lionroar88 Got out of the house for a few hours today and stopped by the LTS. Owner looks up and says, "I see you've been working again."

Brent - Ouch on the LTS owner comment but it's good to see you around! Glad you got the card!
Had a great time with Doug Da G at the San Diego 3 Railers layout. If you are ever in the area you need to check it out. Magnificent! Like Doug said above - if things wrap up early enough Fri maybe I can stop on the way to the airport and see things running.
DougdaG - Thanks Again!
I have some pics but it is just a pain to post pics anymore.
Hope everyone has a great week - Buckeye too!

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....
It is clear and sunny, but a cold 38 degrees. Going up to a sunny 70 today. Needs to warm up.
Today is a busy day. I have a few chores to do and then I will go to the Fitness Center to work out. I can use the bike and exerciser, so I can make good time of it. Left knee is weaker than right. need to build it up. No train time today.
Dining car is here for a usual Cheerios breakfast.
Y'all have a great Wednesday.
Chuck
Good morning all,
IIABSDISEI with temps eventually getting to 60 but frosty this morning. Came home to empty house last night. Wife had been working on project when she cut her finger with a knife. My dad took her to an emergency care center and she got 3 stitches in it. Finger is still sore. Interesting evening to say the least. I worked on ther redbud trees, pruning the dead limbs and in some cases, trunks. One broke off at the base of the tree, but there is a new shoot coming out of the ground. Watched "Glee", but it was kind of a "filler" episode with no advancement of plot lines. I heard Lost was a repeat. I had the regular fare on the dining car this morning. TBIL after soccer tonight. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Wednesday! YEA!
Well, I think it’s in the 50’s right now, and the ride to work on the Harley was brisk to say the least. Up to a blistering 71F later then in the low 40’s in the AM Thursday. NOT what you would expect for a late April here in Paradise....
Did a little housework last night and helped the princess cook dinner. Homework done and more tonight, that I can count on.
Brent – had to laugh on the LTS comment....IF you want to do ladder work after you heal, let me know, I’ll come by and give you the firefighters lessons.....and I’ll make sure I bring the harness.
DON! Is that you? WOW!! How ya been pilgrim? Long time no see...nice to see you are ok.
Roy...safe travels from Cali...and I need a report on the In N Out burger.....
– for all our intentions....

did win a MTH CHESSIE SD9 With RAIL SOUNDS so now another engine to my fleet just remebered something thou wonder what radius it requires to run hope I will have a wide enough radius when layout is built.
oh well thats down the road as new prodject came up and its going to be done first and that is rewire this house step by step ( to expensive to do it all in one shot even thou will be doing it myself.) as this house has the old aluminum wiring in it and want to get it upgraded befor I put train layout in as want to be able to access easily everywhere. Hey jefelectric you coming south anytime in next year just kidding I have met up with a guy at work which will inspect what I do and hook up what I don't want to like to main power.
Talk to you all later

Stay foamy
Wife had her birthday yesterday. We all went out to dinner with her parents and another close family that we hang out with. It was nice. Her mom and dad still put money in the birthday card...funny. We used it to buy icecream for everyone.
It's been a bit colder here in Buckeyeville this week. Grass has been growing pretty quickly. Im working on getting the grass in much better shape than when I bought the house a year ago. It's green now, but still has dandilions in it, even though I have been treating it with Scott's 4 step for a year now. I can't believe it's already been a year! Time flies I guess...
I have been getting quotes to have someone come in and paint the outside of our house for us. I'm usually one to try to do as much by myself as I can, but I'm a terrible painter. It's all in the prep work, and since the house is 20 years old, there is a good amount of prep work...stucco needs repaired, some cedar boards need replaced, downspouts need extended to the ground, the man door in the garage needs replaced, and the wood garage doors need resurfaced. The house should look brand new in a couple of weeks.
Have a good one!
Wes
Aloha all. Sunny and cold this am. Looks like a full day. Nice ride home late last night with the gang: Charlie, Brutus, Sir James, RT and Ole Timer. Heading to Tiffin, OH tomorrow to pick up the daughter and all her gear. They're done for the year already.

hscsltb Well i'm back to work. The week went by too quickly. Will have to make some time to catch up on the posts.Hope all is well.WARNING !!!!!! I found another trap designed to empty your train money account. It is called the AMERICAN GIRL STORE. Designed to pray upon young girls who in turn give their daddy the cute look.I had to part with 165.00 just to get out of there. BE FORWARNED!

I feel your pain. As DougM can attest, there is one of these evil places in Water Tower Place in downtown Chicago, right next door to the John Hancock building. Wife and I took the granddaughter there last week during our road trip to visit family and friends in Chicago. I got nailed twice! Once at the store's cash register and again when I went to get my car out of a downtown Chicago parking lot. The dolls cost an arm and a leg. Then there are all of the clothes and accesories. Barbie and Ken didn't bankrupt me with my daughter, but the American Girl Doll Store will with my granddaughter.
When I point out to the wife that I still have my trains, that all of the daughter's dolls are long since gone, and that we are already hemorhaging accessories for what the granddaughter has already received out of the AG store, it goes in one ear and out another.

