'm envious of your green thumbs.

Roy, I think all Cubs fans are required to wear hard hats and work between innings. It's weird how under construction everything is in Wrigley - it'll take them until 2018 to finish up (looks like the ball club itself needs a bit more work). I am glad your Maggie has bounced back!

Bob, have you ever looked at the Graham Farnish N scale line? There are some nice English trolley-ish trams.

Dennis - happy belated Birthday. Hope you felt celebrated last week.

Kev, that RI tandem looks great. I visited Chicagoland Hobbies last week and they had one in good shape for $200. You did well.

Don, so glad you are moving around.

Jon, it is 8 am and now I want some BBQ... Smile

Beautiful morning.  Meetings today.  No Town Board tonight as no need to meet to just to meet.  One item that can be delayed.

Have a great week ahead.
