That for the prayers gang. If Mom "passes" she will be missed but she will have a better "life". All she does is sit in her recliner. If caregiver is not there, she can not operate TV [has Dircet TV but can not understand how to turn it on. before digital TV, she did know how to turn on local channels]. Poor quality of life. She has been a Christian since a little girl. Always attending Sunday School and Church until she could not drive anymore. Was Church treasurer for years. No one from the Church visits her. Out lived all her friends and family. Just me, Pam and the two oldest Grandchildren. Youngest [Pam's Daughter] never had anything to do with Mom.
Neighbor [Grady] came over and apologized for his drunken behavior the other weekend. He shoveled out my drivway entrance and up the driveway about 15 feet. DOT always fills everyone's drive with snow, ice and salt from scraping the roads so fast.
Closing out this Coffee Pot.

With Mrs. Buckeye, Baby Buckeye and Big Boy Buckeye off to some woman thing this weekend, I was left with a honey do list that emptied all the paper out of the printer but I did run the trains. (Jim, Chuck and Wes know what it means to "run" the trains.) I also added a new siding for engine storage.
Busy week this week. Have the big ground hog celebration on Tuesday and a meeting up north on the same day. Throw in a couple breakfast meetings and surgery on Friday, and I won't see much time in the train room.
Chief.....I hope your Mom is doing better.
Chuck....Keep that PT going.
I wonder were Wes is at. He owes me a car.
Check out the new TRAINS Magazine for the article about the newest roundhouse being built right here in Buckeyeland. Chuck....I see a field trip in our future.

Prayers for all of us and our friends and loved ones. I know we all need em.
Tardis is ready and running on time tonight, so let's hit that HIGH WAY! Got some Ole Mills, Root Beer, and some Miller Lites on board Oh, and sweet ice tea, but not sure I made it right. Sure did use a lot of sugar before it stopped dissolving!
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

Hi GUYZ,
Well did grocery shopping today, took recyclables in, payed all the bills, balanced check book, ran two miler on treadmill, took dog for two walks erected chain link fence on layout and put down playground swings on layout, then ran trains for 2 hrs. NO PILE UPS!!!! AH LIFE IS GOOD!!!
Good evening all,
IIABSDISEI with temps near 30 and Snohio almost all gone. Went to Mass and said prayers for everybody that needs them on the 'pot and elsewhere. Wife and I both went to YMCA. I had multiple double digit touches today. It is almost getting to the point where endurance and not skill is the limiting factor on the touches. Sherlock Holmes was right. "Once you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the solution". Finally got 10E to go thru switch I was working on. Last part of the puzzle was not the switch, but the engine itself. A couple of strategically placed pieces of electrical and the 10E runs like a top. I had cinnamon rolls on the dining car for breakfast. TBIL anytime tonight. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Evening all
Finally starting to get quiet around here. The grandkids spent the day with their mom and came home roudy. After defusing that got them cleaned up and now chill time before going to bed.
DougM theat load looks really neat!
Chief - Praise God that your Mom's doing better.
Good Night and may God bless
Jim
RT and I are holding down the chat/tardis again today .... of course we're browsing the Bay at the same time .... finding each other deals ....
Crazy ebay .... a guy had 3 exact die-cast log cars on different auctions ... I wanted 1 ... but 2 sold for over $12.00 more than the one I won ... the 3rd one .... made my day ... lol
Doug = CNW ..... I use the lifetime map update packages from Garmin ... forever updates ... new ones 2 - 3 times a year sometimes .... at a one time charge .
jefelectric cnw1995Got her (the bride, not the friend) a Garmin 255WT GPS. Hope she doesn't drop / lose it.Doug, My biggest gripe on these things is the cost of updating the maps, almost cheaper to buy a new one every couple of years than it is to update the maps.

On caution on the Garmin - if you leave it plugged into the cigarette lighter overnight it will run the car battery down.
See you on the next Pot.

RFD-TV --- Rural America's most important network!
Got to check in one last time before the new pot starts.
Chief, Prayers for your Mom. BTW it's been a while since you had worse weather than us here in PA. Sounds like you guys got a pretty good dose. Most be all the global warming going around. Even though we didn't get the snow and ice we did get the cold, was 11 degrees this morning.
Posted pics on SPF showing the return of my LNE car and fife's Chessie car. That ends it for here. Did give me an excuse to run some trains.
All have good week.
Back from unexpectedly celebrating a friend of my bride's birthday - unexpectedly in the picking-up-of-the-tab. LOL. Got her (the bride, not the friend) a Garmin 255WT GPS. Hope she doesn't drop / lose it. Hope to run trains in a little bit. Then do the Financial Aid form for the daughter - I swear it is worse than taxes.

