Howdy guys - thanks for the advice. We talked with the social worker and tomorrow is the day for the weekly roundtable where they discuss all the patients. She agreed to bring up our concerns and ask for the actual reason(s) for the delay, or if it is just a certain person involved? We also brought up the fact that they are eating up my wife's medical leave for nothing - just paperwork delays. She said she will call us tomorrow after the meeting with real answers.
Well, toilet stack is moved and then went to eye doc, need new glasses for 3 of us. Hope we have overtime this Saturday and next Saturday and the next 3 after that!

Jon, thanks for the prayers for mom. I would enjoy the photo shots you have. That is a big thing for all your guys coming home. Have a good friend who was a Lt. in charge of a recon platoon in Vietnam, his drawer is full of medals, but doesn't display them. I asked him why not, he said the thing he is most proud of is that while on patrol in some very bad areas, he never lost a man. Also agree that it is a big responsibility to send troops into harms way. I just hope whatever decisions are made, are made to win and complete a mission and nothing in the way of politics.
Son is on the sick side. Has had a fever tonight, so we shall see. He took a 2 hour nap and should be ready to go. I just hope I have enough energy for the rest of the lessons.

Sorry hear about your Mom, glad she found relief as is on the mend, prayers sent. Good to hear about the school progress reports especially considering the length of time missing while on vacation, that used to be a huge point of contention with teachers, not sure what the solution is. Well, I do, but that is only my opinion and it's only an opinion I've sure had fun shooting pics of the new Grandson, I may send you a pic off line as I know you enjoy photography.
A gorgeous day here in the Heartlands, moderate temps--light winds and beautiful sunshine. Tomorrow is going to be a tremendous day, we will welcome home 5 bus loads of Iowa National Guardsmen who have been in Iraq this last year, ALL coming home, YES!!!!!! The other amazing thing is in 2010 3,500 Iowa National Guard members have been notified that they need to be ready to to deploy to either Iraq or Afghanistan, that would be the biggest deployment from Iowa since WW II. Whatever your political persuasions are, I for one am glad our President is going slow on his decisions, I don't want to see another wall in Washington, DC with 55,000+ names on it, I already have too many friends on that wall. I have no desire to turn my feelings into a political discussion.

Good evening everyone. Was a good day, finished my case at 0930 and home by 1030. Nice to get home without children for a few hours. Love them, but also enjoy some time with just me and the Mrs. Has been raining most of the day here. Not sure what the temps have been, but I know we have passed our quota for the wet stuff.
Got a call from Mom, she had been taken to the hospital in NJ this morning. BP was 80/30 which is not good. They gave her some fluids and meds and after a few hours, got it back to normal. She is going for a repair of her Abdominal Aorta in a week, and has been getting things done prior to surgery as she will be out of work for a couple of months. Also, got news on my sister in New York, the have looked at her kidneys and while one is not functioning, they are not sure why, the other is working well, so they are happy about that.
On a good note, son came home with report card...all A's. He is doing very well with his studies, just hope he keeps it up. We were concerned as he missed the 8 days we went to Disney.Spanky, check your camera for what type of computer connection it has. I have had the occasional card that would not be picked up by the reader, or a computer. I just hooked up the camera directly to the computer with the proper wire and directly downloaded the photos. Another thing you may want to do is run a anti virus/spyware program and reboot your computer. I have also had some glitch stop the computer from reading a card and that was the problem....had the photo program bound some how.Brutus, as Doug said, check the hospital to see about a patient advocate. I know our hospital has one and they can usually get things done. There are people who think more of themselves who tend to not give a rat's backside about the people their job affects. An advocate who knows the system can help things along. I am more of a top down type in that I would talk to the Chief Medical Officer of the hospital and ask them to get involved. In many places, they hold administrative powers over non physicians as well.

Howdy guys - well today has been slightly interesting. Plumber came to move the stack for the basement toilet. He used a jackhammer - cheater! Why, when I moved a drain, I broke my back for 2 days chopping concrete with a sledgehammer! Oh well, he had that done in about an hour - guess this is what separates a Pro from ME We were in luck and the sewer line actually went the way we wanted, sort of parallel to the wall. He had to cut out about 5 inches of pvc back to a 3-way Y piece, then pretty much came straight up from there. It has a slight bend in it back on itself, and came within about an inch of my favored spot, so that is good enough! I need to patch the concrete - will do that this weekend. We need to decide which shower we will install as well, for then I can possibly shorten a stub wall by an inch or so, but actually I think that is not needed - the toilet will be a good 18 to 19 inches from the stub wall and from the sink fixture.
I had a coupon for $100 off, but that was for outside sewers only. Another coupon worked - $35. So, all together it cost me $1085 plus a bag or two of concrete and an hour of my time this weekend when I would have been working on the basement anyway.
Have to get cleaned up for an eye doctor appointment now.
Really enjoyed our talk last night too, guys. This is some tough stuff going on. We're hoping the social worker at the hospital can be our advocate to speed things up. If we have to write to that nurse's board of review and the hospital board and our congressmen and the state attorney general and even go to a lawyer and get a writ of mandamus then we will do so.

IIABSDISEI with rain moving in later today. The "saucy wench" and I went to a program about trains in Decatur County last night. The guy had a video of computer generated trains in action around the Greensburg railyard. He also related how he finally found some pictures and film a friend of his had taken of railroading in the area back in the 1940s and 1950s. He also had some pictures of some O scale scratchbuilt passenger cars by the same person. It was quite impressive. I hope some day all this material is online some where. No YMCA workout. I had the regular fare on the dining car for breakfast this morning before sending it on to "Points East". TBIL after the local high school band concert tonight. I hope everyone (especially the new impending arrival!) has a good day.

Good evening everyone. Has been quite a day. First case was arduous. Kept me busy till after 2pm and then second case went quick like a bunny. After picking up son from school, came home to a quiet house. That is, until we started the violin lessons. Kids are doing well, hope I can keep up with them.
Fife, that is a great idea! While I don't know about Phish's circumstances, I may be able to make such arrangements here. They are always interested in ideas that can teach the kids some valuable lessons in a Christian environment. That may work.
Chief, that is a nice gift. Looks like the horse is making some "buckeyes"! Just kidding folks. Looks like I won a few items on ChooChoo. Bride is going to love this.....as if I don't have enough.
