Laz, glad to hear about your Berk. I'm trying to honor my wife's request to stay out of the basement until we get our long-term radon test back. It's hard. So I think I'll bring things up to work on. Beautiful sunny warm day here - today is the big 'stop everything to prepare for the dance' day for my daughter and wife. I just got back from church. Chief, I hope you don't have 'walking' pneumonia. John, how do you get those letters to be blue like that - it is neat!

Doug ! Glad you asked !! [:D] I have a blast with that ! I first highlight the name or word, & it comes blue, well, first put the cursor to the left of it ,hold down the left side of the mouse, then move it to the right & stop, then go up & click on to the color you want to make it. That's all there is & I think Chuck & Tom helped me figure it out, no, I think it was The Chief, cause I don't know much about this stuff at all !!
Thanks,

Beautiful day in Chicago. So far anyway. Hope the rain holds off till evening. My 10 year old son has his first baseball practice today. Going to be a little wet in the outfield as we've had some rain lately. I've got my baseball glove in the oven right now as dad left it out in the rain, oops. Got to get to it, cant waste a day like today.

Good day to all. From the posts it looks like the majority are going to enjoy nice weather. That's the case here as well. Fortunately, I got some of my yard work done a few weeks ago, so its off to play today. [:)]

Live from Roger’s Corners,
It’s Saturday Morning

THINGS YOU'D LOVE TO SAY OUT LOUD AT WORK....

1. I can see your point, but I still think you're full of crap.
2. I don't know what your problem is, but I'll bet it's hard to pronounce.
3. How about never? Is never good for you?
4. I see you've set aside this special time to humiliate yourself in public.
5. I'm really easy to get along with once you people learn to see it my way.
6. I'll try being nicer if you'll try being smarter.
7. I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message.
8. I don't work here. I'm a consultant.
9. It sounds like English, but I can't understand a word you're saying.
10. Ahhh... I see the screw-up fairy has visited us again...
11. I like you. You remind me of myself when I was young and stupid.
12. You are validating my inherent mistrust of strangers.
13. I have plenty of talent and vision; I just don't give a hoot.
14. I'm already visualizing the duct tape over your mouth.
15. I will always cheri***he initial misconceptions I had about you.
16. Thank you. We're all refreshed and challenged by your unique point of view.
17. The fact that no one understands you doesn't mean you're an artist.
18. Any connection between your reality and mine is purely coincidental.
19. What am I? Flypaper for freaks!
20. I'm not being rude. You're just insignificant.
21. It's a thankless job, but I've got a lot of Karma to burn off.
22. Yes, I am an agent of Satan, but my duties are largely ceremonial.
23. And your crybaby whiny-assed opinion would be...?
24. Do I look like a people person?
25. This isn't an office. It's Hell with fluorescent lighting.
26. I started out with nothing, and I still have most of it left.
27. Sarcasm is just one more service we offer.
28. If I throw a stick, will you leave?
29. Errors have been made. Others will be blamed.
30. Whatever kind of look you were going for, you missed.
31. I'm trying to imagine you with a personality.
32. A cubicle is just a padded cell without a door.
33. Can I trade this job for what's behind door #1?
34. Too many freaks, not enough circuses.
35. Nice perfume. Must you marinate in it?
36. Chaos, panic, and disorder - my work here is done.
37. How do I set a laser printer to stun?
38. I thought I wanted a career; turns out I just wanted a salary.
39. Oh I get it... like humor... but different.

I'm busier than a one armed paper hanger. On Thurday, I just sat at the computer and made airline, hotel and rental car reservatons for most of the day. Friday I was in Huron County, Ohio. Glad to be home.

Steve, take care of yourself.

Chief, what is your detailed Ohio schedule? I hope your visit to Ohio doesn't interupt the important stuff I have going on, such as cleaning my sock drawer. [:D]

Take care and have a good weekend. [:)]

Good morning, all!

It looks like spring has arrived in central Alabama. Warm and beautiful day, high near 80! Great day to celebrate our son's 18th birthday.

Steve, I have you on my prayer list. Hang in there!

Chief, have a safe drive - hope you shake off what's ailing you.

Nice Saturday AM pics, Monto, Tom and Mickey. Mickey, is that an Atlas bridge or did you build it yourself?

Steve, sorry to hear about your turn for the worse, I'll keep you in my prayers.

A beautiful day here, temp. is 79 at noon. It'll easily pass 80. Guess I don't have any excuse for not doing yard work, not that I have anyone nagging, its just pushing myself to get going.

