Aloha and happy motoring. Ha ha to SJ!  Buckeye, I think I got an Auburn truck and car too. They belonged to my dad. I'll have to dig them out for a place on the layout.

Spring has arrived. 50 now and heading to 73 with full sun. Cool

You know Buckeye, the whole thing just biffs me off. Today cars are full of computers and electronic parts and that is the one area that they seldom fail. One would think that Lionel could handle making a few small electronic parts that work. Confused

My two Williams by Bachmann engines are stump pullers and never miss a lick.

I am so disappointed that I canceled my order for the North Metro M7 set.

Morning all!

Been very busy the last few days. York travel arrangements completed. With Southwest Airlines now flying direct to BWI, there is competition and we got very good roundtrip airfares.

Finally warming up here. The good news it hit 82 today. The bad news is the AC compressor for the section of the house with the bedrooms went out Monday. Install of new one is tomorrow morning. $$$$$ Crying It's a good thing the tickets to York were cheap.

Edit: almost forgot. Our dog Maggie bounced back. I have had this happen before. We are happy that she is moving around and eating again as well as a 15 yr old can do.

Have a great day all!

Regards, Roy

April Fools day, sunny and 51.

It's snowing like a blizzard but I'm not going to shovel it.

Good afternoon,

I think it has been about a month since I last posted.  Traveling for work and life are keeping me busy.  I am not working the next couple of weeks as I am helping my wife recover from a surgery. She is doing well, but cannot lift anything or drive for another two weeks or so.  I should be able to check in more frequently now.

I hope everyone is well.

Good evening all,

Very busy day at work.  Watched Arrow tonight.  I am about ready to give up on it and the Flash already.  Sometimes you have a good show and the people muddle it up by adding "depth" and "complexity" to the story lines.   Arrow may have crossed the line and the Flash is getting close.   I am not sure what to think of much of anything anymore.   I did pick up some more sticks in the yard and most of the visible pieces of trash as well.  The weather was nice in Indiana and I made my usual walk.   There is a lot more I would like to say, but maybe the best thing I could ask is that you all keep the people of Indiana in your thoughts and prayers.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Lite rain going into the 60s for 1 day.

Well, what a surprise, yesterday was not the 13th after all. I won't use it again till it's on a Thursday, thats close enough to get someone to check the calander. Chief reports getting a haircut. I guess that's better then being taken to the vets for grooming.

Holy Thursday…….
Been MIA, this chest cold has been killing me, but I’m on the uptick now.
Did go to the WGH shoe in Edison, NJ….nice event, spoke to J Don Reese at Lionel about the Camelbacks, and the guy at Williams was abrupt (I wanted a demo on the True Blast Plus, but he wasn’t interested…).
Weather is better….up to 65 today sunny and breezy.
My shocks and leaf springs are in for the road runner.  Now in its cozy new home, work will start in earnest next weekend.  I have 2 doctors’ appointments and they are early.  Hopefully by Sunday the 12th, we will be burning gas and rubber….
Angel for those in need….see ya soon!

Good afternoon,

It's been raining off and on here all day.  We might get some storms this evening.  The wife is moving around better today.  She and I went to pick up some groceries and Easter presents for the kids.  We will take our daughter to ballet class shortly and then grab some dinner.

Thanks Chuck!  It's good to read your posts again.

G'day All.

Saw the cardiologist yesterday, only a slight downward change as determined by the echo gram. Dr has changed my meds to see if that will result in a positive change. Also gave me a referral to a specialist to see if an implant is a possible route for improvement/safety. Almost forgot, the "BetterHalf" went with me and didn't react well to the Dr's news but he was able to answer her questions so she left in a positive frame of mind.

Got every thing ready for the museum tomorrow. Orders of the day "Easter Bunny Trains" and of course the required delectably sweet morsels to pass out to the munchkins (load 'em up on sugar and send them home).

Hello all

Back in the sunny and warm Ol' Pueblo.

Put a new rear engine mount in the 4dr yesterday. Original was now of the '2 piece' variety. Bill is going to take it to the next club meet as an example of what not to do:)

Got to go over to Bill's place this morning and move the Corvan. Some guys from the club are parting out two cars and they are going to pull out the big pieces today and the 'Green Tortoise' is kinda in the way.

Doug - yeah, that little trolley is something. At some point I'd like to try an N-scale traction layout w/ DCC. I thinking about putting it on the other side of my 3 x 4 O gauge test layout. Maybe 1 or 2 more of one like I already have and then there are some old kits available to make into an express car and a line car. The place in Japan I got the trolley from sells some reasonable powered chassis units that may fit.

Kev - bummer on the Lionel set. Nothing beats Marx for simplicity, toughness, and reliability. Will have to look up that Marx RI set. I have the SP 6000 set that uses a steam engine motor w/o the drive rods.

Well off I go. Work on the big trolley today too.

Bob, Have fun working on the big trolley!!   Smile

Here is a shot of the Marx #99 I got for my uncle. He will be coming over to get it next week. He has another what looks like a PREwar Marx steamer he wants me to get running. I may need your help to ID it.

For $52.70 total investment, you got a great deal! Really looks nice. Your Uncle will be a proud owner. I think I'll have to start looking at Marx equipment.

Thanks for posting the photo.

TGIF.....

Well it was decided.  I'm going to Denver instead of York.  Maybe I'll make the fall show.  I might have time while in Denver to see the Colorado Rail Museum.

Wishing everyone a very Happy Easter.

Good evening,

We had rain all day today; a couple of times it came down heavy, but most of the time it was soft or a drizzle.  The wife was a bit more sore today, probably because she did too much yesterday.  Therefore, she spent most of the day relaxing in bed.  The kids and I did some house chores and I went grocery shopping.  I had to pick up quite a few items for Easter dinner.  Tomorrow will be a busy day for me as I will make Italian Easter pie, homemade gnocchi, and start marinating the lamb.  I also need to start cleaning out the flower beds.

I hope you all had a great day.

Hello there,

Relaxing with a glass of wine. Seafood Buffet was busy again tonight. The count was over 760 and it died at 6 30.  The average for 7 weeks is over 745

After it died we ate and BSed a while before heading home for a soak in the hot tub and a glass of wine.

Think I'll go to bed. Struggling to stay awake

Prayers for those in need

Mornin' boys.  Partly cloudy and 51 here in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Lots to do - lots to do.  Seems we got "stuck" with hosting Easter dinner tomorrow, so I'll be preppin' fifedom 'til then.

Better "hop" to it!

Swede, I am amazed at how smooth that Marx engine runs. My uncle is coming over on Tuesday to get it. Hope I can get his prewar steamer running as well.
Buckeye, The Colorado Rail Museum sounds like a plan or maybe the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad ride and museum would be fun.  Yes
Fife, We will be going to the SIL’s parents tomorrow. All we got to do is bring cookies.   Wink
