Good Evening From the Jersey Shore,
Did a bit of a change in plans today. My wife mentioned about a small train show in Brick today. Yes my son, Ray and myself went there instead of the recycling center. I did clear the leaves and prep the rest of the flower beds and garden when I returned.
Laz, I should introduce Minnie to our Lab/Pointer Mack. He is a friendly outgoing dog who loves to play and gets along with other dogs.
Time to turn in, Long Day Tomorrow.
John
Howdy guys - nice chat with SJ and Charlie tonight. Solved some minor problems and talked about bbq sauce. What's a good commercial/available mustard based sauce? Our local restaurants all offer their own mustard based, but want to get some for the house? Or a good recipe
Just took it easy today. Did some laundry, made a nice breakfast, played some video games, talked with some friends, went out to dinner with some friends and talked for hours (lucky the manager didn't kick us out!), and then a nice train chat. We watched the movie RED again, which is a good one
TARDIS is ready and we have some toppings for the banilla tonight, as well as assorted cookies. Let's go!
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.
Good evening all,
This will be a quick note since we ended up spending the night in Broken Arrow last night helping my wife's parents unload the trucks and unpack their stuff. We got a few hours ago but we are all exhausted. I'll have more energy tomorrow.
Good night,
Joe

Did you go by Bass Pro Shops? Did their grand opening several years ago. Windy and cold the whole time I was in Broken Arrow.
Yankee Cold tonight. Wifey wrapped up some flowers. Suppose to warm up Tuesday.
Off to bed. Leaving for lake house tomorrow around noon. Got ribbon cutting at new florest at 11.
Sleep tight.

Hey Guys,
Getting a little concerned about York! It just a matter of a couple of weeks and suppose to be leaving here. (Two weeks from Tuesday!) The issue is the weather, listening to you folks talking about snow, and cold stuff !! We are already in full participation of Spring activities;
So the dilema becomes; If I continue with the plans of going to York, and the weather DOES NOT change, I will either have to:
- Buy some winter type heavy clothes, (which are extremely difficult to find here), and as a result the "Train Budget" is seriously damaged.
- OR, forego this trip to the national Tundra region, and consider a Fall possibility.
Beyond that, have been working on Control Panel for the layout I have been working on. The CP has 19 Ross Switch buttons, 15 toggle switches, 20 LEDs, and 3 push button switches. A BUNCH of wiring! Now to install it to the layout, that will probably take 2 days minimum, and hopefully a minimal amount of time troubleshooting. (Did test the CP, everything working well, all switches, leds, and buttons functioning fine.)
Hope everyone has a great day! I'll be watching the weather forecasts.
Don
Morning all. Just a quick stop over before heading in. Had a great day yesterday at church. We are in a season of prayer for the next few weeks as we want to do His will with the direction of the church. It is all good. A father/son team went to Rio Brazil to do missions. Really a wonderful thing as this same father was discussing issues that he had with this same son a few years ago, and now how he has matured.
Hope to check in later.
God Bless,Dennis

Good morning all,
IIABSDISEI with temps in the 40s. I read the race report for AJ's team as to why they fell back at the beginning of the race. It was a cut tire. Good recovery to go from 15th to 8th. Bodes well for the season. I had bran muffins on the dining car for breakfast before sending it on to "Points East". TBIL anytime tonight. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Good Morning from Central Jersey, 27 going into the 40's.
Pretty quiet here this morning. I am sure it will change soon. At the small train show that we went to yesterday, my son picked up a gondola and my brother in law Ray picked up a reference book on prewar AF. It sure beat going to get mulch but like I said I made up for it by getting the rest of the garden and flower beds ready. Looking forward to the Greenberg show this weekend.
Traindood, The forecast calls for rain / wet snow Wednesday to Thursday. I have a bad feeling what you are getting.
Don, I like the put the thermometer next to the heat trick. It is warming up to the 40's during the day. Enjoy York.
Getting ready for the Morning Safety Huddle. Our topic is housekeeping.
Thoughts and Prayers for all in need.
Hi GUYZ,
Pretty cold here this morning at 27 to get to 43. Ah the start of another week, all have a good one.
Stay frosty,

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....
It is a cold 26 degrees. Going up to 40 today with some sunshine.
Today is a busy day. Grocery shopping for the wife. I have the usual chores to do. Typical Monday. Great Nascar race yesterday.
Dining car is here with Cheerios for breakfast.
Y'all have a great Monday.

Morning alll
Buckeye Riveter The start of a very long week.
Very good. Means more SS money in the account. All while I lounge at the lake house.
Cold and called for some snohio but never reached Roseyville. The Mayor's warm personality kept it away.
Got ribbon cutting at new florest and then off to the lake house for a week. Hope to vinyl side the storage/golf cart shed between rains.
Nice scenes Shake and Bake tried to trick us. Temps at 80 degrees were due to the grill being wide open and trying to raise it that high.
Have a great week. Off to the lake house with a gift I received in the UPS from CA.
Good morning
18/38 today with bright sun.
Don B. come on down a jacket and jeans is all you need.. Weather is not that bad. Last April we had 70, a 65, when we left Saturday morning it was chilly but clear. Old James has no big plans for the day, so I shall wing it ..S.J.

