Good evening all,
It is another warm day in SE Indiana. Daughter stayed much longer than expected after picking up grandson. She did bring three small cedars for me to plant in the "zone of death" where I have not been able to get any trees to grow except for one small cedar that I planted when it was about 2 inches high. Took grandson around town this morning doing "Man" chores, getting parts for mowers and getting blade sharpened. Took him to one of the local trails and the playground next to it. He had a blast. We took him to see "The Lorax". He liked it and we did too. It was a little overdone on the big bad business theme, but still a good movie. Hopefully will get some more stuff done tomorrow. I had cereal and some donuts this morning for breakfast. TBIL. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Time for me to call it a night. I got all but sixteen freight cars put away today. I'll be using them on the layout. My F2A/F3B/F3B set needs something to pull. Of the locos that were out I put away the Rivarossi/Athearn U25C Frankenstein, the Atlas FP7A/FP7A set, the old Bachmann 0-6-0 and the Walthers GP9m/GP9m Frankenloco set. The aforementioned F unit set is the active power on the layout and I placed a Bachmann GP40 dummy in the north engine house. I guess tomorrow I'll wipe the track down and run a train for a while. It's gonna hurt a bit but it beats sitting here watching my fingernails grow. See y'all tomorrow. If you don't I may be tied up on the track someplace!

Good evening everyone. Quick stop over before heading to bed. Took the family to an arena football game. It was a lot of fun for all of us. I had surprised the kids as I knew if they had known ahead of time, they would have convinced themselves that they were not going to enjoy it before we ever left the driveway. Even our daughter wants to go back.
Topped the night off with a trip through the drive through ice cream place. One of those great family days. Tomorrow, our church is heading up to the sports park after morning services. Median adults are responsible for the meats. We will bring Zaxby's chicken, but I am really looking forward to some fresh BBQ as one of my friends killed a hog on the plantation.
Brent, happy birthday sir! Also, happy St. Pat's day. Being mostly Irish, I used to celebrate in a big way, but now I suffer too much afterwards. Now I hardly do at all. We have some infamous characters in our family's tree that probably should remain anonymous. My mother used to teach us some sayings 'in the Irish', but it has been a long time.
Take care and good night.
Dennis

Been absent, now just catching up -
Princess was wounded on the job last Friday, took shrapnel to the right eye lid and hand. She was stitched up and doing ok. Got the stitches out today, she was a bit down, went for frozen yogurt in Princeton (yes, of University fame) then Chicken Teryiaki for being good with the stitch removal. She is on Spring Break and so I don't have a lot of running around to do this week. And will save me some fuel costs. Regular is at $3.499/gallon
Dad has a marrow check and found more cancer cells than white cells. Docs are doing treatment to move the cells out and move more white cells in. New drugs and more chemo......prognosis is good so far.
Been working and doing FD stuff...no train stuff as of yet, just trying to keep my head above water as it were...

Blownout - I recognize that AMC Hornet as that picture was from Englishtown, NJ. I believe is was from the SummerNationals. And of course that Drive In picture is from Camden, NJ where Dennis has correctly stated that the USS New Jersey the most decorated war ship in American History is docked. And that's only because if Philadelphia starts something, we can finish it....FAST!!!
- for youse guys sick and ailing....
Weather here has been outstanding - just need some Harley time and SOON!! Maybe work on the roadrunner as well.
Happy Sunday!! Hope to be back on line tomorrow!

Evening all!
Getting ready to call it a day.
Spent all afternoon repairing my two attic exhaust fans. Both seized up. Luckily Lowes carries replacement motors. Jpb required either being on roof or working from below so it took a lot of back and forth, but I got-'er-done.
The missus and I went for Thai food and found a new place a few miles from her. It was very good so we will add that restaurant to the list.
The brand new A/C broke the first time we tried to turn it on yesterday since it was pretty warm. Installed in Dec. For some reason a fitting worked loose and it lost all the refrigerant.Took the tech 4 hours to straigthen it all out. No charge - in warranty.
Brent -
Hope everyone had a great St Pats Day!
LAZ - how many days left???
75 today and nice breeze. Tried to rain but nothing happened.
Regards, Roy
Fatcat was busy.
Mix of sun and clouds today with a high in the low 80's.
Late night at work on Friday, and in again for a good part of Saturday. Got a jump on next week's stuff though.
My wife picked up her Tosheba tablet today. We can't get it hooked up to our wireless network at home. Says it is watiing for an IP address.
Also picked upa chase that my wife got this afternoon. Had to re-arrange the bedroom furnature to make it fit. The general arrange is back to where it was about 6 weeks ago .
Trying to stay up to watch the Australian F1 race tonight.
All for now.
Konnichiwa,
We just returned from church and lunch. The church service was great and today we officially joined this church with two other families. We had Chili’s for lunch and will spend the rest of the day relaxing. It is raining now and will probably rain most of the day. I believe a nap may be in order but I’ll see if the older kids want to play any games first.
Rich – I hope your princess is feeling better. I’ll pray for your father.
Brent – Happy Birthday!
Dennis – Thanks for the information. I presumed the alternative was worse, and I’m glad they caught it soon enough. I’ll keep praying for her and her family.
Chief – It looks like the Fat Cat was a hit; thanks for serving your community. I’m not as enthused about the tournament now that Duke lost.
Sayonara,
Joe
Morning all. not a lot going on at work getting ready to start the day.

Weellll...did I get a shock yesterday....a friend of mine almost passed away from a heart attack. We had just finished a deck for his backyard and he was just going into the house when he collapsed right at the threshold of his house..I ended up giving him CPR and had his wife phone 911 for an ambulance...they came and got him to the hospital where he is resting in ICU at the moment...I just phoned up the attending nurse and she told me he is doing OK at the moment...I'll be up there later today...

