I sent the following email to the chief as this is how I take it to be what happened.

"

I was joking and so were you at least I thought you were to me it all started as a joke from you on pot #4 when you changed the name to a Big Bowl of GRITS so I went the next day (took me that long to think it up) and changed the heading to Grits and sweet Ice tea Free zone as a come back to what I took as your joke. I have to admit I was kinda up set today when bob came about the changing of the titled as I saw it as just playing around again going back to your change. If I upset you I'am sorry I'm going to post this in the #5 coffee shop also as I feel if I can cause a problem in front of everyone I can appolagise in front of everyone.

As I see it we all were just having some fun and I guess it got carried away. Sorry

Bill

Well I see the #4 one has been totalally removed from the forum which probally is just as well.

Life's hard, even harder if your stupid  John Wayne

Since you all want to mess with the "sacred cow", The Coffee Pot, I am now posting on another forum.   Was funny at first.  The verbage was almost the same since it started yeers ago.   I changed it back and some wanted to keep on changing it.   Has nothing to do with North/South, Yankee/Rebs.

Chief - I checked the other forum but couldn't find your post. Is it 3-Rail O-gauge Train Form? What is the thread title? Could they have deleted it?

I like to keep up contact with my friends.

Apologies to Bob for any complaints he might have received on my behalf.

Doug Murphy - we have a place around here called Andy On Call, do they have those near you?  I hired them to fix some pieces of siding after a neighbor's rotten kid shot holes in it.  http://www.andyoncall.com/HomeOwners/locations.php?state=IL  Maybe they can fix your shingles?

Had a short talk with Sir James this afternoon, just got home a little while ago - need to grab some supper.  TTFN!

Dont post for a couple of days (week), and the whole pot falls apart ConfusedConfusedConfused

Some folks MAY forget, (notice the title of this post), That when you reply to a post the system copies the title of THAT post and brings it forward automatically.  (I replied to a post from page 9.)  Now, of course we know that IF you were so inclined, (AS the Chief AND RT did), You can edit the post's title.  Seemed rather innocent to me.

And, someone got their Feathers ruffled ?????  I find it all too hard to believe !!!!!!

The BAD THING is as a RESULT of having the other thread DELETED,  we LOST THE HISTORY !!!  Especially the SPF !!!    Historically, if I would go to an Avatar of someone that had posted in that thread, and look up previous posts from the profile.  I could bring up the thread.  Now we can't even do that.   TOO BAD

I guess we have all been sent to our rooms,  just have to eliminate all the light heartedness, I guess.  DisapproveAshamedAngrySad

EDIT -  There have been 2 other posts while I was compossing the above, and the title had already been changed.  Sorry, didn't mean to make is seem confusing.

Gang, I found out this guy can't type a message.  He lost all his fingers.  Uses a pointer to get pictures like this and then hits the proper keys to get them posted.  Right Al?

Good evening all,

Not as nice as yesterday, but got to 60, windy though. I ran my GG1 set for a little while today, added three other cars to it so have an eight car train. Had a c-scan today and the IV left me with a strange feeling for several hours, but not the warmth she said I would feel. seem ok now. Banila is ready so bring on the Tardis..S.J.

Hey Fife--

Doing well in the Heartlands, thanks for asking.  Still busier than a one armed paper hanger, let me tell you............ the next time I retire.............

We have the joy of having the princess here for 5 days, having grandchildren is so much better than being a parent, LOVE IT.  She and I have been running the wheels off of Thomas while the boss is at work plus we've had some great walks.  We will be heading over to Omaha in the next few days to the Henry Doorly Zoo, one of the best PLUS the Union Pacific headquarters Thumbs Up

While she sleeps I have been making the final reservations for youngest son and I for the Yellowstone road trip this summer, I really enjoy doing the leg work on this project.  Need to hit the Power Ball so we could do Alaska some year------guess I need to buy a ticket Smile  Then I could also buy that sail boat for the winter---oh to dream.  A big cruiser for you & family plus an Electra Glide  for  andjedevil!

Seems like a lot of drama on the "pot" lately, kinda silly IMO, but then again-----who asked me Laugh

Jon

So many roads, so little time.

SJ, hope all goes OK with you.  I got two excellent reports this AM.  Stress test was great and my labs from yesterday were great.

BTW: RT, no apology needed from you.  Not irritated with you.

There may be more to this story than what is evident.

Anyway, I made a comment about the SPF being removed.  NOPE, ITS STILL HERE, I WAS WRONG!  PHEW!!!!!  (There goes my mistake quota for the month!)

I'm confident it can all be worked out!!!!  No issue !!!

Chief......come back!  Jack has sunk into a deep depression since he read of your departure this afternoon.  He forgot to feed me and has been walking around mumbling something about grits and red eye gravy.  I think he hit the Jameson's bottle again and is hiding in this cabinet behind me.

 Good morning all:

Chief - Remember these words "Patrick is Back!"? Right back at ya. Good to hear from you.

I got us this morning and turned on the shower and it HISSED at me. No water. Fixed coffee with bottled water and sat down to check the threads. It will be light in a few minutes. Time to go out and check the pump.

More later

Morning.  I wasn't going anywhere.  Folks can pick on me so I pick back.  Buckeye and Chuck knew better.  Been here too long.  I even had Shake and Bake fooled.  Strange thing is CTT did not know you could change the heading except by the originator.  One good thing is we now have Al posting more than pictures.  Sun is out and going to be warm.  Could go fishing but got to go east to Mom's and deliver her Tax stuff to CPA.   Patrick, hope the pump is not gone.  Maybe a breaker has tripped.  If it is submergible and its the pump, that is not good.  Good luck.  Jack, plenty of GRITS and redeye gravy to go around.  Later.

Good morning all,

IIABSDISEI with temps near 50.  Another long day yesterday.  Did get one issue resolved at work, a minor one, but still some sense of accomplishment.  Wife babysat two of the grandkids in Indy so I picked her up after work and we went to Steak'n'Shake.  If there is a recession going on, you would not know it judging by that place.  We got there around 5 PM, it was almost full and when we left at 6PM, there was standing room only.  From 7 to 8 PM, I gassed up the truck, did weights, fixed lunch for today, got my breakfast items ready, and got ready for soccer practice.  We scrimmaged for over an hour.  I got one goal, but I never really felt "in sync" last night.  Did get a lead on a job for Lucas.  Watched part of "Lost" (soccer does take priority).  Will take it easy tonight and just go to the YMCA.  I am not sure what exactly has been going on and not going on with the pot(s), but I hope all is straightened out now.  Sometimes when you can only post once a day (normally) some of the ebb and flow of things are lost, and the little nuances of the conversations can be overlooked.  As that great philosopher Rodney King once put it, "Can't we all just get along?"   I had English muffins and cereal on the dining car for breakfast this morning.  IHEHAGD.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

He called yesterday and we chatted.  He is a great guy.  He got ignored when he posted and we should not have done that.  I see posts and are going to reply and forget it by the time I get to typing.  Mike C is a great guy but I forget to reply to him sometimes.  Others the same way.  Big bunch of guys on here now.  Jack does a good job of replying to most all.

I knew you weren't going anywhere... you get too much enjoyment out of razzin' the Yanks!

Got that right.  Too many good guys here.  The best thing was Shake and Bake.  Called him and told him I was mad.  Then I emailed him and we argued on email.  RT, sent me an email apologizing.  Nothing to apologize about.  Payback.