Mornin' boys. Chilly again in the Mid-Atlantic region, and the local news is hyping radioactivity from Japan. NASCAR race finished the way I like 'em.
cheapclassics - I thought the young lady starting from the 17 spot and almost getting a podium was most impressive. She looks like a downhill skier.
Chief - Shake and Bake had me goin' there.
Mornin' Fellas.Well one of us should be receiving a package today... Been watching the weather trends and so far they have the first two weeks of April being above average... so that means the third week will probably be below average with some precip! Not much going on around here. Need to get taxes together and schedule a visit with the accountant. Also need to start ordering stuff for the spare bathroom remodel.
Aloha. Boy, miss a day and miss a lot -- glad to 'see' everyone. Need another cuppa. Sunny but coooold here. Everyone else is on spring break and this is the first week of classes for us - another quirk of our quarter system. Celebrate with me! I doubled the layout's size this weekend after the bride unexpectedly ceded her storage space to me. . Photos to follow (I hope)Jack, thanks always for your Jack-Notes (tm). I have a BiL who is a sports nut like your SiL. I am always looking for something to kid him about: I now use Six Nations Rugby which I discovered by accident on BBCA. "So what do you think of that Shane Williams. Is he really Man of the Match from Wales v. France?" How is Maximus?Ray, glad Sable is recovering. I love the train attack scene in Lawrence of Arabia. Some of those engines and track are still out in the now-Saudi desert.
DJSpanky, belated . Sorry about the snow. Glad to hear your ACL is back to 'normal.'Laz, does that fencing system let Minie go into your neighbor's yards with the same system or if she's already there, it keeps her safe too?Buckeye, my condolences on your loss - and a tough upcoming week. Joe, those stromboli sounded like they were delicious. I make a nice 'garbage' one with meats and cheeses.Jon, looks like a nice day for the Iowan eagles.Fife, what is this lawn thing you keep mentioning? My yard is leaves and dirt, isn't everyones?Mike C, that was a nice IndyCar race. Got to watch it whilst waiting for NASCAR. Never seem to see the open-wheel racers on network TV anymore.

It is chilly again. A cold front came through this past weekend and will be here until tomorrow. Today's high is around 50. I'm glad we didn't store away the kids' winter clothes yet. My body is still a little sore from helping the in-laws out this past weekend, but I should be 100% by tomorrow. Now that my wife's parents live within two hours, I'm sure we will make more trips to the Tulsa area which should allow me to visit some new-to-me hobby shops. I had cinnamon rolls and coffee for breakfast.
Chief - I had no time to visit the Bass Pro Shop. However, my FIL is an avid fisherman and my 7y/o son loves to fish with him so I'm sure a visit is not too far off the horizon. Will I get a discount if I mention your name? Or will they throw me out of the place?
Doug - The stromboli were so good we didn't even have leftovers the next day.
AF Ray - How's your bracket now? I can't believe too many people predicted that Final Four.
Good day,
Demay Chief - I had no time to visit the Bass Pro Shop. However, my FIL is an avid fisherman and my 7y/o son loves to fish with him so I'm sure a visit is not too far off the horizon. Will I get a discount if I mention your name? Or will they throw me out of the place? Joe
Out faster than you got in.
Sleeting at 39 degrees. Leaving Town Hall now. Soon as I put out the fish food container [a plastic garbage can] at the lake, run an errand and load truck. Gone.
Lunch Time,
Busy but quiet morning, the kind that we like.
Chief, I see that you picked up on Shake and Bake's thermometer trick too.
To save money, the guy who does our purchasing decided to substitute the Tyvek coats that the mechanics wear when they are in greasy / oilly confined spaces with "recycled tyvek type" coats. a few of the guys came to me with them and they smelled like mold and oil penetrated right through them. I went to the purchaser and I told him about it and I showed him the coat and asked him to smell it. He said to use it and there is nothing wrong with it. The guys will use it if you wear it all morning. The right ones are on order. moral of the story, cheaper is not better.
Don, come on now, don't wimp out on York! It can be cold there in April but I was always able to manage with just a jacket like we wear here in California. Just stay inside a lot. Maybe it's colder than usual. I haven't looked at the weather reports back there lately though. I hope you can make it. We need representation from the left coast to compete with all those snohio guys. I used to go twice a year but the Fall meet was my favorite.
later,
Ray

Demay, I'll be at the Bixby train show this Saturday around 10 to noon, probably won't make it to Enid.
41 this am when I went to work (6:30 a.m.) Now its 44 wow a big increase but it was cloudy and drizley all day infact it was raining heavy on way into work.
Supose to drop to 37 tonight. So in come the plants one more time lol was hoping it was done . Supose to ge tup into the mid 70's to low 80's by mid week next week again.

Good Evening
Sun all day but a long way from warm. I felt better today and got some small chores done around the house. I even ran a train for a short time. Beacon will be on, banilla ready so bring the thingy over this away...S.J.
Had a nice weekend dog sitting as Sable in mending, Saturday with number one daughter and some great March Madness games ans Sunday with John and my nephew at the train show followed more hoops action.
This morning I took Sable to the vet to get her drains removed that he put in at each end of the 10 inch incision. The results of the tumor proved benign! Thanks for everyones concerns, I appreciate them. Vet said it will take about 2 months for her two coats to grow back in.
Don - Nice BBQ temp gauge! Where did you buy it? I'd like to get one! BTW, those burgers and dogs will never cook at 80 degrees, you might want to turn it up a bit!
Joe - Nobody saw this coming, only one of my nephews has a chance to get any more points as he has Kentucky going to the championship game and then losing that game. If Kentucky wins that one game we go to the tie-breaker in the championship game for total points. I will finish third or fourth out of 17 players. Great tournament!
SJ - Easy does it. I would have thought running trains would be a daily relaxing event for you.