Mornin' boys. Mornin' English. Foggy start in the Mid-Atlantic region. First day back at work yesterday. Felt good. Belt still fits! Took oldest boy down to yatchet, and bottom was sanded and hull waxed. If the weather stays nice, we'll paint on the antifoul and splash down before the 1st.

I'm fairly certain that the police woman who chased me out of Roseyville is on the left with the Jones Boy disguised as the Leprechaun. Obviously, this is one of Roseyville's undercover operations.

Chief: The Fat Cat head ...IIRC there were heads made that had small fans operated by batteries in them as well...did that have anything like that in it?
Good morning. It's 69° and cloudy with a 20% chance of showers. The high will be 82°. Wind south at 10 to 15 mph.Well the plan for today is to wipe down the track and run some trains providing Murphy or my father don't have plans I don't know about.Cleaned my a/c filter yesterday. Boy did it need it! My nephew wonders why I use a fiberglass filter in a window unit. Why not just use the filter that came with it? Well, to be honest, the cheap little thin filter that comes with those units is a piece of crap. It lets through more dirt than it catches. So I buy a pack of large fiberglass filters. I cut out a piece that will completely cover the cheap filter and place it over the aforementioned cheap filter. When I showed it to my nephew yesterday he could plainly see that the dirt was only on the front of the fiberglass mesh. The cheap filter and the fins were clean as a whistle. Guess who's going to Lowe's to get a pack of filters to use in HIS window a/c unit.
Konbanwa,
We had a very nice Sunday. My wife and I capped it off by going out for dinner by ourselves. It’s nice to have a babysitter who lives across the street and is usually always available. We went to a Tex-Mex place off base. It was very good and I’m sure we will go back. We’re just winding down the night here and I should be in bed soon.
Blownout Cylinder – I’ll pray your friend recovers well. I’m glad you were there to help him.
That is a great photo Chuck.
Dennis – An update to the message I sent you a few minutes ago: The first paper will arrive Tuesday morning via local paper courier.
HI GUYZ,
50 here to get to 70. Went to GUN SHOW in Harrisburg, nice show about 1000 tables set up and then there was the re enactors there to with WW2 and Vietnan stuff there pretty neat. Talked to guy with WWII Harley I think it was a 43? Neat bike he said a pain to keep runnning at stop light because of the clutch and manual shifting and keeping gas engaged other then that a real nice bike. GUYZ from the NAM era gave up a demo on the MA DUCE showing how to charge it and how the .50 cal MG works that was also cool stuff. Didn't buy anything but had fun the went out with the gang (7 of us ) for wings bolis and beers. Great nite!
BRENT, hope you get something with flanged wheels. Enjoy your day!!!

Chief nice pictures, small town living, you can stand right in the middle of Main St and have your pitcher took. In most towns that would be a sidewalk I have no idea what granny might have planned for the day so I'll just go with the flow. Still trying to finish the last OGR before something else arrives. Nice chat with a few of the guys last night...S.J.

V8,
We had about a 20 minute wait yesterday but it was due to the volumn of people. Lots and lots of lookers, not to many buyers.
Aloha. 75 already and sunny. Hope you get this weather at points east. Successful surprise party for my MiL last night. The bride is tired but happy. Of course, I got roped into shuttling folks back to the airport later. Good show Blownout! - prayers for your buddy's recovery. Happy Sabbath...

Happy Sunday everyone! Been real busy at work. Not much posting lately but trying to catch up with the reading of all the posts.
On the train front I scored a nice AF 283 steamer and it's a beaut! Workwise, I might be in line for a promotion, only thing it WILL come down to politics. I do have the support from all in the office so maybe that helps.
Not enough talk here about March Madness! But for those that have been watching I'm sure you'll agree it's been alot of close games and more than a few upsets.
Chief - I know it's my fault for not reading the posts every day but I try and catch up every other day. It sure would be alot easier catching up if you limit everyone to just 1 post every day!
Blownout - Good thing you were there to help your friend out. He is very lucky to have you as one.
Banks - Sorry to hear about the loss of you pal, and pets are pals. As a person who has always had a pet, and sometimes more than one at a time, it sure hurts loosing one.
Kevin - Good luck getting back into the swing of things at work. Hope it doesn't last too long.
Brent - and many more!
Rich - Good luck with your dad's treatments. As for your daughter, that must have been scary for you and her, hope she mends fast without much discomfort.
HudsonJohn - Thanks for the invite to york. I would have loved to have gone but just too much going on right now.
JoeD - Anything on the NCAA? Is there any interest over there?
Hope I didn't miss anyone,

Morning. Cloudy and rainy [well maybe a shower but damp].
Sad news for family in Rolesville. The young guy that gave me so much trouble at the pond [trail camera misssing, stand torn up, signs destroyed, trees cut down for golf cart path, deer feeder timer missing and so on] until I gave him a key to the cables [which he never used but stopped his mischief], was killed in a motorcycle accident early this AM.
Resting today as busy day tomorrow. Good morning all,
Rain has ended for the most part followed by cold air. Snow level is low on the mountain but can't see it yet because of cloud cover. Sump pumps worked well yesterday and no problems to report.
Got a discouraging report yesterday about a marriage break up of one of my nephews and his wife. Sorry to hear that. Will pray for them.
Not much planned for today except chuch and a bake sale afterward. Wife making something to take.
Roy, the rain should be heading your way after leaving us.

This morning I found that I'd neglected to convert a Tyco 40' Hi-cube boxcar to body mounted Kadee's. Twenty minutes later it was converted an dis now ready for service.

Later, gang.
