Good evening all,

IIABSDISEI with temps in the 60s. Dennis, enjoyed the pecan chocolate pie last night on the Tardis.  It was delicious.  Almost made me forget about Don's neighbor.  I pulled a "chief" today.  Trimmed trees in our yard, mulched the leaves, cleaned the barn gutters and did weights and soccer drills at the YMCA.  Tired.  I had bacon and biscuits (not one of Buckeye's) on the dining car for breakfast.  TMCC MAN, glad to see you back.  Loved the pictures.  If I had stayed over at my dad's today, I could have watched six hours of college soccer on the Big Ten network.  What is wrong with me????   "Housewives" was good as always.  TBIL, and if Dennis brings another pie, I can drive all night long.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Just had a quiet day of some games with my son, visiting with in-laws who made a special trip to see us, and then visiting over at my folks' house with a big honey-baked ham dinner.  Yum!

Tardis is ready, so let's hit it guys Smile

Morning guys.  Have a couple of early hearts this morning, so I am getting ready to head in.  Can't leave the Pot with Brutus' post as it is 666, so a quick sip before heading out.

SJ and Laz, speaking of LPGA, Nancy Lopez is a member of our church and often holds clinics for the kids.  While my kids have shown no interest, it is a great thing she does.  From what I hear, she is very patient with them.  Nice to see some real champions who know how to give back.

Well, MIL and her husband stayed over again last night.  Since I am heading into work, suppose I won't return before they head home.  Was a good weekend, though only a little train time.  Hope to make up for that this week.

God Bless,
Dennis

Good Morning!

Great coffe and honey nut cheerios this morning.

Greg - Thanks for the kind words about the layout.  I think what I can do is stage small diaramas with the different accesories and trains and use them for posting / inventory.  We'll see.

I have an auction on ebay I'm watching.  We'll see who wants the item the most!  I've never bid on the Choo Choo site.

Need to get to work

May God Bless

Morning to All,

Just a quick check in.  Pretty lazy weekend. I did help the Mrs. with some chores on Saturday AM then ran the standard gauge trains for a while.  Crazy busy week at work so probably no train time for me this week.  I really need to get out to the o-gauge layout and do some cleaning and repairs.  Tried to runs some trains  a week or so ago and must have a loose wire from transformer to track, nothing would move.

Well, I better get moving.

Take care,

Mitch

Good morning all,

IIABSDISEI with temps in the 60s.  Quiet ride on the Tardis last night and easy drive into work.  I had the regular fare on the dining car for breakfast before sending it to "Points East".  TBIL, and I can drive after a special train program at the local library tonight.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Aloha from a grey Chicago. Looks like it rained a bit last night. Doesn't look like anything too onerous today. Got my bloodwork so I'll make an appointment to see a doc. Maybe the sun will come through later - dry out the big pile of leaves the neighbor kids made to jump in...

Buckeye Riveter

TMCC.....Good to hear from you.

Yard work today.  Mow and mulched grass and leaves.  Brought hoses in for the winter.  Pulled out the tomatoe plants.  Took down the patio umbrella.

Back to work tomorrow.

Sounds more like you are moving away.  OH, you Yanks have to really winterize. Whistling  Why mess with the grass and leaves.  Soon they will be covered with Snohio. Laugh

Morning crew.  Had grits and toast.  Cooked bacon and chopped into tiny bits and added to the grits.  Off to the gym for a workout.  Cloudy here.  Later.

Good Morning,

Survived another weekend, was especially good - no vehicle issues !  New van working out very well.

With all the talk about "winterizing" thought I better start getting ready....

Today -  Ahhh, Ahhh, Ahhh, think I will start tomorrow.

Tomorrow - Ahh, Hmmm, Hmmm, better check pool timer, probably cut it back some.

Wednesday - Ahh, Ahh, Hmmm, lot of other stuff planned for Wednesday, continue winterizing on Thursday.

Thursday - Ahh, Ahh, better water the lawn again, hmmm.   Oh, put patio furniture away,  WAIT can't do that will need it on Saturday.  Might as well just leave it where it is.  Should check oil in snow blower though, OH! that's right I don't have one!

Friday - Ahh, Hmmm, Check outside of house, especially windows.  (Probably needs cleaning).  Should find the ice scrapper, just in case.  Whoops, don't have one of those either, heck they don't even sell them around here.

Saturday - Busy day, probably most active "winterizing" day, will need to set the clocks back before going to bed.

