Ole Timer Kurt .... you got off easy .... she could have made you put on the apron and do all the housework to boot ! Sorry to hear about the kids though ... darn .
Ha! I already do all the housework. Sans apron...and the laundry...cooking...dishes...yardwork...
Bride requested Chinese take out for dinner...so we had Hunan Chicken, fried rice, and fried dumplings.
Good evening all,
IIABSDISEI with temps in the 60s. Sarah and both the Foyt cars are in the 500. Lots of drama both days. Dad took us out to dinner for wife's birthday. Happy birthday, Chuck!!! Special load of brownies headed to "Points East" to celebrate. Innards acting up again. Almost like clockwork, every two days :-( May be a "bug". If it lasts much longer, may go see doctor. H---, I picked a good time to fall apart, just before the 500 and soccer season. Beacon is lit, but make sure there is a clear path to bathroom! I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana

Good Evening All! Had the MIL over and she left this morning. Went to church. I was supposed to be off for the media team, but they were short a few camera operators. Handled this morning fine, but tonight's service, I was shaking like a bird dog trying to pass a peach pit! Fortunately, the pastor was sitting on a stool for tonight's service and so I was able to lock the camera in position for most of the sermon.
For those who have seen Fireproof, the guy who plays the lieutenant on the FD and the executive pastor are heading to Germany to give some services for our military folks and for the families at the base. Really is a big deal in that they are trying to help couples re-connect after deployment. Both the guys who are going are also U.S. Marines. One retired, the other active.
Well, so far, I don't have any cases scheduled for the morning. I hope to catch up on some reading and some paperwork. If the schedule cooperates this week, I plan on some layout work.
God Bless,Dennis

Happy birthday chuck.
Had a wonderful moms day. The Wife & I , along with our kids & grandkids all feasted on KFC at my parents house today. It was a lot simpler than going out or me trying to cook. Went over so well we may do it again for Fathers Day.
I prefer a glass of wine myself
Chief, take care of the cold
Phish- Loved you pics on SPF. How did you do your background? I'd like to make mine loofk similar.

Almost forgot, HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHUCK! You look great for a guy in his 80s.....Oh, you're only 67? Never mind. But to be serious, I do wish you all the best and hope you get something with flanged wheels for your special day.
Dennis
Good Evening all
Well the day was full for "mom", #2 son took her to the Texas Steak House and boy we got there just at the right time. We were seated without waiting but by the time we left the doorway was so crowed we had to karate chop our way out. They had setup a tent outside for folks to wait in. Then she watched her Red wings win so a full day for her. Yes trains were run today for the grandsons.
Brutus I am waiting with banilla at the ready....S.J.

Good Evening from beautiful Southern Ohio
Happy Mother’s Day!!!!!
I think the bride had a good day. Both daughters came home. Youngest made supper. It has been a busy but great day. I had two services and another baptism. We are seeing a lot more younger families in church lately, and it is getting fuller too. God is great!
Happy Birthday Chuck, I will say a special prayer for you tonight
Banks – I painted it with acrylic paints. I am no artist but I bought a book by Bob Ross (The “Happy Tree” painter”) and got going. There was a few articles the past couple of years on painting backgrounds in CTT. It was fairly easy. I am going to touch it up sometime to add fall colors, if I ever get around to it.
Here is a better picture
May God bless
Jim
Good evening all. It's been a busy week and week end. Happy Mother's day to all the Mothers. Took Jean and daughter's family out for Mother's day last evening, tried to beat the crowd & it almost worked, only a short wait. Then today daughter made a nice dinner for her Mother.
Hope everyone has a great week this coming week.
Howdy folks, sounds like all had a good day! Congrats and Happy Birthday Chuck! Almost missed it!
Today was just a quiet day hanging out with the family. We played some video games like Mario Kart, watched some tv together, and I made a roast garlic pork dinner with mashed taters. Son helped me with that. Daughter and I also made a nice yellow cake with chocolate icing. I'm saving you a piece right now, SJ! Don't know how long we can keep it safe around here though!
Tardis is ready - had to kick some neighbor kids away from it, I think they were trying to spray paint it? Mike, you can sit in the special command chair in the auxiliary control room
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

