Rainy Christmas morning in Roger's Corners, Ohio.  Smile [:)]  Chuck, why can't people find Roger's Corners on the map?  In fact, I don't know how long we can still call it Roger's Corners.  The county is removing the corners and putting in a round-about.  Will be called Roger's Circle Back and Around after construction.

I'll be changing my signiture at the bottom of my postings this week.  I think everyone who is not a Florida fan will like the looks of it.

Hope all are having a great Christmas Day

Good morning CTT!  Merry Christmas!

Things finally slowed down a little, all the wrapping cleared away and watching Christmas Vacation!  There is a shot of a holiday train display at the store in the beginning I never noticed before.  Kids are playing video games, Moe and Joe are on the layout and I took a pic - might try to post it later, gotta get on the desktop and all.

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

Hope everyone had a great day.  This old man is TIRED, kids and grandkids have all gone home.  Now for a relaxing beverage and then hit the hay.  Did run the candy loaded christmas for the granddaughters & the soon to be four year old loved her Rudolph Train.  I got a gift certificate to my favorite LHS and also one to favorite local restaurant, among other things.

The town of Roger's Corner's must be a lot like Sciotoville.  Sciotoville is the name of the town where I live but it was incorporated into Portsmouth years ago.  Sciotoville does not show on the map either.  OK, so what is Roger's Corner's near?

Part of Columbus but they don't want to admitt it. Tongue [:P]  I would really say it is part of Gahanna.  Great place to eat there.  They are Southern as they offer SWEET ICE TEA. Approve [^]Wink [;)]

Pulled up track and actually turned around some of the sidings.  Trying to fit that big rotary coal tipple in.   With John S's suggestion, I will run the tipple siding through the wall.  Looks like it just will fit height wise.  Need some more straight track.  Got one grain siding looking like a snake to store the cars until I get straights.  Hope those 072 switches come in from MTH.

Hope all had a great day.  Goooood night and God bless all.

OK, I'm pretty sure I've been through there a time or two.  My aunt lived in Gahanna, and I get to Columbus every couple of weeks where I take classes.  Ever come south to the river?

Hello ya all from a dull cold -1 Stockport,

I'm picking up on your lingo, a bit! Anyway John (jefelectric) our equipment comes as standard with spike/surge preventors on all cables both power and Com's. Additionally the regulations (mandatory) issued by the Institution of Electrical Engineers has sections dedicated to the protection of electronic equipment against all forms of interference by outside and internal components, with specific requirements for the prevention of damage by lightning and such. There seems to be little that can be done about hackers and their ilk, apart from the usual commercial software. My problem is the ignorance of the operator causing crashes, lock outs and other incompetence related glitches.

Sorry to lose you Spankybird, but welcome to the new guys. I only operate on one other forum (British Railway Operations). I find that this one makes enough demands to keep me quite busy.

I think I will try to post a photo' again!

Good morning, all.

I hope everyone had a pleasant, happy, and healthy Christmas. Our living room looks like a toy store exploded in it!

Thank you all for the Happy Birthday greetings! I just finished reading them all. Another year older, but no wiser, I'm afraid.

We had a small gathering at our house on my birthday, and I was so happy to see my brother Paul, who showed up unexpectedly. I haven't seen him in years. My wife made a great prime rib dinner and we all enjoyed a wonderful meal.

Christmas Eve, we had dinner at my wife's cousin's home. I am happy to report that I have turned him into an O gauger! He had a small Christmas Garden set up and was running a train. He's a huge Red Sox fan, so I got him an MTH Red Sox boxcar for his train. He loved it!

Then yesterday, Christmas Day, we had more guests over for a turkey dinner. All in all, a very fattening weekend!

Have a great day!

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....

It's a cold, rainy 42 degrees. Maybe a little snow flurries today. Going down to 39. Yuck weather is here.

Hello to Jim Duda...Nice to hear from you. Keep posting.

Today is a normal day. Errands and chores to do. We had a very quiet Christmas day. Nice dinner. Good conversations with friends. I will try to get a little work done on the layout today. This afternoon has a few hours for me to do that. Need to start building the bridge supports.

Time for the Dining Car. Points west of here are really cleaning it out.

Y'all have a great Tuesday.

Good Morning from a wet and rainy Central PA.  Temps in the 40's today.  Next week is to be above normal with cloudy and some more rain.  Not your tipical weather for last week of December.

Slowly recovering from Christmas.  Today on money counting team at church.  Will take a while as we had 5 services on Sunday.  I had the sound system at the 8:00 PM service and I don't think there was an empty seat.

After I get home today the grandson and I are going to start some renovations to the layout to change the minimum radius on the main loop from 042 to 054.  That is as big as I can go without major real estate negotiations with the management. Smile [:)]

All have a great day.

Sign - Ditto [#ditto]

Morning Y'all, have an early case today and then it is back to the family.  Living room is, well, unlivable as all the toys are built up.  I will have to gather some older ones and pass them on to some kids with less.  I finally got to open up the Lackawanna F3 set and the passenger cars.  I will have to change the couplers for the tighter curves, but they sure do look good there.  I also got a gift certificate to The Train StationBig Smile [:D], can hardly wait to use it.  I am leaning towards a NYC Hudson, perhaps with TMCC.  I also need to pick up a Wabash engine to go with the MTH madison set that was given to me.

My parents had been here last week and brought me a set of large photos from NW that the NW had sent to me many years ago.  I will have to see if I can scan and post.  Anyway, have a great day.

Morning all.  John B, Jim Duda.  He was a regular.  Mainly drops in around Christmas as he and his son race radio controled airplanes.  HE's a "nut".  Real enjoyable guy.

John B and Nic, my SIL gave me a shirt for Christmas.  Rather expensive.  It reads Tattersall by Barbour.  "This distinctive English fabric is derived fromcloth from the village of Kersey, Suffolk, where it has been made since the fourteenth century.  Traditionally used for horse blankets, rugs and saddle cloths, it became synonymous with Tattersalls, the famous bloodstock auction house [founded in 1773].  This bold checkcloth became popular amoungst the sporting faternity for riding coats, waistcoats and the lining of hunting jackets."   You all familiar?

Sun is out!!!!!!  Got to get moving.  Have a great day all.

Sorry about that, Chief! Big Smile [:D]

We had a very nice Christmas together. My son's girlfriend and parents came over for Christmas dinner with us. Her dad, Mike, a retired air force officer, was immediately drawn to the Christmas layout and the 2037. Turns out he has a nice O gauge collection himself! He has collected some more modern Lionel and MTH engines along with track and rolling stock. He still has his Santa Fe F-3s from the 50's! By the time they left last night, he was planning on redoing a spare bedroom and building a layout. He's not into scenery at all, just train running.

Of course, I volunteered to help. Big Smile [:D]