Sunday - Winterizing should just about be done, only thing left to do will be flip the calendar pages.

That should take care of it all, won't need to be concerned until spring.  Can be a pain, but that is the way it is !!

Hope you all have a great day!

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....

It is a clear and sunny 55 degrees. Going up to a sunny 70 today.

Today is busy. I have a bunch of things to do around the house. Will be busy until nap time. Love those hour naps. Then, I will spend some time in the train room, doing some cleaning. Time to dust the trains.

Dining car was here and we had the usual for breakfast.

Y'all have a great Monday.

Don,

What you were saying about putting off winterizing sounds like what I have been saying each time I think about working on the layout.Laugh

Jim,

         I hope you aren't watching a certain 302AC...

Not much going on right now. Since it is Monday, I need to get my online classwork caught up a bit. I also need to call to be sure that my copy of Forza 3 will be waiting for me tomorrow.

Good morning all, went to TCA Western Div. meeting on Saturday which was a dud attendance wise.  Just went to church yesterday and not much else.  Fooled around with new digital camera a little  and had to change batteries already after only a couple dozen shots.  I probably ran the batteries down playing with the thing and looking at all the features.  I have been told that these things eat batteries especially if you use the flash all the time.  I posted a few pictures on the "other forum" on the photo album section if anyone is interested.  I will try to get some on CTT soon.  My son is teaching me how to do things but he has very little patience with me.  To be fair, he was in a hurry to get to a ball game so he did most of the work himself with me looking on.  It's the old story of give a guy a fish or teach him how to fish etc.

Don, glad you are winterized.  I did the same thing.  I put the umbrella away from beside the pool.  I thought Winter was over.  It rained once did'nt it?

Chief, re bacon and grits.  Sounds good. You can put almost anything in them.

Been doing a mental review of some of my inactive engines.  I have a couple of brass scale Williams engines that are good but I have replaced them with MTH Proto 2 models with all the bells and whistles.  I just thought I ought to get these things out and run them a little and give the electronics a rest.  Another thought occured to me.  I would'nt mind having one of those Williams brass cab forwards.  They ought to be a lot cheaper than the MTH models.  Maybe I could even trade for one.  Anyway, just food for thought.  Have to check out the bay and see what things are going for over there.

Have a good day,

Ray

Hay Ray, the few people who knock grits had their palates damaged from eating mud pies as kids. The rest of us know how good they REALLY are.

Ahoy boys.  Sunny & 61 (awesome day) here in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Is it possible to get Spring fever in the fall...Confused

Phish - Could your current layout find new digs, like say, your church?  Not saying place all your dearest treasures on it, but we all have "kickers" that we could use in such a setting...

Don -- I noticed the one thing you forgot on your winterizing list was to check the inflatable life raft for your family in case the San Andreas Fault opens up and you slip into the Pacific Laugh  I know the chanes are slim but I want you to be prepared this winter!!

Afternoon all

Fife - I was thinking about that.  Both parishes I serve are small and we use all the square footage now.  I may be able to fit a small oval in the garage to use as a test track for repairs and the like.  It is already made and was actually on the single bed that rolled under the layout I'm taking down.

I'll check back later.

May God bless

Jim,

How much space do you have in your living room? Christmas is approaching, and that can provide a good reason to build a small layout.

I managed to add to the AF collection again. I found a clean one-piece cast 302AC for a price that I couldn't resist. I tried to fight it, but I couldn't help myself.Big Smile Now, if only I could find a four-piece cast 302...

Good Afternoon,

Been busy with a new to me MTH engine & tender. Had to replace the battery before using the engine and traction tires had to be replaced. Found the smoke switch, cough cough, and now it smokes really good. Still can not get the uncoupler feature to work, even with advice from greenprobe97(Jim). Read post about older MTH engine & coupler.

Did an oil change this morning on my car, now charging the battery as it seems low. Also killed a few mud wasps or something like that, they were building a nest at the front of my garage. The wife's car was in the shop last week for a radiator and water pump and timing belt, and tires, Black EyeSoapBox, the really got me! $2220.00 or just a little more but the car is running great, so what more can I say?

Go to the dentist tommorow, ouch! Will be going a few more times until I get a few more things done.

It sits beside my Granddaddy's clock I have restored.  Proper place for such a great item. [BTW: Buckeye's likeness is right below the clock]

Lee,

I made a mistake. Upon reading the instructions, I saw that you need to press the whistle button, and not the bell button as I originally stated.
