Hey guys - been busy working this morning (overtime) and it is HOT in Arnold and St. Louis.  Had a little rain last night here and there, but not at my house.  Went to Michaels and picked up the Dead Man's Mine set for $37.50.  Didn't think to try and get the 40 percent on top of that - not that smart!  There are a bunch more sets I want.  I think I want that Mausoleum now that I took a better look - did they pay the Phantasm guys a royalty on that one?  (anyone?  I doubt it, but that's what it looks like to me --  Just needs some silver balls flying around and an ice cream truck).

Thankful that Tom, Keith and Chief are okay and hope things get worked out fast.  Praying for Lucas and Chuck to recover, and for the new baby to come already.  Praying for Dr. John and his mom too.

Love the Cat in the Hat hat, Mike!

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

I know that Jim's Train Shop in Homer, PA carries MTH.  Do they also carry Lionel or Williams?  Do they have their own web page?

Great photos John.  I remember when I was a kid riding in the neighbors Chris Craft.  Smooth riding boat.

There are still lodges in Canada that use wooden boats because they last.

Buckeye : thanks & another interesting thing about some of the bigger wooden boats is a friend of mine has to have his slung in the water every spring to make the wood swell back up & constantly pumped out, then it's ok !  That's of course an old cabin cruiser & takes it out of the water every fall. The fiberglass bosts need so much less maintainance, no wonder wood ones are rare now.

Thanks, John

Afternoon all.  Got fish food for the pond fishes.  A few sprinkles.  Some storms in other counties.  Think they blew the forcast.  Who let that Yankee with the funny hat in.  Long visit with Miss Edna and the gang.  One guy came in and could not get his Lionmaster SD80 to smoke good.  Gave him the hints.  Hope he understood.  So humid, everytime you walk out, you get wet.  I usually drive around with the truck windows down and get the fresh air [even if it is warm].  AC been on in the truck all day.  Now they say next week will be in the 100's for heat index. Disapprove [V]  Frankie and I are to go to Mom's and do some outside work on her house. Shock [:O]Dead [xx(]  Only good thing will be eastern NC bar-be-que. Approve [^]  Later

Good evening all,

It was hot and sunny with temps in the 90s today in SE Indiana.  Took the 1st Armored Lawn Mower Division down to the daughter's to mow the yard.  Since the second in command (Lucas) is on medical leave, I handled the entire operation myself.  Fortunately, my daughter and her sister-in-law had done the mine-sweeping (sticks) portion of the task first.  I got back in time to see the car show in Greensburg as well.  Lucas is doing somewhat better today, but he still sleeps a lot, which is good.

Chief, I am glad you did not have an explosion at your place.  To all the people with flood issues, I hope all dries out soon.   I hope the group has an end to all the bad events that have been occurring.  I hope every one had a good day and a better tomorrow.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Hope she has a nice trip.  We love the tourists around here.  They keep our taxes from being higher.  And a bonus is that most of the restaurants stay open all year and we have a nice selection of places to go to eat once the kids go back to school.  Fall really is one of the best times to visit.  Cooler days  and beautiful foliage too.

csxt30/John - Wow those are some beautiful boats.  Seeing the boat photos reminded of the movie On Golden Pond.

Mitch, thanks ! It's funny you mentioned that movie, cause I thought of it too, when I took this picture, but didn't post it, thinking, I didn't want to post too many off topic pictures. This boat has an inboard motor & is very old, but that's all I know.

 Evenin' All,

Well the temps have really dropped here, finally, but the air is so thick with humidity everthing feels damp. Come bedtime the A/C is going on to dry out the house a little and try to make it a little better for sleeping, unfortunately don't have a dehumidifier.

Need some help guys. Spent most all afternoon looking for a CSX caboose, Lionel 6-17632 the blue/gray model not the mow orange, but have had no luck at all. I've tried most all of the big box e-tailers that I can think of, the ones we see in CTT. If you can think of any possible sources please pass them along. Thanks Bow [bow]

PS. Love them old wood hulls. To paraphrase Allan Jackson cant beat how they ride.

Thumbs Up [tup]

Good Morning from Blueberryhill...........

It is a foggy 74 degrees. Going up to a sunny 89. Humid. Rain never happened yesterday. I guess it all went North. They have a lot up by the Lake. Saw some video on Painesville and Eastlake. Bad.

Tom......How are you doing??  Saw the pictures you posted. Lots of water. I hope all is OK.

John (csxt30)....... I liked the boat pictures. Those old speed boats are neat.

Well, no one has posted any Sunday Photo Fun pictures yet. Guess it's too early. Everyone sleeping in. Today will be an easy day. Have a few things to do outside and relax in the shade. It's gonna be hot today.

Pretty soon it will be August 1st. The summer is going quickly. You have to take the time to "smell the roses".  Have fun.

Off to the Dining Car and begin the day.

Y'all have a great day.

Glad none of you Buckeye folk got carried downstream by the flood and Chief's house didn't blow up. Man, a lot of unwelcomed excitement this week.

We sure could use some rain as the showers have been passing us by. I'm out watering the garden again.

Since we've been getting some rain recently I decided to put down some fertilizer.  I did the yard and about a third of the front lawn before the humidity started to get to me.  As soon as the sun crested the trees the temp. shot up into the lower 80's and the humidity must have gone to 100%.

I still continue to "plank" the barn I have on the work bench for the layout.  It almost seems a shame to put the effort in just to punch some holes and rip off a plank here and there to make it look run down.  With the house I'm going to try to make it look like its been on fire by using a torch and then air brushing some soot on, hope I don't totally destroy it.  I will have the torch in one hand and a spray bottle of water in the other.

Hello everyone,

I did have a very good time down the shore, but I didn't get to go fishing, Jay wasn't down. I was going to log on when I got home Monday, but my mom's laptop crashed, so I didn't have internet access for 2 days. When she brought it home on Wed, she thought that the internet wouldn't work on it because they installed new software on it, but I hooked the DSL line up, and now the internet works.

My birthday is tomorrow, and I will be turning 16, at 8:45 am. I already got my main present, one that I have been wanting, and XBOX360. I got the good system, with the Hi Definition outputs, the wireless controllers, the hard drive, and 2 games so far. The other model had wired controllers, and no Hi Definition outputs, or a hard drive.

Talk to you guys later,

Colin