Good morning all,
It is rainy in SE Indiana today with temps near 70. Watched "Housewives" last night. Brutus, thank you for the "special" accommodations last night on the Tardis. I hope I do not need them much longer. Long day at work today. Lucas goes in at 8 AM for job orientation today and starts regular work at 3 PM Tuesday. I had the regular fare on the dining car this morning for breakfast. I hope everyone (especially me) has a good day.
Good morning
Chilly 50s but sun is shining.
I need a hair cut but don't feel like going, not sick, just lazy.
Lot's of chat last nite. Let's see Brutus, RT,oletimer, and Charlie. I hope I got everybody, think so.
Everyone have a safe and great Monday.

Morning all. Cloudy and rainy. Turned Yankee cool. High 62!!!!! Will bounce to Southern comfortable warm tomorrow. Should have heard Garrison Keeler live from Durham NC Saturday night. He talked about the friendly and warm people of NC and the South. Then he talked about the rude and cold folks from the North. Woman's voice: " Honey, you sit right down here and relax. I'll get you something to eat and some ice tea. Are you sure you have had enough to eat? How about another glass of ice tea?"
Probably going to visit my retired pilot buddy down int he sandhills [which are having severe t'storms right now].
Have a great week. Later.
Morning. Brisk today - was in the 40s this morn. Waiting on some visitors from Ireland I must squire about. Went out to dinner last eve. had terrible service unfortunately. Messed up meals, forgot appetizers. Wasn't even busy. Got to wade back through college and NCAA paperwork for the daughter this week. Chief, I was just listening to Garrison's show!

Mornin’ dudes
Been very busy at the job. Had Saturday off, first time since January and had NOTHING to do but go to the HOG meeting and then the train store. Bike ran fine, no problems so far...but then, it’s only been 100 miles. Worked on the boy’s Daytona and lemme tell you, working on your back doing freeze out plugs is NO picnic. 2 hours later – done. Took wife to dinner at the beach with the boy, daughter out with boy friend’s family. Had the PT Cruiser drop top all weekend, and the top was down all weekend. Nice cruisin’ around.
Mom’s day, wife had to work, so I cleaned up the train room a bit, worked on some of the rolling stock, slid a $50 gift card to the boy and told him we were taking Mom out for dinner. Went to Maggiano’s and a good time was had by all. Went for Ice Cream at Kilwins (you Michiganers should know that name).
I have a very later night week ahead of me, Dr appt. tomorrow night, train store wrap up Wednesday, certification tests on Thursday and set up for car sale Friday. Saturday working again (for the real job) then off Sunday. Memorial Day week end, I’m not doing anything I think....
That’s all the news so I’ll check in later...!
I am the monster in your head...And I thought you'd learn by now, It seems you haven't yet.I am the venom in your skin --- Breaking Benjamin
Spank: You're making me thirsty...C'mon noon!
Rich: We love Kilwin's...Downtown Ann Arbor. They have the best pecan coated carmel apples. We end up at Washtenaw Dairy for the Ice Cream. Glad the Bike is running well!
Good afternoon gentlemen .... have to try to remember the posts ... ... VODKA ... tis my pick for the hard stuff ... preferably bloody mary's .
Darn cool and chilly here ... oh well better than swealtering heat .
Bought another Williams Cab Forward ... with sound board installed and 2 more K-line skeleton log cars ... now I need to change the numers on one of the engines ....
Good night on the tardis last night .... dullcote came ... will be busy for awhile now .
Chief .... speaking of southern ladies and courtesy ... one time on the way to Florida we stopped at a restaurant in North Carolina ... knock out waitress .. fabulous southern bell ... she came to our table and asked " can I give ya somethin ? " .... I actually got tongue tied .... could'nt speak ... LOL . Oh lord the thoughts that were going through my mind in micro seconds ... yea I got in trouble with the wife .... OH DID I !!! Love that southern hospitality ...
If its not good old Kentucky bourbon it doesn't rate, Afterall the scotch producers buy the used bourbon barrels to age their scotch in.
Day one of vacation. Sunny, high sixties. Planted a couple of roma tomato plants. Had an argumnet with the string trimmer about running, ran it around the yard after I'd won. Have to change out the string trimmer head for the edger head tomorrow and neaten up the sidewalks.
The rest of the week is still in flux. I've got to go pick up my son in Kansas City tomorrow. He will be picking his car up to ferry it to Florida later in the week. My Michigan buddy called and canceled out on the Buick GS Nationals in Bowling Green this week, so I'll probably shorten that trip by a day on each end.
Not much with trains. I'm going to order a few bits and pieces for some repairs that have been stacking up.
Opinions are flying about favorite hard adult beverages. I like Old Overholt 100% rye whiskey. A shot of 'shine made by somebody who knows what they are doing is not bad either. Then again, I enjoy a chilli omelet and a chocloate milkshake for breakfeast too - my wife says that my sense of tate is not quite right.
Good Evening
Sun and 63 today, but it did not feel warm at all.
No breaking news today so I will grab the banilla and wait for the Tardis...S.J.

