NEW POT IS READY.

8ntruck

Planted the tomatoes, peppers, squash, and more herbs.

Planted 20 more tomato plants, several squash and peppers today.  8N, great job getting your garden started up in Yankeeland.

Woke up to a suprise this morning.  A Cadilac grew in the driveway overnight!  An older Cateria with no plates and a temporary tag dated 4-31-11.  Called the police, who ran the VIN and discovered that it was not stolen.  They called the owner, and a bit later a guy showed up and drove it off, mumbling something about his sister wanting it dropped off here.

Tell your "lady friends" to stop leaving their cars in your driveway.   Surprise Whistling

All for now.

Sunny and 70's today.

Got the tiller running well enough to get the work done I needed to do.  Acts like it is running lean, but there is no mixture adjustment screw on this carb!  Probably need to take it apart again and do some more cleaning.  The inside of the carb was pretty well varnished up.  I'll expect that the main jet is too.

Planted the tomatoes, peppers, squash, and more herbs.

PHISH!!! GREAT NEWS - Thank GOD!

Had a quiet day for the most part.  Went to lunch with the family and then went to Best Buy and got a UPS power supply for the network as the old one finally died.  Later I ran to Lowes and got some stuff like mole repellent for the yard, using a $10 off coupon I got in the mail.  Had some pizza together along with my son's friend, who was visiting.  Now I'm chatting with the guys and wife is watching The Wedding on dvr (yawn)

TARDIS is ready and we have banilla and cookies as well as some cake.  Let's go!

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

Good evening everyone.  I am going to try this......AGAINGrumpy We changed to IE9 and have not been able to post since.  Joe, got your message.  I doubt I will be able to make it as it is a 5 hour drive.  Wife has plans for me for the next few days and I am on call starting Monday.  If I do get the chance, I will give you a call.

Pat, regarding diets, if you have any health issues, like diabetes, etc., you should consult with your doctor as some, like Atkins, can put the body into a state of ketoacidosis.  Just need to know what you are doing.  Speaking of your doctor, I like to have a internal medicine guy as my main physician as they tend to be more aggressive in the whole body treatment.  Of course, it is a individual thing, you can have a family practice physician who is very experienced in identifying issues and referrals to the next level of care, but I have had more success with internal med guys.

Time for bed.  Hope everyone has had a blessed week and may God Bless this week ahead.

Good evening all,

IIABSDISEI with temps eventually over 70.  Reffed four soccer games today.  Went over to work in dad's yard and then did some mowing in our own yard.  Tired.  Swiss Miss and Vitor start side by side in row 7 at Brazil tomorrow in Indy car.  Will Power (who else) is on pole.  Possible deal on house hit major snag.  Long story.  Regular fare on dining car.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Good Saturday evening!

Prayers for our Southern brethren and the recovery efforts.

Beautiful day here in central Jersey...prowled around Jackson and Lakewood..I didn't see Jon or Ray around though...Smile, Wink & Grin

Found Jackson Hobby Shop and stopped in.  Had a nice talk with the owners wife.  I'll be stopping back there sometime soon.

Worked until midnight last night, made some hours up...first half of the week was bad work wise.

Gonna run out real quick and grab a bite, had a late lunch so I'm off schedule a bit.

Angel for our intentions.

Will check back later!

Mornin' fellas and gals:    Heartfelt prayers for those people that lost loved ones in the devastating weather down south.  So sad. Gives us pause as to our true nature of what really counts; faith hope and charity.  I'm preaching a day early, hope the Bible thumpers don't steal my message for Sundays sermon!    Laugh   later.

Good morning all,

I had a good night's sleep in the hotel room's king size bed.  Also contributing to the solid night of sleep was not waking up to tend to the 9-month-old baby.  My wife will need a vacation when I return home in about 13 days.  It is much warmer here in SE GA than in NW OK.  It is also much more humid.  We have some work planned for today and I am not sure what time we will finish.  If we finish early, I may drive to Folkston today; it is about an hour away.

AF53 Ray - I forgot to thank you for going to that Yankees game the other night.

Jim SP - That's great news about the house - God takes care of His people.

Good day,

Joe

Morning all,

Been a busy week again.  Did get caught up at work from taking Holy Week off.

Good news, Thanks be to God!  I believe we have the other house sold, and yesterday we sold the truck camper!  What a relief.

Kids have a baseball parade today and it is to be dry.  That would be great.  IT has rained so much it is crazy.  Can’t complain too much when you see what happened down South.

Picked up a 32 Iver Johnson hammerless handgun for CC.  Older gun but nice.  Any of you have experience with Iver Johnson’s?

