Konbanwa and Ohayo Chuck,

I passed on this morning’s workout as I needed to get to work early.  The day flew by due to how busy I was at work; that is always nice.  I think I’m going to bed early again.

Lee – That’s great news about the job.  I hope your cat is okay.

Mike C. – That should be a fun race.

David Barker – I hope the procedure goes well and you recover quickly.

BOC – It’s good to see you posting again.  I hope all is well now.

Sayonara,

Joe

Good Morning from Blueberryhill........

Good Morning,  Joe........

It is a rainy and foggy 46 degrees. It is suppose to get colder and turn to snow by tonite.

Today is a busy day. I have a few errands to run this morning and the usual chores to do. A late lunch and nap will be nice.

Dining car has rolled in with Cheerios for breakfast.

Y'all have a great Wednesday.

Aloha. The forecast for a raging storm was fortunately overhyped. Only an inch or so at home and maybe 3-4 in the Loop. Still cold and messy. But hope it warms up soon which will take care of the mounds of snow. I am slowly getting used to the missing hour of sleep. I have a bit of Physical Therapy tomorrow morning. Banks, praying for your catherization. I am glad you are following through with it.  David Barker, prayers for your operation and recovery. Glad you let us know. JoeD, lots of coverage here on the earthquake anniversary. Lee, congrats on your new job.

Good Morning !

First off, WELCOME TO DAVID BARKER,  and prayers and best wishes for your upcoming procedure!!  Also hoping the best for Banks as well.

Not a whole lot going on today possibly get out to the train room for awhile.

Have Santa Ana winds coming in for the weekend, could get temps up to the 90's, (tired of this limited activity stuff, want to get outside and do stuff!)

Take care and stay healthy !!

Morning.  Been catching up on my DVR'd programs I missed while gone.  Partly cloudy and warm.  Showers due and then temps drop for a couple.

Off to do errands.  Painted pergola again yesterday afternoon.  Garden Club last night.  Crashed after that.

Barker, keep us informed.  Prayers.

Yanks, here it comes again.  Bet you all hate the word SNOW.

Later.

Thanks Joe! Cat is doing good and no problems. I went for fingerprinting earlier today and go in for paper work and NEO stuff in the morning, as I got the job for sure. Just have to see how the weather holds out today, a chance of severe thunderstorms for southern Florida this afternoon.

Good morning all,

David Barker, prayers for a successful surgery and welcome to the Forum. Suddenly, you have made my problems seem small after your news.

Had a minor catastrophe in the garage yesterday.  I hung up a new picture on a hook designed for dry wall.  Came back a couple of hours later and found the picture had fallen off the wall and landed on the layout.  Derailed a train and smashed a Bachmann signal bridge that spanned four tracks that I kit bashed.  I think I can fix it or make another one.  No damage to train and I'm surprised that the glass in the picture frame did not break.  Re hung the picture this morning on a new hook.

later,

Ray

Good Afternoon! 49 and the temps are dropping. Hopefully just rain!

All quiet here. School tonight then off to Mom's to spend the day with her and come home Friday morning.

Doug DG: Congrats and good luck with the new car.

Joe D: Enjoy the kids and the baseball league.

Lee: Congrats on the new job. Good luck with the cat.

Banks: Prayers for the health issue. Hope to see you and the Mrs. at York.

David Barker: Prayers for your up coming surgery and welcome to the Pot.

Barry: Good to see you again. Speedy Recovery.

Doug M: Good luck with the PT.

SP Man, Ray: Glad that you can take care of the signal bridge and that is all that happened.

Enjoy the Day!

Evenin' boys.  Evenin' English.  67 & dropping here in the Mid-Atlantic region.  S'posed to get down right nasty for a day and a half, then slowly bounce back.  Spent yesterday after work at the boat yard.  Discovered that the 5 amp fuse did let go on the bilge-o-matic thingie.  The cabin floor is still "wavy" in the really damp parts.  Sanded the whole bottom, and when I was done,  I looked like a one of those lawn ornaments...

Angel out to Barker, cnw1995, dbaker and Banks, as well as Mrs Hudson.  Hope Richie loses the crud.

Phillyreading - YesCool on the new job.

Anyone check on Brent to make sure he isn't lying under a new garage door somewhere?

Hope everyone else is doin' fine.

Stay foamy. Pirate

Afternoon/Evenin' All,

BOC, Glad to see you "Up-N-Runnin" again. I had a visit to urgent care Saturday before last for the same thing, fortunately no need to go to ER afterwards. Can always tell when I eat things from my "Forbidden List". Ashamed

DB, Angel for your upcoming hospitalization. Be back soon !

Banks, Don't go around showin everyone your stitches after your procedure. Smile, Wink & Grin Glad to see that you are being pro-active instead of ending up in ER.

Doug M, Will those stones end up as scenery on the layout ? Whistling

Joe, If you guys are going to be doing some tourist stuff before your pending transfer here's a couple of ideas.

