Good day,

I know it's been a while since I last posted on the coffe pot, and a lot has been going on since.

The house was re-financed with a buyout mortgage company, one that bought our loan and then told us of the details, after we filed for a hardship remodification through the government program called NACA. Now this company(LBPS from Irvine CA) acts like they want to foreclose on us after all the paperwork we went through with them. I don't understand this mortgage company and what they are trying to do.  Maybe they will understand MY attorney after I file breach of contract and sue LBPS in civil court.

The house isn't worth the money we owe on it, so the mortgage company loses and has to up-date the house electrical before it call be sold. The mortgage company will love FPL after I call FPL!

Hate to move but the mortgage company will hate it even more when they find out what all needs to be done with the house. Don't know where I can find an affordable rental property.

Also been having some problems with my legs and getting cramps at work from standing almost eight hours a day. Finally got some relief by going to see a nutritionist at my chiropracter's request.

Have three days at my job currently. Hopefully my wife don't lose any pay again this year, but the school district has been cut by 10% on their budget.

Been trying to get a 224E running again, needs an E unit, still haven't bought the E unit. Finally heard from the seller of the E unit by email today.

Hey phillyreading:   Just read your post, sorry for your trouble. Lots of people around here in the same fix. Across the lake from me a neigbor went belly up with three little kids. So sad.  Had to go live with parents in Fla.

On another topic:   My son-in-law told me it's the one year anniversary of Johnny Masestro's death. What a natural. Saw him in person when he first started and also near the end of his life. Sounded the same. What a set of pipes!  Whoever didn't see him in person really missed something special. Lots of good memories with him singing on the radio with me and my honey in the back seat of that old Buick. That same honey is sitting right across from me as i write this.  Great times then, great times now. Put on one of his songs and enjoy.   later.

Think good thoughts, do good deeds!

Hi GUYZ again,

PHILLYREADING, prayers for you and the WIFE hope things work out for you.

CHIEF, instead of the M14 think about a Springfield Armory, SOCOM.  It is a M14, .308 Win. but has sinthetic stock.  You can get the SOCOM II that has all the rails on it too.  I have one and so does my brother.  Nice guns and shoot real good.  I was hitting good at 200 yrds with open site last year.  Here is a site for you to peruse at your leasure.

well jack it was kinda like that back befor Christmas when I sold a lot of them as I went thru what I had and say why did I ever buy this. And When did I buy this I don't remember this. LOL

Well got the pick-up sets for the PB-1 by Williams in today and mounted them so next will be coil couplers, lights and the electronics to make it all work lol. Think I need to find a set of small decals numbers ( white in color) to apply to the B-unit so I can give it a number and I can remember it so when I hook it up via tmcc I know what number to address it. I'll forget other wise lol. I also need to look to see where I want to put the run/program switch on it so when I get it all its ready to be done. Still trying to figure do I want to hook up 2 separate lights one in the front and one in the back or do I want to hook up 2 in series in the B-unit and that way its on when the unit is on. need to find 2 small pieces of flat clear plastic to put over the door windows on each end.

well thats it for now talk to you all later

Jack,

No need to apologize for that rant.  I agree 110% that some shouldn't be on the road.  No news on the job yet.

Work was crazy today as a result of the severe storms Wednesday night that lead to a power outage until early yesterday afternoon.  When power was restored, there was a gas leak which closed the store and lead to two managers being treating for inhalation.  They're both ok, and things are getting back to normal.

Spent part of my break on the phone with Rich and Debbie, and there will be a 3562-25 gray barrel car on the way shortly.Smile

Well I took Sable to the vet yesterday morning and all went fine, so far. I picked her up at 5:00 and she was still a little woozie from being out for the operation. She's on pain meds for four days and Monday we go back so they can remove the two drains she has in her and by then I should know from the results of the tumor that was sent to the labs.

Jack - What an ordeal you and your friend went through! He's lucky to have you go through it with him. These things just ruin a life for a long time.

Joe - That Duke game almost killed me as I had them in the finals. It's hard to understand how you can play two totally different halves. At least I still have Kansas in it for the championship.

