Good evening all,
It is cloudy and cold in SE Indiana with a blue moon out. Happy New Year to all! I echo Dennis's comments as well. I hope everyone has a good year (even if it is on Firestones for the IRL :-) ). Special wish for success for AJ's team, Sarah Fisher Racing, and "my" soccer girls. (Yes, Chief, as long as I have two good legs, two good lungs, a semi-functional heart, and a mind devoted to soccer, I will be chasing that ball for hopefully a good long time).
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Brent,
How long is that shelf?
Roy,
Welcome back.
I can't believe that it is January already. Oh well, I'll just start planning for next Christmas. I was going to work on the 326 tonight, but I sat down on the couch and watched several episodes of Life On Mars instead. It is a shame that show was only on for one season.
Happy New Year Guys!
Trying to stay warm here Chief...22 tonight...wifey is keeping me warm

15 degrees here, Charlie! Final Happy New Years from me - good night Chief, thanks for the new pot. Prayers for us all in the new year.
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.
The New Year is rapidly advancing across this great country of ours. It is 10:38 pst. Not a lot going on here at our place. But the street is loaded with parked cars, surely a party later tonight. Spent the afternoon monitoring a 3 Stooges Marathon. Taping a copy for the wife and son. Funny thing is the marathon is LOADED with commercials, and I'm sure we have VHS tapes of all the Stooges shorts. Oh well just doing as told.
Looking forward to the weekend, not a lot planned probably get some train time in. Take some pictures of Jons car.
Happy New Year to All, Hoping for a better Year, and thankful for the blessings we received in 2009.
Don

AudioChris ---> Welcome.
88 - That B&O train and shelf look sharp. Just don't leave them there during an open house.
Some good folks on the mend here. Enjoy the sunrise...
2009 certainly had its ups and downs. In no particular order, here are my top 10 up moments:
1) Wifey's 40th birthday trip to St Thomas.
2) Knocking the towel rack off the bathroom wall (in St Thomas).
3) Spring YORK commandeering a tractor for our group photo. (Buckeye's Coffee Pot Interchange rare and expensive boxcar getting abused )
4) Purchasing the Plum. (No regrets, jonadel )
5) Bringing home "Benji" for Mother's Day.
6) A rainy day ride on the boardwalk in a 5-seater surrey.
7) A sail with Mom.
8) A wonderful wedding/family "reunion" in Richmond.
9) Seeing my friends again in October (purchasing has become secondary at YORK for me)
10) Wifey's toast to my mom at Christmas dinner.
It was a good year.
Mornning all. Getting ready to go to Lowes for supplies for more modifying the lake house. Big news!!!!
Pat and Dennis:
I now get RFD-TV HD!!!!!!
Already set up DVR to record Trains and Locomotives and I Love Toy Trains.
Cloudy and damp. Cold on the way [thanks you Yanks].
Have a great New Year.
PS: forgot, talked to nicest lady at Direct TV [for lake house] last night. Getting DVR there for free and no installation. Told them I was going to Dish Network. She fixed it but would have anyway. First decent rep I've talked to at Direct since I got the service. All the others have been rude and would not help. She checked my history and sid I had been mistreated as a customer. She will have a letter [on Mayor's stationary] sent to Direct praising her. I get good service, I send letters. Now if I could get a decent rep for Verison wireless cell phone. Since they bought out Alltel, my service has been horrible. One guy told me I HAD to buy a Verison phone before I would get good service. All those people standing behind that guy is BULL S---!!!!!!
HAPPY NEW YEARs YUOZ GUYZ!!!!!
to me I turned 53 today! And I feel it. Going to run 3 miles on treadmill today very icy outside. If it clears up going out with FLINTLOCK again then have pork and sourkrawt and mashed potatoes. I'll run trains tonite and drink a few OL MILs.

Good Morning 2010!
Snowy morning. Starting to accumulate on the ground. My bride is on her annual trip taking her mom to Florida where she winters. Bride drives her down and flys back the flys down in the spring and drives her back. Been doing that for 12 years now. This year is different because with the grandkids here I have them without help! School starts Monday so I think I will survive.
Chief – Prayers said!
AudioChris – Welcome! If you need help with the restorations there will be plenty of help here.
Laz – Happy Birthday and wishing you many more!
Buckeye – Hopefully the Rose Bowl will be a good game.
CTT Staff – Thank you for providing a format to allow us to play banter seek and receive advice and guidance.
May God bless you all

In the 60's and dropping, raining now. Thought I'd get in the New Years Day Ride as the weather predictors said no rain until 1pm. Just off by 6 hours .
Have to get kitty litter later for the cats.
Was up until 1 then wife woke me up at 6, ten the Princess called at 9. No sleep for the wicked.
Found out my Southern switcher tender is still broken, I'll have to ship it to NJ for repairs. $400 engine that's unusable , great.
Going to add a headlight to my 2-4-0 #8300 ATSF engine later, also. Inside activities are gonna be the rule of the day.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAZ! Prayers for a great year :).
LOL - Son is trying to close up a CD cartridge from the stereo - thought it was some kind of toy! What would he make of one of those 45 spindle adapters?
Good Morning !
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAZ !!!!
I usually wonder about this every year, is the Rose Bowl Parade broadcast nationally? They always talk as if it is, but curious if that is actually true. I do remember as a kid in Illinois that we would see it, but that was a long time ago.
Also, frustrating that the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade used to be broadcast here, but havn't been able to find it for quite a while.
Just saw "Bucky" go by on the Ohio State float. The Cheerleaders from Oregon sure were impressive!
If you do get to see the parade today, our city has a float. It was quite controversial AGAIN! First last years float was primarily all Asian themed and suppose to represent the city, that didn't go over well. Then with the economy citizens didn't want the $200k spent on it!! Rightly so!! The City Council took up donations and indicated it was only going to cost the city $100k, (Note Long Beach, gave up theres for economic reasons, and they are considerably bigger). Also since Cerritos made the news earlier this year with the most caustic air in the nation, they felt it was appropriate to regain a positive identity from the bad PR. (The initial report put out by the EPA was subsequently recanted.)
Yes, Don, the parade is on both NBC and ABC here, but I'm watching the Northwestern game...
laz ---> Big CONGA on 53!!!
BTW, I need those "instructional aids" back...
