Good Morning from Central Jersey,

Not a bad morning and the weather is suposed to be good. Tomorrow is rain and snow.

Thanks for the prayers for Sarah. She is a sweet kid. Very smart but in constant pain.

The amusement park train that I was refering to happened in Colorado, near Denver last August. I believe it was operator's error. Too Fast.

Ray, All in the family. I thought that show was about my family and the neighborhood that I grew up in. Edith is my Aunt Mary to a T. My Father and all of my uncles are a combination of Archie, Fred Sanford and the father on Everybody loves Raymond. Come to think of it so are all of my friend's fathers.

Thoughts and Prayers for all in need.

Good morning all,

It is cloudy but mild in SE Indiana with temps near 70.  Long long day yesterday.  Work was ok, but other situations not so good.  Can't really go into details, but some matters could have been resolved much better with a little cooperation on the part of some people.  On the plus side, the realtor has already scheduled a showing for dad's house.  Obviously it may not lead to a sale, but still this is a good sign.  I had the regular fare on the dining car for breakfast before sending it on to "Points East".  TBIL anytime and I hope everyone enjoyed the ride last night.  To use an old phrase, I "blew the carbon out" and opened 'er up last night.  That Tardis really moves when you hit the loud pedal.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Mostly sunny and high 70's here today.  Supposed to deteriorate into 40's and thunderstorms over the next day or two.

Finally got the last batch of prototype parts built over the weekend - work calms down just a little bit now.  Been working on them for about three weeks straight.  Still plenty to do, but the time pressure is not as bad.

My wife seems to have reached a plateau in her knee rehab.  Is getting discouraged at times, but keeps at it.

All for now.

Good evening all,

It was a pleasant day today.  We had hamburger steaks, and roasted potatoes and asparagus for dinner.  It was delicious.  I ran the trains for a short while with the baby and then got the kids into bed.  The wife and I then watched some recorded House Hunters International.  I then had a brief chat with SJ and Brutus, but I need to get on the Tardis earlier.

Subbob - Thanks for nice comments.  I hope others enjoy it, and I'm always open to suggestions.

AF Ray - I am only 37 but have seen every episode.  As Jim Probe pointed out, they were running episodes of it while I was in high school.  It's actually still aired on the TV Channel I think.  However, during my second deployment to Iraq one of my coworkers brought all the seasons on DVD with him.  I lay in my bunk after work on watch at least two episodes every night.

It's time for bed.

Good night,

Joe

Never missed All in the Family, it was great.  Archie's Place wasn't very good though - not without Edith.

Prayers for the biopsy results, surgery, surgery recovery, illness, and may God heal all our hurts and hearts.

Don - I had the days scheduled off and at one point had budgeted the money for the trip and some goodies, but won't be making the trip in April.  If Char goes back on the 29th and things work out, then I hope to make it in October or next April at the latest.

Nice chats with SJ, Charlie and Joe Smile  TARDIS is ready and Mike is driving, so hold onto your seats boys!

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

SJ,

I just quit paying attention to him.  I could care less what gets posted on a blog.  People like that need to shut down the PC and get a life.

Bob,

That sound in the video that sounds like something is broken is what the working diesel roar sounds like.Big Smile  It starts before the train begins to move and intensifies underway.

Ray,

When I was still in high school, All in the Family used to be on TV Land in the morning, and I spent a good portion of my summer watching it.  Great show.  I am a big Archie Bunker fan, but I despise Michael Stevic with a passion.Wink

Just finished watching "All in the Family". Anyone younger than maybe 45-50 probably didn't watch it when it aired originally and missed a real good show. It's probably me but that show was as funny as anything ever on tv!

Good Evening

50s today, never got to 60

Well I have been informed that Timboy stole my avatar picture without permission from me, along with Bob Keller's and posted slander remarks on a blog. I have not seen it but based on his Lionel bashes I'm not surprised. Banilla is waiting for the thingy...S.J

Edit:For the time being at least the blog has been removed. I have read a copy of his blog and it appears it's about one brick short of slander but he did use our pictures without permission.

Well, we were closed all day due to winds. We have Doug G.'s moisture coming in tonight. The new guy got some practice tuning the receiver and we've been conditioning diskpacks for the upcoming VLBI run this week (Very Long Base Interferometry). This is where we tie in w/ other telescopes around the world. We will be working w/ telescopes in Europe, CA, and Hawaii.  A few new firsts for this run too. Should be interesting.

Jim T. - what's the 492 sound like?

John - prayers for Sarah

Joe - enjoying your thread on the how the layout is coming

Doug G. - I was looking at the San Diego Model Railroad Museum's site yesterday. Some impressive exhibits you have there. Keep up the good work.

Off to find some dinner and a pillow. 3AM comes early.

John,

           Angel for Sarah.

Don,

I am kicking myself for not getting things together to go to York this time.  I'd really like to go.

DougW,

I heard the same thing regarding sabotage.  Sick people is as light as I can put it.

I am still working on the diesel roar in the 491.Dots - Sign  I replaced the cap, which stabilized the generator, but it still doesn't sound as good as my 492 in this video:

Just read where a six year boy got killed by a minuture train that derailed and 18 others where injured

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/us_park_derailment

It was one of those you ride in a park.

Just saw on the news where this is being investigated as possibly sabotage. Now who in the #### would purposely cause something like that. Angry

Kinda feel like the proverbial "Flat Rock", the worst of the rain didn't show up til later than expected but when it did it poured. Now it seems like it is mostly some squall lines coming thru with heavy rain then it stops for awhile.