Mike - I don't know how Butler pulled that out last night I think they got a little lucky.

Jack - No on the power tools! She bought me a new black suit, dark grey dress shirt, green dress shirt and a tie to go with the green shirt. Something about needing a new suit for interviews... I also got 1 dozen chocolate covered strawberries from Shari's Berries from The Q.

Sounds like a burial outfit to me. Better be on your guard!

Howdy all!  Late checkin today - about to wrap up and head home.

SNOW!!!

Yep, we're expecting up to 5 inches of snow down here in Charlottesville Saturday night to Sunday afternoon.  Unbelievable, especially considering we hit 80 last weekend.  Global Warming, my delicate patootie!

Hey RockIsland, I can't remember if you were the one who was interested, but I'm coming up on one year since my ACL reconstruction (4/13).  I'm pretty much back to 100% - playing volleyball this spring (and last fall), and able to chase Tyler and Corey through the playground with no problems.  Still making a concerted effort to work the leg at the gym so it remains strong.  And the weak link is still the hamstring on that leg, what with only having 2 hamstring tendons instead of 3.  But so far going ahead full speed with no problems.

Spank - SNOW? Bite your tongue! We don't need that. What you get I get. I hope not. Al Gore will be so disappointed.

Jack, forgot to reply to your question about my leg pain.  Happy to report that it has gone.  I'm still on meds for about another week and then that's all I hope.  Price of milk went up I noticed on my trip to the store today.  What hasn't!

AF Ray, best wishes for your friend in recovery.

Friend of mine is still trying to figure out how to get headlight back on in my MTH F3 proto 1.  Meanwhile, I am running the dummy A and B with my proto 2 GP7 with the same road name in DCS.  Looks good and I still have a Mars light on the dummy A unit.  Been thinking about putting in a LED light with built in bridge rectifier and power directly from pick up roller.  These are available from one of the O gauge forum sponsors.

later,

Jack - Great Crib Notes on the Pot over the past weeks. How do you remember all those happenings? Your Posts take the place of reading 6 or 7 pages of posts.

The cows are behaving them selves, but it is just a matter of time. I am sure the next episode is just around the corner, probably this weekend if we get the 5 inches of snow spank is predicting!

SURPRISE!!!!

Yeah, I'm still alive....Laugh

Jack - I've seen man's inhumanity to man first hand...ain't pretty and yes I agree...most shouldn't be allowed to drive a 2 ton weapon.  Angel for your friend.

Long weeks at work, paying off beautifully however.  Bills are lower or almost paid off.  Princess is doing ok at school, and I have purchased her tassels, cap and gown.  Miss her terribly and she's on spring break.

Fire stuff working out well, several early morning calls make the day a bit longer....but it is very rewarding.

As for the RoadRunner...well, it seems that every other thing has been more important than the next, but tomorrow and Sunday will be Mopar Weekend and I will be yanking the fuel tank out and getting that cleaned, swapping the Police wheels on to the roadrunner from the wagon as the tires are most likely flat spotted and the wagon will ....um..."round them them out".  I will also be adding some of Mobil 1's finest synthetic gear lube to my Hemi A-990 4 Speed transmission, and reattaching the Hurst Super Stock Pistol Grip linkages.

Pictures will follow...and a severe beating on the resurrected Mopar will proceed following it's initial break in.  I don't baby my baby...it's a high performance car and I treat it as such.  Trailers are for junkers....Smile, Wink & Grin (or Chevys Whistling).

Not much on the train front just yet.....ordered a set of last years Century Beer reefers from the TCA_MG on Yahoo....as I was out of work and poor when they were available.  Looking forward to getting them in the next 2 weeks.

That's all from Exit 8...Watching my Devils vs Pittsburgh...hockey season winding down...and so is our playoff hopes...

TGIF - see ya later!

Good Evening

December in March, 19 tonight.

Hang in there Buckeye we had 6 deaths of relatives/friends in the first 5 months of 2010. Only 1 was older than me. None so far this year. The banilla is waiting and Brutus has the keys. Out for chili dogs tonight, almost as good as White Castle...S.J.

