IIABSDISEI with temps in the 60s. Passed the last big hurdle with the toe as we were able to remove the existing bandages without pain or bleeding and replace them with new ones. This is a remarkable contrast to the last time I went thru this type of experience (not that I would recommend anyone going thru the experience the first time!) Now all I have to face is catching up on three days of work :-( I had bacon and bisucuits courtesy of the "saucy wench" on the dining car for breakfast. Chief, prayers going out for your mom. Jack, regarding the toe nail fairy, I wish. Beacon is lit if some one else is driving. I hope everyone has a good day.

I know this is a depressing time of year for you, warmer weather and NO snow so I have an idea. If you leave right now and drive all night to Adel we could have breakfast in the morning and then leave for Denver for one last enjoyable weekend of snow and wind. Lots of accidents in western NE on i80 because of blizzard conditions, that would be another big plus for our trip. On our return trip we could do a slight northern detour and head north to the Fargo, ND area, we have family up there so we could probably help with sand bagging while it continues to snow. What say you? This is a wonderful opportunity

Not me. I was at Dr's office getting sinus infection meds. Then back by Sears to pickup my pickup. Sure rides and drives outstanding. Then got call. Seems Dr. at hospital gave Mom a drug for depression and etc. Told her not to do it as Mom did not have that. Dr, did it anyway. Well, made her dizzy. Been home about two hours and she fell and hit her head. Caretaker and I are both mad. Mom is back in the hospital. Had CT and is OK. New Dr. agrees not to give it to her. This Dr. told caretaker to tell me to stay home and get well. Don't bring things to hospital. Can't drive anyway as on Leviquine and on codeine to keep from coughing. Now to go back and reclinerize as can not stay awake. should see my typing too. Had to go back and correct a lot of spelling.

Doug, thanks for the information. I am going to pass. I have the command equipped Lackawanna set and it is very nice. This does look like a good deal, but at this stage, I will save my money for a Legacy engine and some figures, etc. for the layout...York, Here I come!
Chief, hope you and Mom get to feeling better. I have seen a few cases where we scratch our heads wondering why someone is on a particular medication. Good that you are involved enough to know better and to get another MD in there.
Found out my parents will be travelling to the South in May for a short visit. We will see them again in September on the cruise, but it will be nice to have them in town for a few days. Been a few years since they came down. Well, I have a early case, so I'll say good night.

Evening, men. Enjoyed a brief chat with the Chief and also Brutus. Everything done - carpet in, dishwasher fixed, roof repaired, cats found - I got pictures on the walls and cleaned all the rooms. I got $1.94 for the metal scrap from the tramp - LOL. And even fertilized and put down grub-killer. Boyt the aerators looked like they disc'd the lawn. Getting ready for work tomorrow. Listening to the NCAA games on the computer and going to run a few trains afer finishing the laundry.

Trying to catch up on the forum, read the last couple of pages but probably won't remember much as I write.
Chief, Hope you get well soon, don't want you to miss YORK again.
Worked on the grandson's HO mini-control panel today, got everything mounted and partly wired. Had to take time out to make dinner. The aluminum panel is only 3-1/4 X 5-1/4, but it has 12 toggle switches and 8 LEDs mounted on it. It mounts to a plastic mini-box.
We also got some much needed rain today, .3 inches with more on the way Saturday. Lawn looks greener already.
Now Lucy has been sick. Started throwing up. She ran around as if she was being puniched and no one was scolding her. Better now. Dennis, maybe the first Dr [a lady] and I did not communicate. I do not speak English with an accent from India. Watched the new version of 3:10 to Yuma and was watching Rush Hour 3. Going to give up. Typing and codeine do not mix. Was raining like a cow peeing on a flat rock. Wind was blowing too. Now calm and light rain. Later.
Wifey most disappointed that the CA boys didn't take her out shopping. They were in hiding. Out of revenge, one by one she raided Ray, DougDG, and DonB's houses. Cut wires on their layouts. Then loaded a few of their prime train pieces into her carry-on pilots' case and beat a hasty retreat. Just caught a flight out of John Wayne to San Franchico. Then catches the red eye back to Boston. Wants me to pick her up at 6:50am at Boston Logan with the dog. I can't wait to see the loot!!!!