IF IT WON'T COME LOOSE BY TAPPING ON IT, DON'T TRY TO FORCE IT. USE A BIGGER HAMMER.

That is exactly why I never had kids and folks ask me don't you wish you did and I can say no I can buy a lot more things now since I never did. When I was younger say in late 20's or early 30's my brother asked me you going to have any kids I said why I want a kid around I borrow a neighbors I get tired of the kid I send him home it works for me.
Jack, Don't want to burst your bubble but it is almost as bad with a grandson, but at least grampa can play with the flanged wheel toys as well.
Ok, does anyone see a trend here:
> Jon came for a visit, it rains.
> Roy came for a visit yesterday, it rains.
Now if any of youz guys are planning on a visit, make it this summer when it's hot & dry. That's when we'll really need the rain.
Roy, There's gonna be a big pot of Chili for lunch friday, my turn to cook.

Greetings ya'll from sunny cloudy windy rainy and then again partly sunny Taxachusetts,
Brent....here's hoping you are resting comfortably, that the surgery was successful, and that Susan keeps a lid on you..... if that is at all possible. The train store guy's comment was priceless.
Wes......I just received an email alert from Scotts that the dandelions are particularly bad this Spring in MA, I am looking at them, and I have to agree. Not to worry. It's time for your/my second application on the 4 step program, fertilizer with weed control. Hope your wife had a happy birthday and you spoiled her rotten.
Laz......I had a garden salad last night too, along with fried chicken, fried tater wedges, a four bean salad, and Dove bars for dessert. If I skip the salad will I lose weight?
RT.....skip the rewiring of the house. It is a waste of time and money because at the rate you are acquiring train-related stuff you will have outgrown the house within the next six months and will have to buy something larger.
Don......it was great to hear from you again. Missed your posts. But as Pat politely suggested, you still seem to be dodging all of the neighbor-related questions. Please understand that we are all living vicariously through you and need an update. Your CA weather and earthquake reports are interesting but unfulfilling. You are working too hard, hope things ease off for you.
Bob......just got around to looking at the Hubble photos. WOW!!!!
Dennis.....are you recovering? Hope so.
Rich......your weather still has ours beat. It was 37 this AM here on Cape Ann and there was frost on the deck. By the way, because of the FLA weather issues our tomatoes up here have hit $3.37 per pound.
Chief......hope the wiring you and Frankie did works out. It sounds like you are really cranking it up at the Lake House retreat. Eagles' Nest.
DougDG......did Roy behave himself when he visited?
DougM......news flash, from my travels last week! After what seems like decades it seems like the Chicago Skyway road and bridge work has almost been completed. And Route 294 eastbound is clear until you get to a 3 mile stretch just West of Gary. Hope that helps your exit strategy when going to pick up your daughter. Stay away from Route 290 South of Woodfield, lots of road construction and backups.
Spanky.....continued prayers for your successful knee rehab. Hammy may take a while to straighten out, slow healing. Heat, ice, stretching, and twelve ounce curls. Got the latter tip from Laz.
Chuck......hang in there with the PT. I suggest you get your hands on an exercycle and put it down in the train room. You can always tell the wife you are under doctor's orders to go down there and work those train controls legs.
Later gang,
JACK,
Instead of , its 2 cans up for that!
Yes you'll loose weight without the salad, it's water weight anyway.
Jack need to do a rewiring job for safty reason and the fact I can't afford a new house because of all the trains I'm buying
I really do need to slow down but I keep getting these deals and can't turn them down. Guess I just need to stop looking on ebay and choochoo for a while as I definitely am running out of room and the lionel 2010 signature catalog did me in also then Bob Keller today told me that MTH is issuing a SD70 non power and it would look so nice with my SD90MAC that came in my lionel NYC legacy set that I just got. Dang what am I to do guess be glad I have no kids or grand kids to worry about.
Evening all not much going on tonight won what I needed this am and thats good enough for now.
hope all having a good evening. brutus its still light out but turning on the beacon if you fly early enough as I have work tomorrow and a long day. Hmmm what is that I don't seem to remember oh yeah its only been 3 days.
Brent hope your doing better tonight. The coment from your LTS was too funny guess he does have you peg don't he. Think we just need you to sit down with a safty officer for class for about a week and have him go over a few things with you on the do'd and don'ts of home construction
Well you all take it easy will chat some more in a few days
Howdy All
I don't think it reached 60, stayed sunny though.
I got banilla and root beer, will wait for the thingy.
Good afternoon all, Great News! Yesterday I posted about my eldest son having a possible broken arm and how he was incapacited by a large cast and sling. He was faced with not being able to drive or type and we didn't know how he could get to work thanks to our great public transit system here. Well anyway he went back today for another series of x rays etc. It turns out that he does not have a fracture and was able to remove the cast and get back to normal. He will be sore for a while but that is minor. Our prayers were answered. Thank the Lord!
Don, it was good to see you posting again. Have thought about you off and on. Have you checked out the new MTH catalog yet? I did but am not on fire for anything in there yet. I would like to get a Southern Railway F or E unit somewhere in the green tuxedo paint job. I am intrigued by the NS executive F units being reoffered by MTH and also by WBB. Waiting to see better pictures of both.
Next door neighbors garage was burglarized a couple of days ago and we are on extra guard now. The place is vacant and for sale though which makes it harder to secure. I just worry about my own stuff living so close to there. Someone is home here though just about all the time.
Saw my friend last week end who had his trains stolen. He says they caught one of the theives who was an illegal alien. All they did with him was send him back across the boarder but he has only recovered about one fifth of the trains that were stolen. The theives told local hobby shop owner that they got the trains when they were cleaning out forclosed property. Yea, right! Who's gonna believe that story? That should have thrown up all kinds of red flags. Don't know if the local dealer saw an opportunity to make a killing or what but to his credit, he returned all the trains that he bought to the owner.
Looking forward to new reports from the Chief if he communicates from the lake.
later,
Ray

