Good Morning from Blueberryhill........

Good Morning,  Joe.... Your move to Ohio sounds interesting. It must require a lot of planning.

It is a foggy 68 degrees. Going up to 74 today with storms later.

Today is a busy day. I have chores and a lot of paperwork to do. I will be busy until lunch. Then a well deserved nap.

Cheerios for breakfast on the dining car.

Y'all have a great Wednesday.

Chuck

Hi GUYZ,

Been real busy here the last 4 dayz.  Saturday dismantled and rebuilt neighbors shed with T11 and new plywood for roof and new shingles.  Sunday built new doors for him and hung them.  Monday ripped down my shed to start on new 20 x 25 foot pavilion.  Monday my BIL from ESCONDIDO came in.  He rode his bicycle from Escondido to Millersburg in 40 days.  Pretty cool.  He is going to finish at his hometown of Scranton, Pa. on Thursday.  That's a lot of pedal pushin there.  Not to mention a sore rear end.  He is in fine shape and only lost 9 lbs,  Not to bad for a guy that is 68 years old.  But he's looking forward to the end of his journey.  We fed him good the past two days and he left this morning as is headed up to my MOMs to stay the night.  WOW, is all I have to say.

HUDSONJOHN, Angel for your friend may he RIP.

Had the CHUCK SPECIAL for breakfast.

JOEY D,  so your gonna be an O HI OIAN?  Guess you'll be shooting the SNO CANNON with CHUCK and BUCKEYE?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUCKEYE!!!!!!!  It is about that time?

I guess I was confused it really is DA CHIEFs B DAY?

CakeHappy B-DayHappy B-DayCake Wish you a very HAPPY HEALTHY BIRTHDAY CHIEFIE!!!!!

Stay frosty my friends,

Aloha. Looks like a rainy, quiet day for the Chief's birthday. Everyone in Chicago must be recovering from celebrating last night. Smile. It was a quiet evening after work l last night too.

Evenin' boys.  Sunny & 65 here in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Busy weekend, but first and foremost was FifeGranny being hospitalized for Pancreitus.  Then took oldest princess and her little family out on the yatchet yesterday.  She was at the helm for over 2 hours, and never got crossed up by the wind once.  Pretty good for a first timer.  Grandson had a melt-down at the snowball stand;sheesh.

SirJames - is June a Grits-free month...?

88 - Ouch.  Ouch. And ouch.

Fife - prayers for your grandmother's speedy recovery. Sounds like you had fun on the yatchet... not so much at the snowball stand... been there... done that... a few time now.

It is official - we are going to Walt Disney World in September. Christina THINKS we are going 'tomorrow' which is what she tells anyone who she thinks cares - which is everyone. LOL. Just going for a few days, mostly so Mommy and Daddy can get out of the house! Big Smile

No word on when I will get my car back. Really miss it because the rental company gave me this really awesome Chevy Impala that has ZERO torque, ZERO HP, and the response of a mule. And yes it does have a V6. It also doesn't have automatic climate control, no Satellite radio and no Bluetooth, and this is supposed to be their top-of-the-line model?

Evenin' boys.  A balmy 84 here in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Sorry if I confused anyone.  Kelly is fine.  My Grandmother is the one in poor  health.  She will be going home today...for hospice...and the eventual...  Had a beautiful visit with her.  She is ready.

I'm not ready. Broken Heart

Thanks gang.

Sat most of afternoon in shade of pecan tree with a slight breeze.  Finn [golden doodle], was beside me [Wiley and Lucy were too hot so went inside].  We watched the soaker hoses soak the garden.  Ran to WalMart this afternoon.  What a t'storm hit there.  Got to Rville and sprinkle.  It rained out over Wake Forest. Angry  Now it shows it made back up over farms down east.  I am sure they are happy.  Think some more rain later tonight. [fingers crossed and praying]

Off to meet the whole gang at Mexican at 6 + -.   Pam came up with that one.  Had one of my favorites last night.  Chicken slick [pastry].

Fife, way to say it.  Prayers.

Thanks again guys.

Brent,

Where would you like to start with the Impala? Smile, Wink & Grin  Now you see some of the reasons why I hated the Sunfire I had.  Even Mazda's old four cylinders run stronger (and much more reliably) than GM's 2.2 "2200" boat anchor that was in that Sunfire.  Bought it at 63K and it was a downhill slide until I got rid of it at 93K.

Frank, glad you had a good birthday.  Don't let that Buckeye character steal your day.

We had a good meeting with the financial advisor today and he was a big help to me  on some of the problems we have been dealing with.

I found the address for a support group near me too which I can use if I wish.

My youngest son went with us today down to Orange County to see the financial guy so we all had lunch on the way home at a place near us.  It was very good.  A place kind of like a deli but with hot and cold sandwiches, soup, even regular dinners.  Cold slaw was delicious and steak fries were perfect.  I had a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich and they did it right.

