Aloha all. TGIF. Great Googly-Moogly! it was 37 this am. Brrrrrrrrrrr. Supposed to warm up over the weekend though I'll believe it when it happens. I think 'm the only one working in the city of Chicago so sure to get a lot done. Brutus, that's too bad about your weekend plans.  Mike C, glad you're OK. What do you not like about Team Red? No plans for us this weekend. No $ either. There's a relationship between the two. LOL.

I think I'm closing in on an o gauge kit for Ivor the Engine from a now-defunct UK company.

Amazing what some phone cable and some electrician's tape can do.  Fully operational for now.  It does not look pretty and it will not last very long, but it is functional.

Mike - sounds permanent to me...Whistling

A nice day here - 90's and sunny - humidity building - weekend predicted to be hot and humid and extremely windy - now 20 mph. Big low pressure area passing to north of us (something to do with Ohio???) and causing steady winds from south. May not be any decent boating this weekend.

Mike C - good to hear all is well and repairable.

Dennis - hope your wife gets over the stomach thing quickly.

John - Every time I get up into the NJ and NYC area - I can understand all the powerboating associations up there. Boating the Hudson on a calm day looks like good fun.

Have a great day all!

Good morning all,

It is cooler in SE Indiana, but dry maybe for awhile.  Getting all the repair items lined up. Going to work today, but I may be the only one in my department, which is ok as well.  Could use the peace and quiet.  So glad to have internet and phone working again.  TBIL and I can drive.  Just have to clear a spot in the yard for the Tardis to land.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike - glad you guys are okay and also that you have internet access again!

Just overcast and rained all day today - no severe weather for a change.  Got home and my wife was sick to her stomach.  She has settled down now, but she had me call her folks and tell them we are not coming to visit this weekend.  We don't want to be 500 miles from her specialist if she is sick sick again Sad  But, she seems to have settled down now, so hope it was just something she ate?

Kids are upset as we won't get to see Mammaw and Pappaw this weekend, but hopefully we will make it there soon.

TARDIS is ready - hit it SJ!

Good afternoon all,

IIABSDISEI with rain off and on.  Long story short.  Bad storm came thru Hoosierland yesterday.  Although house received cosmetic damage for the most part,  two huge trees came down.  One wiped out the phone line.  I stayed home today to coordinate repair and insurance issues at our place.  Only internet I have is at work and local library for now.  Race day weather is supposed to be good.  Will be rooting for AJ's team, SFR, Swiss Miss, Bia and Pippa.  Will NOT be rooting for Team Red (Penske and Ganassi) or for the Princess either.  Might even pull for Sam Schmidt Motorsports as well and John Andretti.  Wish us luck with our recovery efforts.  Take care all and I will post when the opportunity arises.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Aloha. Grey, rain-flecked and only... what? 46!!! Well, it's supposed to be 90s on Monday so go figure. Busy day 'homeworking' - I'm sure i'll be the only one working in Chicago tomorrow too.  Jack and Dennis, we've done different things with different kids here - private school, public school, and home-school. We'll be going back to the latter for our youngest next year. Nothing wrong with the schools, just like the flexibility of 'one-on-one' tutoring and my bride is very good at it. Those social 'workings'-out' you mentioned, Jack, are experienced in other group or peer settings. It all seems to work. Big Smile

Lunch Time,

Beautiful day here in Central Jersey. Going into the 80's with a bit of wind.

Roy, Do not feel bad, I did not uncover the boats yet. I did charge the batteries for the 18' and ready the trailer. Saturday is get it ready day. I know all about wind in the 10 to 20 mi range. the bay when it blows we get a good chop and the inlet, forget about it. The 26' is another story. That is one sea worthy boat.

Everyone have a great day,

John

Morning all!

Sunny here and maybe 90. Front came through and humidity is nice and low!

The rollup door where I store the boat jammed yesterday. With help from the storage facility manager we got the boat out and got the door closed. I meet the repair folks there at noon. Winds here for the weekend will be 10-20 mph - may not get much boating in...Grumpy...most lakes here have no natural windbreaks so it gets really choppy with 10-15 mph winds.

Still tired from all the travel machinations Tuesday.  Looking forward to the long weekend.

Busy day today. Have a great day all!

Regards, Roy

Good morning all,

It is sunny and today's high is 76.  There are no storms forecasted until next week.  I hope the storms go away since I will be making a trip to PA next week and the wife and kids cannot go with me this time.  I have a fair amount of tasks to finish at work today.  This evening is our daughter's ballet and jazz recital.

Dennis - Enid has some crazy weather besides the tornadoes so I don't blame you for passing up on a job out here.  We didn't have a choice since the Air Force owns me, but we believe God wanted us here anyway.

Chuck - Jack's Sox sure beat up on your Indians last night.  The Yankees won and maintained their spot on top of the AL East; however, it's only a half-game lead.

Good day,

Joe

Good Morning Guys!

Cloudy and 65 here at Exit 8, going up to 80 with sun later.

Thursday is drill night and being this close to Memorial Day, I think we'll be working on the trucks for the 2 parades on Monday.

Well, time to make lunch and head out to work.

Have a good day, all!