Howdy guys - 70 degrees in St. Louis today, perfect weather for mowing the lawn when I got home from work. Had a little talk with our son tonight about that bully incident last week. Turns out, they were sword fighting with wiffle bats and then one hit the other and the other hit back really hard - bruise etc. There were hurt feelings and tears and names called, so the real story is not about a bully per se, but two kids playing a game that got out of hand. Oh well, another learning opportunity.
Tardis is ready to fly - already have Doug, Kurt, Charlie, and Jim on board, be by to get the rest of you guys shortly. I think Ole Timer forgot to turn on his porch light, but we have him in the GPS
IIABSDISEI with temps rising to near 70. Played soccer and did weights at YMCA last night. Tried to watch "Dancing with the Stars" but d--n converter box kept locking up. I have a feeling people are going to be upset when the switch is made. I had the regular fare on the dining car this morning for breakfast and I hope everything else is "regular' (so to speak) for the day. Beacon will be lit. Work will be busy again. I hope everyone has a good day.
Done with the daily job searching (got an early start today). Did find two places to apply but I don't get my hopes up these days.
Just checked the Lionel shipping schedule, still indicates May 09 for Lionmaster Big Boy. Wonder if it is really going to ship this month. There is a legacy control unit for sale on the other forum that I might have made an offer on if the LMBB had shipped. No way I will buy one until after getting engine. The LMBB is the only Legacy engine I plan to buy so no need for control unit without it. I have had the money set aside for this engine since I pre-ordered it in February 2008. I made a commitment to buy this engine and intend to keep it but I have been considering canceling the order if delivery gets pushed out again.
Wish I had been brave enough to put some money into a couple stocks a few weeks ago. Would have made a lot of money. Oh well, I am not a gambler except for the occasional lottery ticket.
Morning all. Sunny and cool here - the farmers markets are sprouting again downtown. I love them. Hang in there, Greg. Don't give up! (I'm no gambler either.) Sir J, looks like the Blackhawks may be playing your bride's favorite Red Wings. Nice chatting with the guys last evening. My long day today with plenty 'o meetings and class tonight. .Mike C, I've got one of those converter boxes and an indoor antenna I'd like to experiment with - I think we live too far out from the cities for it to work.
Good Morning all!Was a busy day here yesterday and so far the same today. Doug, when people mention "Blackhawks" around these parts, they usually mean the ones that fly low at tree top level. We are in the flyway for them when heading over seas. Have some Chinooks on a regular basis too.
Got the TCA newsletter yesterday. Looking at some items to add to the collection....if she lets me
Hope to catch some train time today. Been reading "Classic Trains" and some others RMC, etc. Got some ideas for backdrop from them. For those who like the GG1, Classic Trains issue is a must.
Good Morning
Sun is up and feels warmer today without the wind.
I have been out to the barber already and noticed reg. gas between $2.29 and $2.35 going up as we knew it would but much less than last year so far.
Doug The Wings play Thursday nite so we shall see. I will be waiting at the station for you this PM. Lots of chat last nite with Brutus Charlie Doug and Kurt, we talked movies and trains
Have a great Tuesday...S.J.