We have been eating out more lately but it has been good for us.

later,

Ray

Good evening all,

Lost by a touchdown and a field goal tonight in soccer 9-0.   Whole team played awful, not just me.  Weather was good for it.  Work was good today, got a lot done.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Konbanwa and Ohayo Chuck,

I think today was the first official day of Japan's rainy season.  It's been raining since noon and the forecast shows no signs of it letting up.  The rainy season will last all of June and possibly some of July.  I was busy at work today; I needed to finish more tasks than usual since I will take a day of leave tomorrow.  The wife will be spending the day at the older son's school so I'll be home with the youngest.  We splurged and had pizza for dinner tonight.

Chuck - We're used to moving now.  This will be our seventh move in 20 years.

Laz - I'm looking forward to all that snow.

Fife - I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother.

SP Ray - I'm glad you received some financial advice from the advisor.

Sayonara,

Joe

Mornin' All.

Chief, A belated Happy B-Day, and many more to come.

Ray, The support groups can be extremely beneficial. The group that we attend for my CHF has really helped us, especially the "Betterhalf".

Fife, Prayers for your Grandmom and family, acceptance is one thing but being ready is something else. Angel

Laz, Big Congas to you B-I-L, that is outstanding at 68. BowBow Was this a fundraiser event or just for the heck of it ? Sounds like a good "human interest story" for local tv.

Two long days at the museum last friday(10hrs) and saturday(11hrs), DCS gremlins made the days seem longer than they were to begin with. Systems all worked fine on tuesday, free tuesday for county residents, but crowd was much smaller than normal. Probably only about 1500 guests for the day. Now to start packing for tomorrow's run, plus it's my turn to do lunch.

Laundry's calling, gotta go.

Later all !

Good evening all,

Work was awful today.   Did hear from Lucas today.  He is ok.   Played again tonight in local pickup game.  Lost 11-9, but did get a goal.  Weather is better.  Still sweated on my walk today.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Konnichiwa and Ohayo Chuck,

Day 2 of the deluge is upon us.  The wife was supposed to help out the older son's class with a scavenger hunt today but it was cancelled due to the weather.  I could have cancelled my day of leave and went to work but I decided it would be nice to have a day with just the wife and youngest.  We went out for a late breakfast and have been relaxing the day away.  The wife and youngest also completed a moderately difficult jigsaw puzzle.  It's a great day to stay inside and read.

Hudson John - The rain is not supposed to stop for the next 10 days.  I think our baseball season is over.  Sad

Philo - Nice guitar.

SJ - Thanks for the offer.  Please hold it in your driveway until I can get there.

Sayonara,

Joe

Hi GUYZ,

Been still busy here.  Got old shed done and now to take stone fireplace apart then break up old concrete floor.  Gotta cut grass then later.

B-I-L is finished with his cross country bicycle trip.  Final tally in mileage was 3239 miles!!!!!   That's a lot of pedaling.  He did not have a flat and no breakdowns.  He is flying back to Sand i eggo on Tuesday.

DOUGDAGRUMP, no money raiser.  He is just one of those GUYZ that likes to push himself in different endeavors.  He has done the Whiney Mt. hikes up and down in a day.  The California  John  Muir trail,.  Rode his bicycle 1100 miles up and down the west coast.  Bicycled Taiwan alone for 2 weeks. Climbed up to base camp in Nepal a few times with his brother.  He doesn't know what he'll venture in next?

DON, when you climbing back on the Lokie?  Hope you are mending well.

CHARLIE, is the ice gone yet?  Gonna put the fishing back a few weeks.  Hows that new basement coming?

FIFE,Angel for you and yours.

HUDSONJOHN, soft ice creamSmileYes.

CHUCK & BUCKEYE, TGIF!!!!!!

Laz - Looks like you found some competition. Surprise

Funny story - for those not on FB

Last Night TheQ had to work late due to a major inspection she is heading, they are preparing for an audit from The FDA AND EU, she is stressed beyond belief because her company isn't responsible for this, SHE was requested to lead this because of her experience and reputation (so profoundly proud of her). Any how I have been getting the kids from daycare and last night Christina, Matthew and I were upstairs getting ready to go to bed when Christina stands on the bench at the foot of our bed and starts tossing clothes in the air. I told her "Be careful, you don't want the clothes to get caught in the fan." She looks at me, smiles, then climbs up on the bed and starts tossing the clothes AT THE FAN!!!! I stopped her after about 5 minutes because she had gone into her room to get lighter weight clothes that she could toss higher! I sat her down on my knee and told her "You are not to do that because you could damage the fan and the I would have to replace it." She gave me a hug and said "I sorry Daddy". Just amazes me how her little brain works!

Matthew is really walking now... and announces his presence when we walks into a room. Kid has some major personality and with his looks... we are in serious trouble. My goal is to work with him and teach him how to use his personality and looks for good, and not to manipulate people in the wrong way. For a 16 month old he seems to have a very genuinely good heart.

And last and certainly not least... today is the 70th Anniversary of the greatest amphibious assault in man's history. Over 9,000 lives were lost during the D-Day invasion, lives that will never be forgotten. My uncle served as the cook on a destroyer in the Pacific during WWII. He passed away last October and I miss him every day. Rest In Peace Uncle Carl.
