Chief,
The kits are in the catalog by the DCS stuff and batteries. They should be availale in stores.
Good Morning,
Back up to 80 for a daytime high again, and looks like rain. Cold weather over and I will have to wait for my electric bill to see how much we spent for electric in January for the cold snap, a.k.a. artic blast, down here.
Was over to yahoo.com and saw some bad news about the economy again, a lot of stores cutting back and laying off people, even Blockbuster Video and Sam's Club(Wal-Mart owned) is laying off or closing stores. Looks like 2010 is going to be a ruff year.
Going in to work around 1:30 today, don't know if I will work again before saturday or not as that is my next schedualed day.
Put the RV on consignment about three weeks ago and have not heard a word as yet.
My cousin was down from Philadelphia this past weekend in Stuart FL, got to see her for a short time on saturday. She says the antique business is down as well and she has to find other work.
Lee F.
HI GUYZ,
61 and warm with lots o rain here.
Gotta go,
SF,
laz57
Jim T, thanks for the info on the MTH kit. How do you get it? Through parts????
Fifey, you keep us laughing all the time. Makes this forum so much fun.
Sunny and warm after 1.1 inches of rain over night. Some was pure downpour. Was real windy too. Been watching Sniper-behind the crosshairs. DVR'd it from the History Channel. That was paused a lot due to Town phone calls [Will not leave me alone]. Really good. The program said Marine sniper rifle has 2 1/2 lb. trigger pull. I have installed a 2 lb. pull trigger in my .17. Doesn't take much to fire it. Ordered an electronic predator call from Cabela's [along with a camo shooting bag/rest and fiber cleaning rod for .17]. Time to "remove" some foxes and possibly a coyote or two. BTW: neighbor is back home sober and crying "I'm sorry".
Off to the gym.
Later.

Fife, ya got me too there guy! Sunny and cool out this morning. I am on call for the next two days and then heading to Nashville for a CV Surgery meeting. It is a national meeting, so that will cover my CME requirement for the year. Plan to stop by a place called Thor's Trains in Murfreesboro, and a few gun stores to get some ammo. Need some Swift A-Frame 375H&H.
Kids are both at school, so I got to spend a little quality time at the house with my bride. Seems hard to come by these days with all the crazy schedules, but we make do. Plan on some more layout scenery today and hopefully a little running the rails soon.
Not much on the case load today, so I will work out for a little bit. Want to finish the March CTT too. Will keep Brutus and his wife and family in my prayers as well as Roy's sister. Sounds like some heavy duty antibiotics are in the works. Some nasty infections going on these days and it is hard to get hold of them once they get kicking.
God Bless,Dennis

Fife,
Spot on. I am going to save that. I can't quit laughing.
The first aid instructor had us watch a video this morning, and I excused myself from class after someone a few seats back put their breakfast on the floor. Considering how I felt, I wasn't far behind. I am sitting in the Sunfire right now with a good connection to the campus network. I an starting to feel better after reading Fife's post (thanks Fife).

Good Morning
Overcast and gloomy. Last day above 32 for at least a week.
All of the snow is gone so that means more will be here soon. Darn I just can't get those tomato plants in. No big plans for the day, may start reading CTT.....S.J.

