RockIsland52 My sincerest apologies to Sir James. These one run games are exciting but are wearing me out. Plus the wifey wants to know if all of my screaming at the TV screen, complete with expletives, is really necessary. :-) JACK.

Jack -- I think the screaming at the screen is absolutely therapeutic in this scenario and appropriate, the only two other options would screaming at her or kicking the dog. I believe you are making the correct and well thought out decision

So many roads, so little time.
Good morning from London England or is it Seattle???? Been cloudy and rainy for over a week. Tomorrow the sun will come out is the line we have heard for over a week. Gets extended each morning.
Farmers down east are jumping off their grain bins. Can't get in the fields. That was the same this summer with 6 to 8 inches of rain a week. Tobacco corps were ruined. Corn got by some during two weeks of dry. Now the cotton and peanuts. Soon milo and soybeans. Wheat needs planting. Those who did get wheat planted are now afraid it is up too soon and will get winter damage. Unbelievable. Still better than a hurricane.
Off to get some miles in before leaving to baby sit Oldest animals.
Have a good one.

Apology accepted. It appears the Tiger hitters forgot to show up for work last night. We can't blame the pitcher for having a one run game....

Aloha from a grey and cold northeastern Illinois. Nothing much going on at work except prepping for a visit from a big-wig next week. Doc visit later today. What games are you talking about? It must be the sport of Pre-Football, right?

No joy in Mudville last night (L.A.). Dodgers have dug themselves a deeper hole. They might win one more game if their lucky but I'm not holding my breath on this one.
Cal Stewart train meet is fast approching. Actually next month but it comes around fast. Don't know if I'm going or not yet. Also Dixieland Jazz Festival in San Diego Thanksgiving weekend. Would like to go but don't know about our health yet.
Don is right! Seems like Chief does have a lot of hiding places lately.
Had a good breakfast. Home fries and eggs, left over sweet potato warmed up, two small waffles and a glass of non fat milk. Probably have salad for lunch. No cooking tonight as son is going to a Hockey game from work so we will skip big meal and just have something simple or get take out.
Saw pretty good movie on TV last night. "The American President" with Michael Douglas. Not bad.

Good evening all,
Early post. Figured out why dog was chewing on boxes. She chewed on stuff when we first got her, and she chewed on stuff just before she left us. Maryellen had to put her down today. Sad day. Was with us 14 years. Same number as AJ's team. Sort of appropriate.

Konnichiwa,
The weather was great today. You sure couldn't tell a typhoon passed through the day before. Apparently, Tokyo was hit hard: 17 people died and over 50 are missing. According to the news, it was the strongest typhoon to hit this area of Japan since 2004. I watched both baseball games while at work and was very pleased with both outcomes. It's about time the Tigers scored some runs.
Mike C. - I'm sorry for your loss.
Sayonara,
Joe
Good Morning from Blueberryhill.............
It is a rainy 64 degrees. Going up to 68 today with more rain.
Busy day. Errands to run and chores to do. Lunch and a nap, later.
Dining car had Cheerios for breakfast.
Mike C. Sorry for your loss.
Y'all have a great Thursday.
Chuck
Morning. Passing through while living in London or Seattle. Rain extended another day. Had to come back to Town Hall and also do a another routine blood draw.
Mike C., really sorry for your loss.
Later
Afternoon FellasMike - sorry to hear about your dog. Never easy when that happens. This is one of those days where I feel like someone wrote me into an episode of The Twilight Zone... no words to describe how odd it has been.TheQ is home safe from her trip to Vegas... she left Tuesday night and got home before the sun rose this morning. Last night she called from the airport and Christina's first words to her were "Mommy when you coming home? I miss you SOOOOOOO much". TheQ will be leaving on Sunday and returning on Wednesday starting this weekend... wonder how Christina is going to react to that. She went to bed super early on Tuesday and last night she stayed up till @ 8:50 so she could watch the Toy Story Halloween special and talk to mommy...

Hello all,
This is a quick stop in as I get ready to head to YORK. With luck tomorrow at this time I'll be heading to the CTT Booth for a group photo.
Mike C....I feel for ya...
Bean and corn harvest has been halted by rain and damp weather. Every time the moisture content gets near to acceptable levels it rains again. Just enough to prevent harvest. We do need the rain as we are considerably behind for the year.
Off I go
Prayers for those in need

