Fifedog ... yea they've got dozens upon dozens of those overpriced huge mansions built here they can't sell . What burns me is now the ones who overbought are getting severly reduced deals on payments for them . NOT FAIR .... we who invested wisely are going to pay through higher taxes for years to pay for them ! Don't feel lonely on not getting a new engine .... I've been bidding like crazy and watching folks pay overblown prices for engines everyday .... amazes me ... of course I would'nt want their plastic bill ... LOL . My wife works for citicorp and says all they keep doing is running them up = credit cards = and redoing their accounts to try to pay mega huge bills . You would'nt believe what some pay every month on them !

HAY HAY - THIS IS MY DAY!

Sir James - What, no Green Grits with those eggs and bacon?

Brent - Top of the day to ya! Happy B-Day

Doug - Does Christal Lake look like the Chicago river?

fife - No green Ol Mil. Will this do?

I have been told I look like this at the end of St Patrick's day. Thinking of using it for my Avatar. What do you think? I wander if the "other forum" would accept it?

I tried to but this Post in green but Preview showed it in black. Must be those Irish Gremlins.

Fife and OleTimer - What gauls me is they build these HUGE homes right up on the highway and then complain about the noise and demand noise barriers (unsightly concrete walls) be built to reduce the noise... umm... HELLO IT IS CALLED A HIGHWAY!!!!!!!! That's like building your house next to a railroad and complaining about trains passing by... ummm.... oh yeah my wife did that WhistlingConfusedSign - DotsSign - Oops

Happy St, Paddy's Day to all and Happy Birthday Brent.

Had a pretty good day at work, although we have had lots of mischief.  Nothing very serious but still too many discipline situations.

Made homemade pot pie for dinner on Sunday.  Not as good as my Mom's but still pretty fair for a first effort.  Had left overs for dinner.  Tomorrow is a late night. Job Fair so I will be busy interviewing new teacher candidates from about 4:00 until 7:30 or so.

Friday night is a PTA event, Saturday is birthday dinner/celebration for Mom and BIL so it will be a busy weekend.  Next weekend is a faculty bus trip to NYC, should be fun.

Last Saturday, just by accident I found a new train shop in Smithsburg, MD,  J & B Trains.  Smithsburg is just a little bit north of I-70 near Hagerstown.  We were looking for a place to get some lunch.  We found great little restaurant, on week days it is a diner that closes at about 2:00 PM,  and then on weekends, they re-open about 4:00 pm and it is rib joint.  Didn't go back to get any ribs but might have to go back there and check them out. Nice train shop, pretty good variety and owner was very personable.

Well, I am going to close for now.

Have a great day.

Mitch

Good evening

Wow what a great day,so many windbags in the south the southern breeze took us to the low 70s. I even went out for my walk today. I think that it was so nice I could have seen a box of instant grits and not flinched.

Patrick something in my breakfast was green but I can't remember if it was the eggs or the bacon :).

Maybe when Brutus gets here with the thingy we can go back and do today over. Banilla is ready  so come on in....S.J.

ShockGrumpy  And the one in Florida is not too far way either.  The long arm of the REB army can reach him too.  Laugh  Patrick, don't worry, something will get their "goat" in a few months.  Yankee skalawags.  Those that moved South are still CARPETBAGGERS.  Only thing is, the Princess is becoming a Southern Bell and not a Yank. Laugh  Look again big mouths.  Bob Keller, I'm calling Bergie on you.

Brutus, fire her up!  Happy Birthday Brent!  Happy St. Patrick's Day Y'All!  Brutus and Charlie, nice looking trains, look forward to more come SPF.  Regarding protecting our daughters, I think we worry because we know how we thought and what we did when we were that age....revenge.

Wife had told me over the phone that she was going to take the kids to the store so she could buy the son a new pair of sneakers.  When I got home, they had gone and bought all these clothes and accessories for the cruise....but honey, I have to save money for York....She don't careDisapprove

We had the new guy do two cases under our supervision today.  He did fine, but will need to get used to the routines.  I am looking forward to this guy taking some call.

Brent, from what I know about image stabilized lenses, you are better off with regular lenses, or having IS turned off when using a tripod.  When hand holding, the IS is much better.  I plan on keeping all my lenses.

God Bless,
Dennis

Brent....Did you know that now if you modify a highway such that it can carry more traffic and relieve congestion,  the homeowners use this to get noise barriers.  In other words, if you change out the shoulder to a buses only lane, the existing lanes can carry more traffic and that equals noise walls.

Good job, RT.
