Good morning all,
It is sunny and mild in SE Indiana with temps heading to the low 80s today. I visited with the family yesterday before and after the shower. The one daughter may have a job lined up in Virginia, which is good news. One of the son-in-laws helped me with the computer yesterday, explaining all the virus protection that was set up. He also did a minor upgrade on the CPU, boosting it to a 1 Gig processor, which makes it a little faster. I have had very little train activity recently, but maybe that will change soon. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Good Morning from Blueberryhill....
It is a sunny 46 degrees and going up to a sunny 76 degrees. Beautiful.
Today, I have a few errands to run and I would like to enjoy the weather while it still is nice enough. Hate to be inside on a day like today. I spent a lot of time in a factory, when the sun was shining. Now, I can enjoy it.
I've got to sit down and work up a new track plan, for the future expansion. I have learned a lot from you folks on the Forum and will try to create an interesting plan. I have a lot of time. Then, I can figure out how much track and lumber I will need. Good winter job.
" All Aboard " for the Dining Car. Breakfast is served.
Y'all have a great Monday.

John, yeah the motion picture association gave the film a "PG" rating because it mentioned "God" in a good way. Go figure! It has raised a lot of questions about the MPA and how they answer to no one. They have no accountability. On the good side of things, it did cause a senate investigation and perhaps some more publicity to get folks to see the film. It is the type of film that some just need to see. I have not been able to yet, we have not seen a film in over a year when we arranged a baby sitter. We plan to do it soon.
Take care and have a great day,
Dennis

Good morning from a warm Chicago where temps should rise into the 80s. Too bad I'm at work. How 'bout them Bears - they're playing like Laz's 800 lb. variety and helping me forget the Sox. I'm looking forward to seeing that movie too, Dennis. Heard some discussion on our local radio too - we must all listen to the same syndicated stations. Well, I'm an uncle - my youngest brother and his wife had their baby last night - Hannah. First child in the family apart from ours.Nice work, Buckeye!

Top of the Mornin to ya Doug!
Congrats on the Uncle thing, that is wonderful. I heard that the only place that sold more tickets for Facing the Giants apart from our home town theater (Which has been sold out most shows), was Chicago (More screens). It is amazing what can be done if you let God work.
CONGA DOUG, spoil her.
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

Jim F, If you have them in your area check out Party City. I picked up a couple of items to add to the "Halloween Train" . They had a small bag of skulls, about 2/3 to 3/4 the size of a marble, great load for a dump car. Also got a bag of what they call pop-ups, small character heads( frankenstien, pumpkin, bat and mummy) that will pop-up from a suction cup, but I am going to use them kinda like bobbleheads on a flatcar. In the up position the spring is not to stiff so they should wobble and move as the train moves. Maybe I should dig out an old truck with a bent axle to accentuate the wobble.
Later All, must get back to the LABOROTORY !!!!!!!

Make mine Buttermilk Fried Chicken with smashed potatoes and milk gravey! YumYum, when's supper ???
Almost forgot the biscuits and corn on the cob.
Yummy!
Hey, Jim - yeah, I was commiserating with your earlier post, saying the same thing happens to me - sorry, couldn't remember who posted it - I liked the old software better where you could go back some and see what you were replying to (That to which you were replying - sorry!)
A real tragedy has happened in our county this morning. If you have not heard about the Amish School shooting, I have posted the link to local TV station. This happened about 30 miles from my home and about 5 miles from the TCA Museum.

John, indeed it is a sad thing. Last I heard was 6 dead and 3 young girls in critical condition. I have not heard too much on details as to the shooter and the reasons. The news did bring up a discussion about the simple life, hard working folks the Amish, but not the race of modern day life. Sometimes I would like to go to that kind of living for a time. It seemed that they were not touched by the ugliness of modern society, I guess that has changed.
God Bless,
Congratulations...... Uncle Doug.....future train person.

So many roads, so little time.
It is illegal to transport GRITS into beautiful Ohio.
There is a sign at the borders stating " NO GRITS allowed."
Good Evening Everyone ! I read it here first about that shooting near John's, boy, that's awful. We aren't too far from an Ahmish community here either. One just south of us & then there's the one in Middlefield Oh. that's real well known. I'm watching about it right now on the news.
Cogratulations UNCLE DOUG !!
Looks like us Yanks will have our hands full after Thursday !! I know why too !! That Rascal is mad cause he can't make our big OTTS train show this Saturday !! That's ok, we'll head em' off at the pass !! Chuck : get the plane fired up !! It's that time again !!
Hope everyone has a nice evening !!

I will announce it when they get to your homes. You will never know they are there until I give the info. Hint: some will be delivered and happily received, while others will buy them and bring them home with a smile.
Jim F - I did not use glove with Simple Green Concentrate.

Hello All! Congrats Uncle Doug! Just make sure that young one stays away from Grits. They need to come in boxes with warning labels! The Chief will probably use a Cream of Wheat Semi to sneak the Grit's into Ohio to fool the Highway Patrol & Homeland Security. We'll need Laz's 800 lb Bear to help Chuck patrol the border & watch for Cream of Wheat Semi-Truck's. Take Care all.
