Sun and 70s for 1 day.

Enough snow has melted that I finally found the snow blower.

York time must be close.

V8 Dennis, you have confirmed what I thought too that the car ought to be worth at least 1000K if it is running.  Thanks.

Wife went to another doctor yesterday for memory problems etc.  Meeting went well.  No change in medication.

Got a minor problem this morning with an outdoor water spigot.  I attached an extension on my original spigot that has a built in valve for a 3/16 water line to my swamp cooler so that I can leave the main spigot open and the other one shut off and still get water in the 3/16 line.  The shutoff valve in the extension must have gone bad this morning because now it won't shut off.  Guess I'll just buy a new extension.  The one that is on there now is only 6 months old.  Nothing last long these days.  Probably made overseas.

Banks - those plants in bloom are old news here.  The dayfodils and forsythias have been done for a week or 10 days here.  I've got tulups, the lilac bush and quince bush in bloom.  The trees are growing leaves, too.  I'm a fair distance farther south than you are, though.  I've got to get herbs, pepers, and tomatos in pretty soon.

Mid 70's and sunny.  Line of cumulus clouds were approaching from the west when I left work - rain, the weather gussers say for the weekend.

I was talking to my LHS about ordering one of the NYC Lionchief Hudsons.  None of his distributors have any.  Rumor has it that the run is sold out.

All for now.

SJ, how does the song go? "Repo man is on his way, fault line runs right through my bed, lost my lunch box somewhere but I'm still here"  The late John Hartford who was on the Glen Campbell show sang it.  He also wrote "Gentle on my Mind" which Campbell made a big hit.

I guess all the forum guys are doing Saturday things.  Since I retired, every day is Saturday.  Keep that railroad retirement coming in.

Son is off to car race in Long Beach today so I'm stuck here again but will take wife with me if I go out.

later,

Ray

Dennis, spring has sprung out here on the North Bluff above Marseilles IL. We don't have great weather all year long like you lucky ones on the left coast. But we don't have the loads of people either. Been a heavy week staining rebuilding the deck steps and getting ready for the wife to cover it all up with her flowers. The weather could not of been better for outdoor work. Now it is cooling off and rain is on the way, so maybe some train time is needed?  Have mowed the whole lawn and rolled it as well. Very dry for this time of year.

Mornin' boys.  Breezy and a little cooler in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Hope to get my "grill on" before the weather.  Looks like NASCAR race will be delayed.  Spent all day yesterday preppin' and paintin' the yatchet bottom.  When I looked in the boathouse mirror, I resembled John Candy in 1941. Laugh  Anyway, almost finished the work on the hard, which is a good 3 weeks later than in the past.  Some winter.

Hope all the Yorkies made it home safe and sound with their treasures.  I want a full report.

Good evening all,

Maybe the only time I can brag about the Indy 11 soccer team, but they are currently in 2nd in the NASL after Saturday's win.   Not so good with Indycar as AJ's drivers did not place well at Long Beach.   Did score a 1985 BN Unit car set at a TCA meet.  Wife was with me and let me buy it.  It is practically brand new.  For the most part a quiet weekend.   I did ref a game Saturday morning, and we watched a tape of Chelsea winning 1-0 over Man U.   I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

A couple of thunderstormes blew through this weekend.

Quiet weekend.  Watched the F1 race this morning and had the Indy Car race on in the background this afternoon.

Was tinkering with my 3656 coral and stock car today.  Got the cattle running around the coral and through the car, but the transition needs some work.

All for now.

Morning all.  Rainy.  Big rains last night.  Some more today in forecast.  County Commissioners this afternoon and Mayors' Assoc. meeting tonight.  Had Dr.'s follow up this AM.  Dr. called my cell and apologized for being sick and not go to her office today.  Never heard of such.  That whole practice is so personable.

Prayers for Christina.  Hope all is OK.

Fifey, are you collecting "whities"?  Read where you invited SJ to drop his off at your house.

All have a great week ahead.

Aloha from a misty and cool Chicago. We had pleasant-enough weather this weekend for me to begin collecting brush for the city-pick-up later this month. I also served as video director for church services which takes a good chunk of Sat and Sun. Watched the Cubs lose and Blackhawks win on TV whilst really waiting for the NASCAR race. I forget, do they run it today if rained out yesterday or do they wait longer?

Dennis, I too enjoy reading what everyone is up to in different parts of the country.

Anyone looking for anything in particular at York this year?

Afternoon fellas

I'm worn out already. Bal'more traffic sucks, add some rain to the mix and rush hour and well you have a recipe that no one likes the outcome. We were 10 minutes late to Christina's appointment, sat for another 50 minutes before being taken back to see the Dr... ends up she has a bruised upper tibia near her knee, she had been walking funny (with a limp) which caused her ankle some issues, so she is now in a pink walking cast for 3 weeks. Talk about NOT HAPPY!!!! She complained the whole ride home... was about to call Don and then remembered I never got his ###. Smile

Doug, It finished, but late.  Matt Kenseth won. It is most times done on the next day if there is a rain out.

I have been Hauling, grading and pushing gravel today. Done for now.

Windy, cold and damp on the tractor. :-(

Good evening all,

Busy day at work.  Almost 20 new cases.  Blustery day.   Did not dress warm enough for walk today.   Shin splint did not bother me today.  Should be good to go for the Mini.  Going to watch Jane the Virgin.   Saw where Princess Sparkle Pony was 9th and now 13th in points.   Can you imagine if she made the "Chase"?  Even more if she won it????   I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Morning,

Cold and bright here on The North Bluff. Had to get my winter jacket back out.  Sad Making chili in the crock pot for tonight and will hook up with Uncle Johnny latter to give him back his post-war Marx steamer and have lunch.

Have a good one.

Aloha. Sunny and cold downtown. At least I dressed for it today rather than freezing yesterday. Thanks for the NASCAR update, Kev. Funny, I looked around and couldn't find the delay info. Safe travels to York, everyone!