Maybe one of these years I'll make a trek to York, currently I can't justify the travel expenses. Maybe I'll start buying some lottery tickets. Laugh

Afternoon all!

Hudson 685 - we will keep your friends daughter in our prayers. Angel

Doug M - supposedly a DVD will be coming this week. Will be interesting to see how it comes out and what they were running cameras on. I forgot to ask but know one was certainly pointing out the front windshield. Should also be able to calculate speed to see if we really went as fast as they claimed?

John F - You only need to clear a spot for Don B to lie down - maybe a sleeping bag - since he will be running trains all night at your place.

To all the West Coasters - send some rain this way. Only 0.1 inch so far this month here. Already starting the year at a deficit.

Cloudy today - low 80's all week - no rain - probably be 100 if the clouds burn off.

Have a great day all!

Regards, Roy

Good morning all, rain has stopped, at least for a while this morning.  I pumped some water out of the pool late last night for insurance.  Looks OK this A.M.  Probably lots more snow in the mountains around here.  Won't know until clouds lift.  Church is having a mission this week with visiting speaker for three days.  Will try to make that starting today.  15 days left on my prednisone.  Reduced dose one more notch today to 10mg. for 5 days and then 5mg for 5 more and we're done.  Breakfast was toast with grits and eggs.

later,

Ray

Lunch Time,

Good day here so far. Pretty quiet and smooth.

Brutus, May your nephew get well quick and nobody else gets sick.

SJ, Sounds like you are doing better.

Don, Mudslides, I hope California is spared. Enough destruction in the world recently.

A sad note, one of the guys that works here informed me that he has to take time off next month. His 16 year old daughter, Sarah, was born with a birth defect where her skin and some organs did not fully develop. She is wraped in a dressing everyday and since her estophogus keeps closing up all of her food as to be purade (Spelling?). She is going to a special hospital in Cincinatti to have a feeding tube put in. She may not have long to live. I will post what it is that she has is called. Children who are born with this hardly ever make it past 18. The longest that one has lived is to age 22, from what he tells me. Please keep her in your prayers.

Thoughts and Prayers for all in need.

Good Morning,

Survived the massive storm yesterday.  We didn't work it was kinda wet and cold.  According to the rain gauge we got about 1 1/2 inches.  As Ray said will need to check the pool.  What is ironic is that we have showers predicted for today, and clear on Tues, then rain Wed., Thur., & Fri.  !!  Mud is going to start sliding soon.

Ended up working on a Control Panel layout yesterday.  Got it pretty much complete, hopefully going to start wiring it up this afternoon, or tomorrow.

"Cleaning up the basement and layout room before Don Baker stops in while at York, I tend to let it a bit cluttered between visitors.  - John Fullerton"

John, I doubt that you would have much to do, as far as the clutter, that's what I'm looking forward to seeing, all the new stuff.

Going to be a short week, I'm sure of that.

There's a lot of names missing from the York list, Buckeye, Chief, Dennis, Brutus, Submbob, Doug & Doug, and many more.

Back from the Lake.  Went east to Holmes County on Saturday and the Amish farmers were plowing the fields with their big draft horses.  Spring is one of the best times to visit Holmes County, Ohio.  You can just watch the earth spring back to life after a long winter.  With the new round house being built between Sugar Creek and Baltic, I expect my favorite Amish restaurant will get very busy.

Modern equipment in Ohizo.

Back to work tomorrow so that I can pay the Chief's SS check again this month.

Trying to be nice and make up to me.

Everyone have a great week.

Morning.  Warmed during the night.  County Commissioners this afternoon and Mayors' Assoc. tonight.  Week full of meetings and TAXES tomorrow.

Good morning all,

It was in the mid-50s when I went out to run this morning.  It is going into the 80s today and it should be a beautiful day.  I had oatmeal, a hardboiled egg, OJ, and coffee for breakfast.  I have the usual tasks planned for work, but I also plan to clean my sidearm - we went to the firing range on Friday and I haven't cleaned it yet.

Brutus – I hope everyone stays well.

SJ – Make sure you have you comfy robe with you when you go for your haircut.

Good day,

Aloha. Supposed to be nice today before crash back into winter temps. Sigh. That's spring I guess. Got held up by one of the longest CN freights I've ever seen last night. I could barely see the train cars but for the reflective stripes. It made me think how easy it would be to drive right into it at an unflagged crossing. In happier news, the daughter got a summer job at the parking booth at Cedar Point. She'll be living there too. Should be an interesting summer for her.

Happy belated birthday to your bride, SJ. Brent, what happened to Pitt? You're my expert. Wink  Ray, prayers for Sable's biopsy.  Roy, that sort of driving experience would be wonderful. Hope there were pictures. Going up to the Japanese consulate a bit later to sign their condolence book.  Sad

Good morning from central PA, down the road a bit from Laz.

Wet here as well, most of the East is getting rain I think.  Most get busy cleaning up the basement and layout room before Don Baker stops in while at York Embarrassed, I tend to let it a bit cluttered between visitors.

First I'll have to sit down and make a plan on where to start. Geeked

All have a great week.

Dining car is here with the usual breakfast.

Traindood, Ken, I hear snow in your neck of the State.

Doug, Jefelectric, I am planning on loking into DCS. Hopefully we will have the new room ready soon and i can start on the new layout.

Dennis, My Uncle Danny was a ball turret gunner and he did not make it back from WWII.

RT, Did that accident happen in Colorado last summer?

Sub Bob, I am afraid that we did not hit the tip of the iceburg in Japan yet.

Thoughts and prayers for all in need.