 Good evening all,

I worked longer than planned today, but I was able to have dinner with the family and get the 7y/o son to baseball practice.  The wife made two homemade stromboli for dinner: one had pepperoni and mozzarella and the other one had salami and mozzarella.  The homemade marinara was on the side.  They both were outstanding.  She also made a whole bunch of cinnamon buns from scratch.  I am very blessed to be married to such an outstanding cook.  After returning from baseball practice I cleaned the kitchen and got the kids into bed.  The wife and I then watched some recorded House Hunters International episodes.

Lee F. – I don’t believe that NACA scam worked out for anyone.  I’ve only read and heard about its inability to help people.  I hope the best for you.

AF Ray – I had Duke winning it all.  I’m glad Sable is doing well.

Tomorrow, we are driving two hours to Broken Arrow, OK, which is on the outskirts of Tulsa.  My wife’s parents are moving back to OK from FL.  They have lived in Naples, FL, for about six years or so.  They moved there because my FIL was tired of cold weather.  Now that his mom and family are getting older, as is he, he wants to be closer to them.   It will be a long day helping them unload the Uhaul and trailer.

I should get some sleep now.

Joe

Howdy guys - had a headache for hours today, which is now abated.  Rain and snow and sleet all morning, but didn't stick to the roads.  It's misting now and we're due for 2 hours of snow tonight.  Had to run out for some emergency supplies - oh well, lol.

Missed John and Charlie, but had a nice chat with SJ tonight.  We were figuring out some recipes Smile

RI - glad to have your regular update back, but your other updates were very good and I feel your pain.

Prayers for our heart and hurts, for our friends and loved ones who have passed away, for healing from surgery and illness, and for absent friends.  TARDIS is ready, so let's fly guys!

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

Buckeye, sorry for the loss [es].

LAZ, this one has a synthetic stock.  That and no semi/auto selector is the only difference in this one and the one I carried in the army.  That is why I purchased the M14.  Wanted it as close to the "real thing" as I could get without the weight of a wood stock.  200 yards is nothing.  All my scopes [.243, .22-250, .223] are zeroed at 200.  I shoot tight groups at 300 yds.  .308 M14 will shoot tight groups way past that.

traindood

Hey chief:      Curious, is that a brandy new m14 out of new old stock or a used one.  Also, got my first expert badge with the 1911 '45.  If you ran out of bullets you could use it as a club!  later.

Can't get used military ones.  They can be turned to auto fire.  Also are now back in use due to their long range shooting ability.

Still chilly and cloudy.

Sleep tight.

Morning to All,

March madness is coming to an end as far as work goes.  Had 4 evening events in 3 days plus 3 very early mornings which resulted in four 12-14 hour days this week. Looking forward to York in about 3 weeks.

Not sure if I posted about the Train show I went to two weekends ago.  Nice medium sized show, prices seemed pretty decent. Did get to see the Lower Susquehannna Valley Model Railroaders modular units in action.  Jefelectric had sent me information and I'm on their mailing list, but with working full-time I haven't ventured into building modules yet. Maybe when I retire...

Tomorrow is a confirmation ceremony for a niece in Northern Va. so we will beheading down there. Of course that means I'll miss the NASCAR race.  ,Angry  An upside is that we'll get to see Son and his GF, plus BIL/SIL always put on a good feed after these types of events.

Well nothing else new around here. Prayers to all who need them, especially Buckeye, Char & Brutus, and those facing financial difficulties. Even in our area which is pretty well off as far as the economy goes, the number of kids being categorized as homeless due to foreclosures, etc is rising quickly.

Take care,

Mitch

Brutus, I will try again tonight.

Chief, Good luck with the fishing derby.

Good morning Y'all!  Was hoping to burn a large pile of brush the landscapers piled up...but they have a burn ban for the day (we have to check with the ranger station each day).  Have some planting to get done, but I am on call.  If they leave me alone, I will get some trees in the ground and some miracle grow.  Work has been quite busy lately with some very complicated surgeries on rather sick patients.

