Hi all!

Jim - For Scout night we got 4 Rangers tickets in the nose bleed upper deck for $7 each. But parking was $10 (with a nearly 1 mile walk) and $75 for food. The Rangers definitely came out ahead. I note there is rarely a line for food. $4.50 for "nachos" (read that a hand full of poor quality corn chips with Day-Glo orange chees whiz). As they lost Sat night 7-0, walk up is something quite easy to do here (that is walk-up after paying $10 to park 1 mile away).

Spanky - glad your B-Day was lots o' fun!

Mowed and weed-wacked the lawn yesterday afternoon while it was still cool here. Nice breeze made the task not too unpleasant.

No rain in sight and will be warming to 89 here by Saturday.

LAZ - you still going to York?

Hope Chucks procedure went well yesterday.

TMCC - nice work. Keep it up.

Have a good one all!
Roy

`Tarzan' Chimp Celebrates 74th Birthday
By Associated Press
Mon Apr 10, 3:42 PM

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. - Cheeta the chimp, star of a dozen "Tarzan" movies in the 1930s and 1940s, celebrated his 74th birthday with sugar-free cake.

Although healthy and active, Cheeta is diabetic.

Chief, Thanks for the update on Chuck. He's on my prayer list. Sorry I was out of the office when you called.

Roy, glad to know Cheeta is still kickin' (swinging?). I used to enjoy watching Tarzan when I was a kid. I usually though Cheeta had better lines than Johnny Weismueller.

Chief - thanks for the update on Chuck. Tell him my family's prayers are with him. Let us know if he would appreciate any direct calls from others. As others have said - I do not want to bother someone that is not feeling up to conversations.

Thank you for the update Chief.

Well, I finished some more details for my Garden Railroad. It is a box of old plastic wheels, some axles, and truck assemblies.

YEA!!!!

Today the Mrs. bought material for the skirt around the layout.

She must be talking about my trains at work with the girls that have younger children. The other day she asked for a copy of the OGR issue that had the article on my previous layout and had also taken my construction progress photo-log in.

Hope she keeps on this kick so it doesn't take forever getting the skirting made.

Chief, thanks for keeping us informed on Chuck's condition, wish him well when you talk to him.

I say, give him a call. Especially those who might find they are in visiting distance. He actually sounded better than he has in a long time. Says he feels better. I just made my call short.

CHIEF thanks for the update, I 'll try and give CHUCK a call later.

ROY, I'll be there on Friday with my wife. What hall are you going to be at?
Got to find out how many OTTS GIZ are going and get a group pic or something?

ROGER is that a mini skirt your wife is making you?

Off today have to take off the snowblower, change oil in both tractors. Sharpen blades and give the one tractor to my principal to use, need the BROWNIE points, for the summer.
Later.

Another day, and gas prices are going through the roof in Central Ohio. I guess I must have missed the news about the need for higher prices due to the hurricane hitting the oil rigs in the gulf, the well fires in Kuwait, the refinery explosion in Texas, the sinking of all the oil tankers in the Atlantic, the major pipeline explosion in Kentucky, or the Exon Tiger being pregnant.

I have been doing extensive track testing of the expanded layout. Everything is going as planned. Still need more power and more feeders, but that is to be expected.

I wonder what the Chief has planned for the two year aniversary of the pot? [swg]

Looks like rain today in Buckeyeland, but it's warm.

I sure wish I could join many of you at York. Maybe another time.

Just a few more weeks and I will be heading north to fish in Canada. Can't wait.[:)]

Good Morning All from NE Ohio

where the temp is 59 and going up to 70 with overcast skies and light rain in the area.

OTTS Meeting this Friday, April 14, at the Museum. Anyone wishing to join us can e-mail me for directions, or see www.wrmrrm.shutterfly.com Note date change

Buckeye – gas prices are now $2.85 and some stations as high as $3.05 per gallon. Gee, I wonder what gas prices would be if we stop shipping them food and turned off there water making plants [?] Maybe someone in Congress should think of this [?]

Laz- sad to say, I personally won’t be going, but at least 6 other OTTS members will be at York.

Pick of the Day

All be safe

Good to hear Chuck is doing better.
For all you Sox fans, my bride has a catalog from Hawthorn Village, it has a whole village set on the Sox and also has a On30 train set if you are interested.
Another thing they have is a tribute to the great Railroads that has a HO engine for several of the great railroads of days gone by. If they only came in O.

Beautiful day in NC. Got some things to do and more gardening. Hope to hit the pond this afternoon too. Want to check on Chuck and give him a boost. Have a good one and God bless.

Today is a day off, and so is the rest of the week, so I might go railfanning tomorrow, or maybe even hit my hobby shop.

Good morning from Central PA. Beautiful day here.

Our best wishes and prayers to Chuck, get well soon.

Off to do a little shopping with my daughter and the grandkids, will also hit a couple of train shops.

Laz, Sounds like you are in the SPRING mode. I did a little outside work yesterday afternoon. Set up the fountain and got it running and placed a couple of hose reels. We seeded a spot where our lightining damaged tree was removed last yeat so we will have to keep that watered for a while.

All have a great day,

Good Morning All:

A little overcast in Chicagoland today, but the temperature remains very mild so I cannot complain. I am glad to hear everyone is doing well.

I hope to pick up some miscellaneous pieces of lumber today to be able to construct the small layout table I had described a couple of days ago. I will try to post some pictures of my construction ability ([D)])

Regards,

John

Clearing up in downtown Chicago - I have got to get some lighter clothes out of the closet - it's warm this morning and windy. Opened up all the storm windows late last night at home. I wonder who I called when trying to reach Chuck at area code 404. Rest seems to be doing my wife a world of good. Might wander over to Union Station at lunch.

I ordered a 671 from him in December and waited 2 or 3 weeks for it to finally show up. I'll keep my mouth shut until the package arrives.

Last night I started painting the den. The Chief would love the color - Nantuckett Gray. But my wife is working tonight, so tonight is a train night.

Gorgeous day out there. Mid 70's and sunny. I'm gonna take the kids for a long walk when I get home and tire them out.

Afternoon all,

You are right about the gas prices. What is going on? Am I the only one who thinks this is price gouging or is there a good reason for the increase? Remember, I said GOOD reason.

Leaving the office in a few minutes for the procedure they are going to do on my eye for the macular degeneration. I am glad that they caught it early and that there is a process to help stop the disease.

Have a good day everyone.

Tom, What was wrong with the reasons I stated previously? [:D][:D][:D] I did forget one reason and that is they are making the summer blend for just us folks in Ohio who live in counties where the white tailed beaver carp is found. [:D]