Just came in from gathering up the trashcans. Dorothy Gail says "Hey."
Good morning all,
It is back to winter in SE Indiana. Spent some time in Second Life last night. Finished the March CTT. The online material made a nice addition to it as well. Roy, prayers for your sister. Brutus, prayers for both you and wife. Fifedog, amen to the extra 3 hours and 55 minutes. Work will be interesting again this week, but there is a lull now. I had bacon and biscuits on the dining car for breakfast before sending it on to "Points East". TBIL anytime and I can drive. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Mornin' boys. A NASTY 57 here in the Mid-Atlantic region. Storm must have really had enormous energy when it hit the left-coasties. Have to go track down my trashcan lids. Ran trains for co-worker for almost 3 hours yesterday. No pile-ups. He grew up around Cumberland, and enjoyed seeing what I've done. Now he needs to decide what to do with over 60 HO brass engines.
INDY has the better looking cheerleaders, so I'll be leaning their way.
Chief - Don't need those blue pills. What would I do with the spare 3 hours and 55 minutes
sir james -
anjdevil - Don;t pine too much for the NorthEast. I spend my days listening to radio Margaritaville.
Roy - for Sis.
Good Morning from Blueberryhill....
It is a cloudy 36 degrees. Going up to 45 today with some rain coming.
Today is a busy day. I have a few things to do around the house, this morning. And then, this afternoon, I go to my first out-patient physical therapy session, in town. I will go alone, as it is only 4 miles to drive, one way. Wish me luck. ( 5 miles on the treadmill,,,, LOL )
Dining car has arrived and I will have the usual for breakfast.
Y'all have a great Monday.
Chuck
Prayers for your sister - glad her husband made it back.
Sorry for the short chatter tonight guys - had to do bills, receipts, and also unplug a toilet. Finally got done. I have been feeling really tired all day and now my throat hurts. I hope it's sinus, but we'll see how I feel at 6AM. I might take the kids to school and come back home and take a personal day if I'm not feeling better.
Oh - In the bill box, I found a letter from Bosch about our dishwasher that is running right now. It told us that we need to call and get it fixed, it could catch fire - don't use it. Guess I'll stay up until it is done, shut it off, and call Bosch tomorrow. The really bad part about this is that I think my wife asked me about this a couple weeks ago and I forgot about it I sure hope they can get it fixed ASAP!
PPS - Wes, that's a really cool crane, I am so jealous!
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.
Evening all!
Back in town for a couple of days and then I fly out to Portland Tuesday for meetings - returning on Friday late.
Bad weather in Phoenix last Thurs and Fri made returning a bit difficult - but I made it. One of those life's little pleasantries occured. They were stuffing people on every available seat Fri since several flights Thurs were canceled. I was number two on the standby list and they filled the plane. I looked at all the following flights seat availability and they were full also. All of a sudden I was called to the desk and they gave me a boarding pass and told me to go a few gates down. I end up on a plane with only about 50 people and had 5 rows to myself. As best as I could discern from discussions with the flight attendants, it turns out they had a plane stranded in Phoenix from the previous night and no crew. They finally got a crew mid-morning and were taking the plane to Dallas - so they collected all the remaining Dallas stragglers (of which I was one) and I end up getting home about 5-6 hours earlier than I thought I would.
The unpleasant news is my sister got put back in the hospital Wed, but her husband made it back to Houston from his Russia and China trip. She has a persistent infection as a result of the operation - running fever, etc. They have her on IV antibiotics. Her husband spent the night with her last night. She is stable but uncomfortable. They did another CAT scan this afternoon and were trying to decide if they are going to have to operate to clean out the infections.
Hope everyone s doing well!
Regards, Roy

Great auction find!!! Looks really cool!

Awesome!!! Good to hear that you are going to be able to run your trains! I know that Home Depot has ready made saw horses. I wonder if the table idea might give better support though.
Well.....got up to 47 or so today....didn't do anything outside though due to rain! Supposed to drop back down again tomorrow.....down to 20 by the end of the week!!!! BRRRRRR!!! Not looking forward to being outside in that!

I saw your post in SPF about going to Radio Shack. MTH makes an inexpensive kit to add a charging jack to PS1 and early PS2 engines.
sir james I Hey those blue pills are great, they keep you from rolling out of bed at night.

SJ .... that was great ... I needed that laugh !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Chief .... fifedog probably mistook them for tic tacs .... he should'nt keep them in his tic tac container ....
Evening all. Lazy day. Sunday School and then to the pond for some relaxing of the mind. Did some trainroom work. Came down for a snack and a movie. Did get to finish Trains and Locomotives DVR'd from RFD-TV. [wifey went to sleep on couch so I got that in] Then a movie she wanted to watch. Cooked a steak on the grill [one of the best I've ever had]. Started raining. Flash flood watch. Suppose to rain inches tonight. ???? Real warm. May have some thunder. Then went and ran older trains. Ran the MP [with the Eagle on the nose] E6's. Those have not been run in over a year. Fired right up without battery charging. Think I will add a battery charging port on the underside. PS2 so not worried. Bet they don't have 75 miles on them. They are the freebees a guy sent because he never finshed my upgrade to PS2 on some older engines. That is OK. Putting ERR kits in them. Then got down my pride Pre War Berk, gave it a lube and fired it up. Man she smokes. It ran good too. Took photo of new N&W flat with bass boat. Now I know Buckeye is crying up a storm as he does not have a bass boat. Hope to run more older engines tomorrow as not suppose to have Rolesville "stuff" for tomorrow.
fifedog Woke up with a stiff neck.

You sure. I think you have been in those "blue pills" again.
Now for some TV.

