Good Morning all,

NE Ohio is cool at 18 deg. We had some snow last night, about 2 to 3 inches. I will have to go out and clean the drive soon.

This is our last day of our vacation. We have to cover the office between the holidays, which should make it an easy 3 days.

Buckeye – glad that you have your power on. Maybe it will stay on now.

Pick of the Day

all be safe

Sorry to hear about all these problems out east. Hope the power is on. Successfully hung the backdrop - and I must say it looks great. Will try to add photo. Also got the pylon airplanes hooked up - will try to work on the semaphore today.

Hello Buckeye,Chief,Ben,Tom,and Jim "Santa" Duda. Hey Jim.I thought you were going to deliver your presents in a Corvair. The mouse that runs the alternator must have gone on strike for more Wisconsin Cheese.Maybe the Gang at Ctt will make a special delivery for the Corvair mouse of Texas or Maybe both the Corvair and the Mouse are not used to freezing temps and Snow.[:)] I hope all had a wonderful holiday and will have a wonderful and Happy New Year.......................Keith.

Morning Folks,
Buckeye, glad to hear that your power is back on.

Still frozen here, but we're starting to thaw pretty well.

I'm having my wisdom teeth taken out tomorrow morning, so I'm going to be eating as much as I can today[:)].

Hope that you all are well! Have a good day.

Torp - I would have used the Corvair to deliver presents but it's such a damn fine lookin' ride that people would constantly stop me and ask for one as a present! But on the positive side, it is so fast and quiet that I could have completed my rounds much faster! And since it can go where even the SnowCats fear to tread, I could have even delivered presents to OHIO!

Maybe next year...

Going to be a beautiful day here. High in the 60's.

Daan - glad you enjoyed the Polar Express. My son and I went to see it just last week. We thought the theater sound effects were excellent.

Ben - as Chief said - ouch! - good thing you can go on-line as you will not be talking much tomorrow (at least not in recognizable form).

Buckeye - no heat - does that mean the power went out again?

Regards and Happy New Year to all!
Roy

Ben,

I had all 4 extracted simultaneously (many years ago)

-----

Ran BB the beagle yesterday. She chased rabbits for hours. As darkness and chill descended over the forest I had to carry her out, as she'd have been running all night.

Got some more work done on layout but mostly out buying power tools--which you can never have too much of.

Glad to here from BB again [notice I did not mention her master [;)]]. OHIO is melting away fast. That is good. We do not need YANKEE stuff around here. One Yankee told me that he wanted to share since we sent him warm southern breezes in the summer. Could not understand why we gripped so much when he shared his cold and snow as he didn't gripe when we sent those warm breezes. HUMMM.

Chief,

I'm usually covered with scratches from thorny brambles when I chase after her hunting rabbits. I've torn some good clothing too. But the hunt is addictive to the both of us and we don't harm anything, as the rabbits are too fast for her. Maybe eventually I'll shoot a hare or two.

I don't know if I told you what happened several weeks ago. BB followed a skunk around for about 5 minutes. Apparently, the good-humored skunk didn't consider her a threat. Maybe the beagle's kind eyes and big flappy ears made the skunk laugh?

Obviously, Ohio is taken care of by a tougher Santa Clause that what they have in Texas and he drives a Jeep, not a bottom out in six inches of snow Corvair.[:D]

The power at work went out Friday/Saturday sometime and until this morning no one checked the floor I work on to see if there was any heat when it came on again yesterday. It was 53 in my office this morning. I went home.

"Before it really gets deep
And censored out with a BLEEP -
When the going gets tough,
And really gets rough,
A Corvair will out pull a JEEP!

And it doesn't look boxy or square
At it, the sexxy girls stare...
So if you own a Jeep
Go ahead, cry and weep -
The car of CHOICE is Corvair!!!"

Doesn't perennial presidential spoiler Ralph Nader like Corvairs?

Oh whoops, my mistake.
He says they are, "Unsafe At Any Speed".
(I guess that includes stuck in the garage.)

That's easy! All the trains work fine - pissAnt table is full, can't add any more junk to it, motorbike restoration completed, all chores finished, R/C competition doesn't crank up until the Phoenix Winternationals in mid-January, AND I'm on holiday until Jan 4th. What else is there to do...? (wink)

Morning gang. COLD here but warming. OHIO still on the ground. Hope it all goes away today. Tom should be back to the dirty W word. [:D] Me, I'm just hanging out. Can not drive yet and pull on baot or the Ranger would be in the lake Thursday, Friday and Saturday. To be in the 70's Saturday. Can't even take the Crappie Jon to the pond behind the house. [:(] This is not good. Oh well. Have a good day and God bless.

Good morning all!

Not much to report here today. Warming continues - but new front coming from west will cause "unsettled" (weathermans term - whatever that is) weather Wed through Sat. Apparently the predictions say the front will park itself over us Thurs/Fri.

Happy New Year and be safe all!

Twenty four hours with power [:D][:D][:D][:D]
Now, they are saying that as the ice melts off of the tree branches and they rebound upward, there is a chance that they again will knock out a wire and we will not have power. [:(][:(][:(][:(]

Buckeye, welcome to the ice storms. From now on, everytime there is freezing rain, you'll run and hide in your closet. [not really but you will cringe] Wonder if Dougsagrump is swiming. Have not seen him on here lately. San Diego is having big rains. That is flooding and mud slides for Doug. Hope not. Hey, the OHIO is melting away. Might get to walk today. Sidewalk is covered with ice from the DOT running the scraper so fast it threw it that far. Even damaged some mail boxes and knocked some open [mail had spilled out of some].

Well, I'm home and not hurting too badly. My dad was nice enough to let me use his laptop[:)], so I've got internet downstairs. Not as fast as upstairs(only an 11 bts/second connection), but it works.

Hope that all of you all are well!