Chief, prayers for your mom. Will remember her also at mass this morning in prayers of the faithful.
Ran some trains yesterday in the garage and had a good time listening to my $3 garage sale CD player with some turn of the century Ragtime ochestra music. Reminds you of old time music in the park gazebo kind of thing where the men wore those skimmer straw hats and the ladies wore big white dresses and fancy hats. Hung a few more pictures around the train room.
Incidentally, my MTH Santa Fe GP20 proto 2 engine was making this funny noise like a loud squeaking both standing and running. It is not an axle. I think it must be something in the sound system. Anyway it went away after a while. Anybody ever had this happen? I don't have any idea what caused it.
Weather forcast for next week is showers on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Have to go in for colonoscopy on Tuesday.. Hope I can park close to the door if it's raining. Wife will pick me up afterward.
Have a good day all,
Ray

CHIEF, Paryers for you MOM hope all is well.
Prayers for your mom ,Chief. Glad no heart attack. I love the reports from the summit from Bob - like navyjack, I used to love looking at the sky when I was out in the beyond - still have a home-made scope but it is too bright now around here. Thanks for the image, RT!!Off to church.
Morning from snow covered NC. Frozen but sun is out and radiant heating is melting some. Called hospital and Mom does not know what is up. Talked to nurse and she said congestive heart failure but treated and all is going good now. No heart attack. 93 1/2???? Well, all is well at hospital. Will be tomorrow afternoon before I can get there due to freezing of melting streets. Yvonne [caregiver] is there with her during the day. Can take her home if it is before I can get there.
Fifey, know what you mean. If the mall would open or she would go to work.
Later
Good Morning from Blueberryhill....
It is a sunny 8 degrees. No snow on the ground. Going up to 30 today with sunshine. The blue skies and sunshine are great to see. A little warmer temperature would nelp.
Today is an easy day. Not much going on. I have some exercises to do and will probably run trains later. Not much else is new.
Chief....Prayers out for your Mom.
Dining car was here for the usual breakfast. Need an omlet this week.
Y'all have a great Sunday.
Chuck
Good morning
Cloudy and 15, going into the 20s. No wind or snow though.
Doug M. congrats on your win, just shows if you wait awhile another whatever will come along. I don't use the bay very often as most of what I want drifts through wild bills sooner or later. I shall meander now....S.J.
hello guys, hope that the bad weather has not touched you.
submmbob...last year i bought a #51lionel 0-8-0, as in my last duty station, we lived right across the mountain from you guessed it.... we used to sit in our driveway eating peanuts and watching the weird sky show every night. we were usually entertained. also there was several naval research stations around us in the desert? they let my wife go on the grayback once and let her look through the periscope. also made our way out through the bridge, and had to climb the long thin ladder. wife had cork high heals. she never wanted to go aboard a submarine again. ha. ha
Mornin' boys. Mornin' English. Woke up to 9 degrees and half a foot of SNOHIZO in the Mid-Atlantic region. Our road crew did good by us, as our particular hill is clear. Got to finish my coffee and get shoveling in a while. Wifey had cabin fever, and drove us all crazy yesterday. Grocery store and new curtain rods in my immediate future.
Chief & Brutus- Continued . Hey, what is Dave F up to these days? I always enjoyed his posts; well thought out.
submmbob - Any good black holicopter kinda stuff goin' on lately?
doug is this it
14 here this morning suppose to break 30 today? Going to do some work on layout later today. No football, won't waste time on the Pro Bowl, big joke if you ask me. Wait for Super Bowl next Sunday, WAYNEs is having a SB party for $5 bucks all you can eat of wings, dogs, and meatballs along with chips and pretzels, you gotta buy your own beer though.
Stay FROSTY folks,
Aloha. A little warmer today at 14. But clear and sunny. So excited for my #96. Can't figure a way to pull its photo. The seller was pleasantly surprised that I paid right away, I thought that was what you did. Was looking for the Tardis too. Busy day today supporting the bride's many activities...

Good Morning all
Well my bride came home from shopping for a new washer and dryer. As it turns out I will need to put in a gas line and move the supply and drain for the washer because the type she wants will not fit where the old washer was. It is deeper than the old washer and the door will not fully open. Oh well, it could be worse.
Jim – Don’t post the pics of the 332, right now I really wanting but not wanting as much as they think it is worth.
DougM – Congrats on the buy. It is fun to find stuff you want and get it at a good price.
Buckeye – Daughter in Cincy said same thing. We did not get any more over the night so that is good . Shoveling the walks at 7 am is a bummer before Mass
Jim F – I will be thinking of your bride and her sister during intentions at all the services today.
Bob – How do you beat the snipers?
May God bless
Been an interesting few nights testing this new receiver. We are working at very high frequency (near 700 GHz) so the atmosphere attenuates a lot of the signal even up here. We were finally able to see something w/ it today, so that was pretty exciting. I managed to play around w/ the tuning of it to improve the performance as well. I just had to close due to frost though. It's been a battle but we are getting there.
Ray - sorry to here about your friend. Hope he can hang in there. Sounds like a great guy.
Chief - prayers for your mom. It's never easy being in the hospital at any age.
Brutus - glad to hear your wife is still progressing as planned.
Doug - congrats! Ebay can be very entertaining. I have a couple of tricks to keep snipers off the good deals. But the best rule is to wait for another one if the price goes more than you want to pay.
Been reading Richard Finch's "How to Keep Your Corvair Alive". Great information and very entertaining. Reminds me of the "How to Keep Your VW Alive" by John Muir. He has an opinion and is not afraid to state it. Been thumbing thru the shop manual, Clark's Corvair catalog, and the assembly manual. Now that is pretty cool. Every part on the van and how they put it together in the factory. Incidently Brutus, the assembly plant for Corvair vans was in St. Louis.
Engineers come up Monday again. We are having a little fun w/ our highest paid and most AR engineer. He will drop everything to replace the battery in the clock at the front entrance and even put a note in the log he did so. Well anyway, I replaced the battery in another clock and put the dead one in the one in the entry