Quiet Day around here. Nothing to discuss.
Good afternoon all, about 3:00PM here. All you Easties must be getting ready for dinner now.
Well, the Dodgers prolonged the series for at least one more game back in St. Louis. Watched game 5 onTV yesterday. They had it 6-2 going into the late innings and almost lost it in the 9tth giving back two more runs for a final of 6-4.
Mike C. sorry to hear about your loss.
Listening to playback of my copied Firehouse 5 CD as I scan the forum. Son was able to make me copies of both CD's in the set. The band always reminds me of Ward Kimball naturally who was such a genius, merry maker, train collector, Disney animator, proud owner/operator of the Grizzly Flats Railroad, Trombone player and leader of the Firehouse Five plus Two Dixieland Jazz Band and all around good guy. We won't see the likes of him again.
Cool nights lately but it heats up in the afternoon every day. Slept late today so I have been late doing everything. Probably too hot now in the train room/garage but I'll check it out. Been running a lot of my coventional stuff lately. Trouble free and fun to run without worrying about frying a board.
Thank you all for the thoughts. The "saucy wench" really appreciated all the comments as it was "her" dog. Quiet day at work. Taking a rare day off tomorrow as the case reports are non-existent and I am caught up on all the miscellaneous work as well. Thanks again for all your support.
Just got in from the road. The road took me to Berea, Ohio, Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Akron for meetings. In Pittsburgh I saw a hundred brand new tank cars in the NS yard downriver.
Mike C. - Sorry to hear about your family's loss. You certainly get attached to them.
Tomorrow I head to Louisville for weekend meetings. Next week is the big engineering transportation conference in Cbus. There will be 2400 attendees. I will only know about half.

Konbanwa,
I had a great five-mile run this morning before beginning the workday. The other highlight of today was the family and I taking part in a commercial for a Japanese lawn equipment company. We were in the background having a barbeque while our church pastor was running the equipment. I have no idea where and when the commercial will air, but it should make it to the States since this company sells its equipment in Home Depot. After work, I had to run the skills assessments for the upcoming flag football season. I'm coaching again and hoping to have as much fun as I had last season.
Have fun at York for all those attending.
Good Morning from Blueberryhill..........
Good Morning to Joe in Japan........
It is a cold and damp 43 degrees. Going up to 70 today with sunshine.
Today is the wife and my 33rd. Anniversary. We will stay home and relax. A nice supper is planned.
Breakfast is Cheerios on the dining car.
Buckeye & LAZ.......... TGIF
Y'all have a great Friday.
Good Morning!
Joe, that is cool about the commercial, what is the brand of the lawnmower? The coaching sounds like it would be fun, how old are the kids?
Chuck, Happy Anniversary to you and Mrs. That is uncanny, our anniversary is on Sunday, will be 34 yrs. Time really goes by quickly.
Update on recovery, hand/wrist does NOT like the walker at all. So suspended use, staying with the wheel chair only. Three more weeks and hopefully the leg cast will change and be able to put some weight on it, then will readdress the walker situation. Sure will be glad when this is over, working on exercises to try and minimize strength loss.
Aloha. Grey and cold. Winter is coming! 33 is quite a milestone, congratulations to you and your wife, Chuck! Joe, I will be looking forward to that commercial. Ran Ivor yesterday - it rained all day; great for model railroading. Caught the TARDIS too. Today seems quiet so far. We'll see...
Chuck and Don, happy anniversary to both of you
Just got my new copy of the other magazine. Saw where Lou Caponi of Loco Louie's has passed away as of July 31st. He was a nice man and credit to the hobby. Sorry to hear and send condolences to his family.
Dodgers get one more chance to stay in the playoffs tonight against St. Louis.
Don, sorry you're still having trouble with the walker.
My train buddies are all gone for the next couple of weeks on trips etc.
Evenin' boys. A bit of a trunkated weekend, as have to work Komen race Sunday morning. Also, youngest Princess having her sweet 13 party tomorrow.
cheapclassics - Condolences on the loved one.
Demay - Glad you made it back safely.
It didn't occur to me until I got off work this afternoon that YORK was in session.
A bad day at YORK is better than a good day at work...
Don B (Bake n' shake):
Got your email on the other Coffee Pot. My computer had a new hard drive installed so I lost all the Bookmarks including that Coffee Pot, and I couldn't find it on Google. What is the URL?
The weather looks good for York, maybe a little chilly.

Hello to all on the Pot,
It has been a long while since I posted. Spent yesterday and today at York. Two enjoyable days. Didn't purchase much but had a good time any way.

Hey!
Mike sorry about the puppy.
Flight is booked, car is paid for, room is ready and tickets to Halloween Horror Nights purchased. 1 week from today I'll see my princess, Super excited.
Those going to York have a fun time.....next April, I SHOULD BE there.
Weather here is windy. At least it's sunny and not COLD!!!
Off work soon, going visiting then work early tomorrow.
See ya soon!!
Mitchie!!!! - Where in the Wide Wide World of Sports have you been? Were you leading the coalition of western counties to ceseed from Maryland?
Quiet day at home. New tires for van and had tires on PT rotated. Moved furniture back after carpet cleaning. Sato crashed in practice and will start in back for last Indy car race of the season.
MikeC.....I am sorry you lost your pup. Chuck........happy anniversary, and wishes for many more. Rich.....it sounds like you are primed for a wonderful trip South. Don.....sorry to read that the walker has been problematic, but maybe that will change given some more time.
Well, the wifey and I have had our hands full with new puppy, Raven. Y'all know how that goes. Puppies are chewing, peeing, pooping machines. More work than a newborn. Her training is coming along nicely considering her young puppy brain. The best I can compare it to is having a pirahnna with memory issues.
Later gang. I am hoping the Red Sox can put away SJ's Tigers tomorrow night but the way this war is going it could go seven games and is a toss up.