Jack, So you think, you got a pile of stuff coming in huh??? I'm surprised you hadn't shown her the difference between MPC and MTH ! And here I thought I would be lucky to get $1 each for some of those cars. I was really surprised when she asked if she could pay with a credit card, but that was OK. ((Possibly going to meet Ray this weekend at a train meet, he also mad mention of a Sale at a Big Train Store. We will do fine, I had a LOT of MPC stuff, I had never thought they would appreciate in value, Thanks Jack).
Chief, Sure hope You, your Mom, and Lucy get to feeling well soon!! I would suggest checking out the grits, sounds suspcious to me. Also, its obvious to me you are not eating enough CHOCOLATE. I would suggest you start adding it your daily diet for medicinal purposes.
Frustrating news! I'm going to need to add another show to our schedule, however the bad news is I need to get a HAM License, UGH !!! Did the pretest for a Technician Level, (entry level), did fine with the electronic portion, but I've got to memorize all those darn frequencies, and band widths. No fun !!!!
Good News !!! I decided to play with the DCS Session recording capability. Boy is that ever cool !!! After having DCS for over 2 years and just getting around to it. I have programed various switches, so could just select one button and a variety would change. That was good ! But the Session Programming is wild.
I set up a 3 car train on a siding, and another 4 cars on a different siding. Then brought the first train out, turned on some accessories, ran the train through a reversing loop. Dropped the cars off on a parallel siding, then picked up the other cars on other siding. Cleared the main line, then brought out another engine from the Engine Yard to pick up the first cars dropped off. Took the first train back to through the reversing loop, and parked it in its original position. Then with the 2nd engine took the cars around and dropped them off where the first cars had originally been parked. Then took the 2nd engine back to the Engine Yard and parked it. During this time I had various accessories operating, and sounds from the engines. Finished the recording and saved it all as 1 session. Played it back and it was AWESOME !! Now the other capability is, IF you return the engines to their starting locations, you can not only play that session back, but ALSO put it in a LOOP mode, which will repeat the operation over and over. COOL, EH ?? Love IT !!! The length of a single session can be a maximum of 90 minutes in duration, or 500 commands. I have no idea how many sessions you can record.
(I have my switches and accessories connected to the DCS AIU, and the switches in wired in parallel to the control panel, next will try with TMCC in the Session. IF that works then Legacy.)

Tough situation for a niece & nephew in Fargo, ND--the dike around their neighborhood is at 43'--newest forecast calls a crest of 45' this weekend. They have shipped the kids & one vehicle up to Grandpa & Grandpas yesterday and emptied their basement, they want to stay but will leave when the evacuation horn goes off. This has never happened in their neighborhood.

It is cloudy but mild in SE Indiana with temps in the 50s. Back to work and already got one task done, which is more than I expected to get done today. Krump, welcome to the pot. It has a bunch of friendly (if slightly unusual)people gathered here. Basically took it easy yesterday, but did get one item resolved favorably with the IRS as far as Lucas' taxes were concerned. Been watching old Buffy DVDs. I had the regular fare on the dining car this morning for breakfast. I hope everyone has a good day.

Another warm day in sunny south Florida, should get up to 78 today, with a chance of rain.
Went to Lantana on tuesday and bought an MTH Amtrac engine(model PF-40, cab # 452) with PS-2, looks good with my Atlas Amtrac passenger cars. Works great, but had a little problem with adding it to my DCS handheld unit, had to add it three times. First time the DCS unit said it can't locate the engine, second time it added it to my other engine and both engines started at the same time. Deleted it and added it again this time with only the Amtrac engine on the track, worked better but still started up both engines at one time after putting my oldeer engine back on the track. Had to delete both engines and add each one in separetly and one at a time on the track and that solved the problem.
Working on my other train layout the H.O. one and it is rather tuff to add switches where you want them with very little room on the layout table. Now I see why people come back to O gauge trains
The R.V. sprung a leak at the water pump last week then two days later I noticed the hot water tank leaking. $100.00 for the pump & filter, $600.00 to replace the hot water tank. That thing is eating me up financially, so I will try to sell it in early November. Not sure how the financial market will be then but hopefully better. Did the water pump already but waiting on the water heater tank to come in, had to be ordered.
Would have been on here sooner this wek but I had my share of alligator problems to fight.