Dennis,
I have been looking into glasspacks, but Meagan Racing makes a very nice muffler that is on the car in the first video above. I was talking to the owner of the car about it. It has a deep tone without looking out of place on a Ford. That is important to me because I want it to look as close to stock as possible, and I don't want a muffler that looks like you could shoot a grapefruit out of it.
I finally was able to find a place to store the 332AC today after I rearranged some shelves. Normally, taking down the Christmas layout is a very depressing thing, but it wasn't as bad this year. It felt like it was time to take it down until next year. With it gone, I can focus my attention on the permanent layout.
Chatted with RT earlier on the tardis .... was waiting around for some ebay bids ... only won one but it was a great buy ....
it's a Model Tech Studios Industrial Brownhoist Crane .... already assembled ... weathered and converted to 3 rail ... needed a different crane to hitch to the Shay and got lucky again ... heading for the tardis ...
Adios ---
Howdy guys - wife had a good day today Just finished video chat.
Goofed off most of the day today - played some rock band with the kids on the wii. Then I spent a couple hours defrosting the freezer and unclogging the drain tube with my compressor and a hairdryer. It was backed up and dripping water into the fridge section for the past month or so. I should have done it weeks ago, but we have been a little busy Icemaker is working again too
I took the kids out to eat at Noodles and let them buy a couple books at Borders, then came home and watched Vampire Hunter D. Now I need to sort and pay some bills, so it will be a short chat for me tonight (sorry guys).
Tardis will be ready after the bills are paid, ttfn!
Wowser on the B-J auction, I've never seen so many go into the six figure neighborhood before and that's not counting the 10% auction fee. Just wonder if the same person(s) bought the Ghostbusters Ambulance and the Gotham Cruiser ? There were some really sweet early 50's wagons and panel vans and the prices were halfway decent on them.
8n, It must be genetic. I just went thru the same thing all last week, in one room.

Sir JAMES,
ME and WIFE make pitzas from scratch most Sunday nites. Lots of fun and we even sing the Italian song of DA DA DA DA!
GREAT PITZAs though!.
Watched the last of BARRETT JACKSON along with Fball as I ran on treadmill for and easy 3 miles. JETS played good 1st half then STINKY STINKY STINKY the 2nd half.
Just got done running trains for 1.5 hrs, NO PILE UPs!!! Now to watch 2nd half of game.
SF.
Evenin' Guys,
Packed up the Christmas stuff, trains included. This is a first, packed away the Polar Express and all the add on cars, and the Lionel Fire Dept Baby Hudson and they are all in the original boxes and cases. Packed up all the Lemax buildings and figures. Have a full box of trees as well. Just need to find a place for all the Holiday Tradition set items.
Watched the Barrett-Jackson auction, too many Mustangs and Chevys - looked like a junk auction, save for the few classics (that Kaiser Darrin was nice), too few Mopars and roadrunners. That '70 roadrunner convert (440-6 auto) only $78k? Wow, makes me wonder what I'd get for my early (8/19/1969) production 383/4 speed rr convert.
Still have a bit to do yet but I've been at this since 11 AM, so I'm done now. Clean up a bit and watch Band of Brothers. Next project is to collate all the items for the Jacksonville Train Sale on the 20th. More fun...
Was in the '70's most of the day, rain & sun interchanging.
Also got word on the NJ job - I'm out, over qualified and the pay structure was too low. There will be other opportunities, to be sure.
OK, will check back later or tomorrow...

Good evening all,
It is rainy in SE Indiana with temps in the 50s. Wife and I watched "Australia" last night. Eye candy for both of us...Hugh Jackman for her and Nicole Kidman for me (Tom Cruise is an idiot IMHO). Doug M., sorry for not answering sooner. All the standard gauge engines have stationary bells, and the electrics have non-moving pantographs as well. Tom Carnegie could have been at the YMCA today. "Here's the time and speed report for the treadmill for one mile. Time 9 minutes and 46 seconds, speed 6.03 Miles per hour. It's a nnnnnneeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwww track record!" (Anybody who has ever been to The Greatest Spectacle in Racing would recognize that voice). That and 15 touches (one off the wall) made for a good workout. Watched the last part of Honduras beating the US 3-1 in a "friendly". Hope the US plays better than that in the World Cup. TBIL anytime tonight. I had bacon and biscuits on the dining car for breakfast this morning before sending it on to "Points East". I hope everyone has a good day.