Jack, thanks for your "cliff notes", perhaps we should coin a new phrase...."Jack Notes" that allow those of us unable to spend the time to read all the going ons that we have missed from being kept away with life.  For the issue of losing friends, yes, those of us blessed with many good friendships must realize our blessings and understand when we loose someone close to us, that we were given them for awhile.  As I grow old(er), more and more family and friends are leaving this world.  I pray for their final destination.

Rich, do they still have weekend racing at Englishtown?  My dad used to race there and I have friends who used to.

Buckeye, sorry for your loss.  As I mentioned to Jack above, you were blessed with the friendship all these years.  Makes it tough when they are lost, but it is better to have had their friendship and weep at their passing.  May God's peace come to you and his family in this time of grief.

Chief, I have never owned a M14, but did get to use one for a number of years.  I could regularly hit the 9" steel plate at 300 yds using open sights and freehand.  I know it would take some time of training again to get to that point.  I have some folks who are urging me to start competing again...but I am currently too busy.

Well, gotta run and get to the day's chores.  Hope that each of you have a blessed day.
Dennis

Sunny and a cool 40 going to only 42 at exit 77 at the GSP today.

Not much to do today but babysit Sable as she recovers and watch March Madness later on.

Chief - Last night's Kentucky - Ohio State game might not have had the most dramatic ending this year but it was close to it! It was the best played game by both teams and close throughout. I think it was the best of this years tournament. Go Kansas!

Buckeye - Sorry for your lose, I believe it's a compliment in being asked to serve as a pallbearer. It shows what kind of a person you are, and what kind of friend you were.

Fifedog -  -1.

Chuck - Have you ever seen the show "The Life of Riley"? I envy you as you seem to be living it!

SJ - Seems you're feeling better each day. I hope 100% comes soon.

John (the toll cheater) - I 'm glad it has arrived and I will see you tonight! Don't play with it!!

Laz - As my Sable mends I have been thinking Skinny Minie, how's she doing?

Enjoying the day!

So my son-in-law and I were standing on the deck just after sunset last night while I had the dog out for a routine pit stop.  It was 30 degrees and a bit windy, and we were cold.  He is a sports maniac, so much so that he can name obscure players, stats, etc.  The extremes of sports to the mainstream.  Soccer to MLB (sorry about that MikeC).  It is like he is a walking anthology.....  but NOT about NASCAR.  He asked me why it seems all of the car races are in the South right now.  I pointed to the remaining snowbank four feet below us that was on the ground.  At first it didn't register with him, so I said "They don't like to race with studded snow tires.  Rips up the track."

I can be such a jerk, but it felt really good.  Smile, Wink & Grin  Devil

Not as cold as in SJ's neck of the woods here, but overnight it was 25.  Relatively clear and cold through the weekend with temps in the high 30s.  Saw RT's plantings and felt behind the curve.  Our tulips and some other early annuals have broken the surface, but nothing like you guys in the South have.

Later last evening I was out of gas and fell asleep on the sofa, must be the emotional letdown from events from the past few days.  My survival instincts took over at about 11, and I managed to raid the freezer and score a pint of Cherry Garcia.  Like a bear goind into hibernation, unsure of when the next vital sustinence might come along, I ate it all.  Wife won't notice the missing B&J container until later today.

Tried to get a leaking tire checked out and fixed on my wife's car.  The place was mobbed (again) and I didn't want to hang around for hours until it was my turn.  Tech made sure the psi was OK and then sprayed some soapy water on the valve stem.  Bingo, air bubbles.  He was going to quickly swap out the needle, bit it was frozen, wouldn't budge unless he used more force and possible break something.  And I didn't want to get stuck there, so it looks like I'll just have to keep checking it until Monday AM.....plan to get back there before the opening bell and beat the crowds.  At least there are no nails or some such in the tire.

I was glad I could partially catch up on POT happenings yesterday, especially on posts where some of us need a shot ot two of encouragement.  Don't like to leave anyone out......such is the atmosphere in this forum.  The POT may have its detractors and shortcomings, but acceptance and support is the order of the day here.  I hope it never changes.

Prayers for those who need them.....including the dogs even though they can't type!!!!