Jim – Good luck with the interview

Prayers for all

May God bless

Jim

Morning all. Busy day yesterday.  Mowed and worked at pond until granite counter top gang arrived.  Now awaiting for plumber to come today to redo the drains for the 60/40 double sink and new facuet sets in the kitchen and bath.  Still have to go upstairs to pee and shower. Angry  Contractor has not grounted the bath floor.  Almost finished the walls around the tub for a custom shower look.  Will paint this weekend.

A little breezy tonight, but we are open for business and collecting photons. Boy, did I open up a hornet's nest w/ work this week.  Some tense moments on the phone w/ the director tonight. So much for trying to do the right thing. Lesson learned: never try to save the government money, it just doesn't work out.

Checked out the link for the MTH Reading T1. Impressive. Even more impressive was the video of an MTH Virginian Triplex I found. Now that's a lot of locomotive.

Think I'll go read about trains and get my mind off of this crap at work. It's always important to remember what's really importantWink

Okay - checked and I'm in compatability mode.  Good luck on the interview, Probe.  One of these days, hopefully this time!!!

Charlie, sounds like a fun trip, be careful not to TRIP any breakers!  220 will sting a little Laugh

I find that I can lose weight if I am exercising, but in the winter I put it back on usually.  Need to get into a better cycle as it's getting harder to deal with as I get older.

Think I need a new lawnmower now - will have to look at what is out there.  I have usually gone with the cheapest self-propelled I can get due to my back yard, which is a big hill going down into crappy trees and sticker bushes that are not on my property.  Maybe I can put it off a year, but we'll see.

I had a really crappy week at work.  I won't bore you guys with details, but I'm glad that one is over.

TARDIS is ready and I'm not legal to drive right now (I 'spect, as Pogo would say), so let's hit the road with RT driving Smile

sir james I

I am hosting a train meet here in a couple weeks

Don't over do it SJ.  Nobody is going to look under your layout :)

Just pulled into the cabin a little while ago.  Deer all over the road tonight on the way up.  Thought for sure I was going to smack one.

Had a visit earlier tonight with our friend Kurt (kpolak).  He is doing well and off to Disney with the kids next week.

Weekend agenda includes having to run a 220 circuit for a friend in the morning.  He is having a new well drilled next friday and needs the power run for the pump.  Hope to also find some time to do some plinking at a target or two.

Have a nice weekend guys!

Nice day today.  Sunny and 70's.

Nice enough that I spent the evening out on the deck, rebuilding the carb. on the roto tiller.  Got everything back together about dusk.  Pulled the rope, tiller started, but not quite right.  It wants partial choke and wide open throttle to run evenly.  Anything else results in a searching idle.  Think I'll pull the fan shroud off next and check the govener (sp?).  Tinker with it some more tomorrow.

If Tuesday was Mopar day (4/26), then Wednesday was Chevy day (4/27), and Thursday and Friday are Ford days (4/28 & 4/29).

Put some items in the 2011 signature catalog on order at the LHS a few days back.  They will show up when they show up.

All for now..

Rich,

          Happy B-Day

RT,

Two in a row that work.Hmm  Maybe I should play the lottery.

The 155 Ringing Signal arrived today.  Very clean with an equally nice box and 145C.Thumbs Up  All original right down to the driving washer.Thumbs Up  The best part is that it worked right out of the box Surprise , which is highly unusual from this seller.  I'll have to get a photo and short clip.

I also have an interview set up for 9AM next Thursday.  Hopefully this is it. Starts at $15-18/hr.  The only thing that would take getting used to is the 6AM-6PM rotating shift and 24/7/365 operarion.  If that is what it takes though, I am all over it.

I ran some trains today while trying to prepare for the train group that's coming. Of course everything works good till company comes. Banilla is ready, I had mine, we ate early, so banilla at 7 pm was just right...S.J.

Good evening all,

I arrived to Brunswick, GA, earlier this evening.  The flights went well and I had no problems driving up from the airport in Jacksonville, FL.  I just returned to the hotel from having a nice steak and beer.  I am pretty tired so I will hopefully post more tomorrow.

Good night,

Buckeye, we'll cut out the Pat and Ray cooking show when you cut your birthdays to less than 5 per month.

Went to orthopaedic doc today and they think I have torn cartiledge in my left knee.  MRI scheduled for next week.

Had Thursday night bull session at layout last night but did not turn a wheel on the trains.  Train meet this Sunday at TTOS but haven't decided if I will go yet.

All quiet on the Eastern front with collie dogs and 27 foot Queen Mary next door.

Internet slow today because of all the hoop la about the royal wedding I guess.

Later,