Kinagawa Hot Springs, the Imperial Palace and if memory serves correctly the park adjacent to the Palace has all kinds of deer that will eat out of your hand. Can't forget the Bullet Train.

Lee, Good luck on the new job.

Rich, Hope you get over the crud real soon.

Hudson, We can't forget a speedy recovery to our favorite "Ice Cream Lady" !

Shucks, now I've forgotten what else I wanted to talk about. Bang Head

Good evening all,

Work was quiet today.  Played indoor soccer tonight.  That was fun.  No more for March due to spring break.  Cold today.  Will warm up this weekend.  I hope everyone gets over what ails them.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Interesting weather here lately. Yesterday was sunny and in the low 70's. Thunder storms blew through about 9:30 last night, and we woke up to about 1/2" of snow this morning. My wife got several seasons worth of Downtown Abby CD's. The show is set out in the country, and has nothing to do with a church - is anybody else confused by this??? All for now.

Wind and pouring rain for about one minute.  Then a nice shower.  Temps dropping to near freezing by morning.  Chilly tomorrow.  Cold tomorrow night but then warming again.  No wonder I can not get rid of this cold.

Well, not really.  We have watched it from the "get go".  We donate to Public Television [UNC TV].  Now the next series [based on a true story about an American starting a big department store in London] starts soon followed by another one [another famous department store and its owner].  Then Downtown comes back.  Master Piece Theater is the title for them.  We watch/DVR all of them.  All set in England.  Recommend them all.

Sleep tight.

Konbanwa and Ohayo Chuck,

I had plenty of sleep last night and I needed every bit of it.  The workday was extremely busy again and I am pretty beat.  The wife made dinner and went out to karaoke with some friends so the kids and I are hanging out for the rest of the night.  I’m sure I’ll be in bed early again tonight.

Doug M. – It was covered well out here too.  It’s hard to believe it’s been three years already.

dougdagrump – Thanks for the info.  We visited the palace and its surrounding grounds last year; it was impressive.  I definitely need to plan a bullet train trip before we leave.

Joe

Hello all

Back @ work collecting photons again.

Had some fun today w/ the car. Starter gave out while I was doing errands getting ready to come back to the hill. Gave me some fair warning over the weekend, but I was hoping to put it off until my next time off. Had the car towed over to my friend who has been 'boarding' the van for me. Flipped out the starter on it into the car. I have the original starter for the van in the storage unit and will have this one looked at when I have the alternator bearings in the van unit checked out.

Got the helium car today. Looks like it will be a good candidate for the Navy train. Will have to find myself some haze grey paint soon.

Banks - hope the cath proceedure goes well. I had one a few years back before they figured out my gall bladder was causing issues. Hope you don't have too many stairs:)

Nice and warm in the Ol' Pueblo today, must have been in the 80's. Some wind and a lot of dust in the air though on the drive back to work.

Working on an old Telechron clock tonight. Should give me something to look @ besides my phone in the living room/kitchen area. Kind of matches one of my old Zenith radios.

Hey Ray SPman, don't use the peel and press hangers as they have a nasty habit of falling off! Use the old drill a hole for a drywall plug or drill into a 2 by 4 and mount it with nail or screw. I go in at 5:30 in the morning on Friday and then have a week off for spring break.

I am still not sure how to use the forum on here at times!! Too many changes! Or is there a better browser to use to post things better? So far all I can do is just type words on here, can not add smiley faces or anything like that.

Evenin' All.

Chief, Did you see the size of that Boar that some guy bagged in N.E. N.C. Estimated at 500#'s. Chef

Joe, If you have the time the area around Kyoto is much prettier than the Tokyo area. Spent almost a week there chapperoning kids from the company I worked for as well as kids from the San Diego school districts.

Got my toys packed and ready to go tomorrow morning, hopefully there won't be any gremlins out-n-about. Hmm

Got a pork tenderloin going, bourbon and maple marinade, with garlic mashed taters. Had some fruit for lunch so I could splurge tonite. Dinner

They are talking 90's+ for the weekend. Sad

Later all !

Good evening all,

To use all the features of the forum, I have to use Firefox.  It works ok, but that is another browser I have to open.  Work went very well.  Paid some bills on my walk but did not go my usual route as every cell in my body was screaming at me.  There may be some benefit to exercise, but I do not see what it is sometimes.  Taking the day off tomorrow to take wife to eye doctor for checkup.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Konbanwa and Ohayo Chuck,

This was one busy workweek and I’m glad it is over.  Today, I completed quite a bit of paperwork and then I ran a teambuilding event for my office.  Another coworker and I organized an event that was like the Amazing Race but on a smaller scale.  The event only lasted about two hours but everyone had fun.  I’m looking forward to some relaxation tonight and the rest of this weekend.

Lee – Depending on the browser you use, the site can give you fits.  Some of us have started using Mozilla Firefox.

Dougdagrump – I’ve heard nice things about Kyoto as well; also heard it is more expensive than Tokyo which is incredible.  That would be one of the places I would take the bullet train to get to.

Sayonara,

Joe