RockIsland52 Brent....here's hoping you are resting comfortably, that the surgery was successful, and that Susan keeps a lid on you..... if that is at all possible. The train store guy's comment was priceless.
Yes it was pretty wiity!
Back from surgery. Pain isn't that bad probably .5 on a 0 - 10 scale. Just cranky.
Brent, we don't really need to have you be the next Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor....seriously..get better soon.
Nice riding weather today, to bad I had to work..most of the time I was outside which helped, down to 43F tonight and THAT should make for some really chilly riding. And I know Jon is laughing at me just cuz I don't have a fairing...!
OK Guys, come pick me up...got pizza and water...Laz is bringing the suds...
Sunny and mid 70's today.
Nothing special going on today. I did, however, manage to misplace my car keys at work this afternoon. Fortunately, I had spares at home.
Got a set of new Lionel catalogs in the mail today from Charles Ro.
Later.
Good evening everyone. Thanks for the kind thoughts guys, I am a little better, but still have some junk in my head. Wife is now sick, so we share the pain. Only thing is that I go to work and then movie stuff while she has to deal with all the kid related things. We are on the mend, but this may take some time. Really need to get some sleep.
Just got home. They were about to serve dinner for the cast and crew....yeah, at 10pm. I told them I'd grab a sandwich at home....now for bed. Have a case in the morning and then another full day of shooting. Got to see God in action with several answered prayers today. Can't get into it now, but it was a blessing.
Hope everyone has a blessed night.Dennis

Good Evening All
Got the 906 crane car all painted and together. Need to order some decals and it will be finished.
Jim – There is a 762 on the bay that might go reasonable to restore.
Brent – Take care with the arm
Wes – There should be some folks looking for summer work that would paint the place.
Jack – The American Dolls, $$$$$$$. Hopefully the girls won’t get too excited about them.
Jim F & Chief – Prayers for your loved ones
May God bless
Jim
Evening all,
Dennis, You and wife hurry up and get better, it's no fun being sick.
Don, Sounds like you have been busy as usual.
Brent, Nice to hear you are doing so well.
I spent yesterday at the RR Museum, pretty quiet day. Did have one gentleman from Australia visit as well as a couple from the Netherlands. Do get to meet some interesting people there. Today was TCA library day and the boss took us all out for lunch. Nice treat.
Time to hit the sack. Good night!
Brent,
Hope the surgery went well. I second Doug DG's suggestion of getting the Q involved with the forum. That would probably make for some interesting reading.
Jim,
Thanks for the heads up on the 762. I was looking at it earlier tonight. I've been eyeing 350 Royal Blues lately. I'd like to get one and swap a 312 or 322 SIB chasis in to get smoke, and move the reversing unit to the tender then fill the slot in the boiler. If only I had more money right now.
Been real busy with end of the semester deadlines. Only about three days of class left in my college career, but it feels like three months right now.
Hang in there GreenProbe Jim -- next thing you know it's been over 20 years since you were in college
Thanks for the prayers and good thoughts guys, wife is continuing to improve. She about took my head off earlier because I thought she should not go to a makeup/spa party - she wants to go but just to visit, certainly can't do any of the stuff. Oooookay, I backed away from that pretty darn fast - still haven't lost my married man reflexes!
I'm beat, pete - mowed the lawn except down in the trees - too muddy after all this rain we have had. I still need to hang up this tomato plant, too. Supposed to be dry tomorrow, so I might get my chance then.
Tardis is ready and looking forward to the rootbeer and banilla, that's for sure!
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.
anjdevil2 Wednesday! YEA! Roy...safe travels from Cali...and I need a report on the In N Out burger.....
Rich,
Sorry guy, you'll have to come to Az, Nv or Ca to sample one of the best burgers you'll ever have the pleasure of devouring. Roy was very strong willed and stayed within a reasonably healthy meal, I always opt for the "Double Double" (oink oink) w/fries & a shake.