Thanks Rodger, I dont feel worse, and the virual count is good but the patologiste said I have continued scaring in the transplanted liver but the rate has slowed.

Now is the time to attack the virus with chemotherapy. I want to move that date forward so by Jume if not May I will be aclamated to it and enjoyng some summer activities.

I plan to camp and to fish and to swim this year and live in the sun. ( watch me get skin cancer)

I want to lose 5o pounds, 30 of that I gained after the operation, get my blood sugar stable and work on a garden lay out.

Basicly I want to reinvent myself.

Hunting and shooting as a kid with my dad, I leared to shoot long, you aim high.

That is what I am doing is aiming high.
That is my moto, my matra.

We all should.

Thank you all for your kind words, makes me feel a little taller and a litter lighter.

That seems to be more like posting just for the sake of posting - especially when there's nothing really to say but mention the weather (cloudy now, windy and cold), or something related to grits.

I guess I'm going to go over to that other forum and try to reach 1,000 so I can have reached these 'milestones' on the same day - quite the useless feat but satisfying nonetheless. Let me just thank my fellow netizens of this place for being such great company and the closest thing to real friends I think possible on the Web. Hopefully, the Cheif will visit me soon and bring me my award certificate. I'll go brew another pot.

Been kicking myself all day, I ordered the wrong swimming pool, right size, wrong model. I wanted the one without buttresses but ordered the one with. Too many papers on the desk and grabbed the wrong one. Shipping and restock charges would negate all savings and then some. I'll need to spend more time preparing the base to allow for the buttresses.[banghead]

Be back later.

As I type this I'm sipping a Jack and Coke planning on running the trains after some supper. Watch out if you try to run a crossing signal on my layout tonight.[:-,]

I also better take some time to clean house, the Mrs. will be back home tomorrow after visiting the daughter and family in MD.[:D]

Roger, I'm glad to see you taking the proper approach to something like this - communing with friend Jack and planning to run some trains. Having now proved my toy train geekdom to my family by reaching 2K posts here and 1K on that other forum, I'm taking the youngest to the park...

Just back from the museum ! Had a great time & I think I actually did a couple things !! [:D][:D]
It really is coming along nicely, though ! About 4 0r 5 of us & sure wish I could get up there more often ! Tom & the guys are great to work with ! There were some visitors visiting, too. Next week-end should bring a lot of people in, with the NMRA Railfest show going on right nearby ! I found out I have to work tomorrow, but I shouldn't have to work next weekend then & maybe I can be at the museum more to help out, I hope !
Doug: Congratulations on your 5th. & last star !! You're at the end of the line, now , no more stars !! [:D][:D]
Thanks,

Today was a beautiful day outside....very sunny, windy and warmer temps at about 50 degrees here in MI. I went to my church for a few hours to help out on the video team (which I am a part of) and turned in an edited video that I did for the technical director. Commented that I did an awesome job on the video, and there will be more projects to come.

And after checking my mailbox today, I gotten something interesting: My MTH club membership packet.....included the 2006 catalog (which I already have one) which I might send that to my younger brother in TX so he can have one. And the item I have been waiting for the most, I finally gotten the RR Track software. Now I can play with it and get accquainted with it so that I can learn to design my own layouts!

Gonna be a nice quiet evening. [:)]

Steve, no such luck for that excuss. I ordered it the week after Christmas when our daughter and 2 grandsons were visiting and the 3 granddaughters were staying at our house so they would have the max. time with their cousins. Needless to say with 5 kids under 8 at one time, and this being the first time they met, it was a mad house.

The grandsons are foster children, the daughter and son-in-law are wading through the court system to make it permanent.

Just ran the trains for about a half hour. Had a strang one with the A-B-A set I just added the speaker to. Stopped at the station, hit tower com, it worked and then the sound died. tried engine reset no luck. Shut the power off for the track and restarted, sound came back. Guess the power off/on did a reboot.

Evening All,
What is with this weather, Easties in the 70's and we are only in the 40's. With cloudbursts, lightning and hail, even had a couple of very minor waterspouts/tornadoes down in the beach area.
Buckeye, I have one you can add to your list : "After talking to you I understand the need for birth control." There are many others along this line but they aren't acceptable in mixed company.
Steve, Keep up the good fight.
Haven't been in a very good mood for a few days, roughed out our taxes and it looks like we are in for one heck of a hosing by the feds, but that is my fault. The folks that handle our investments didn't follow all of my instructions for withholdings and I didn't do the follow-up to make sure. [D)]

I'm away and the place goes to the dogs [you all let Buckeye back on here] [;)]. Congrats Doug M. You get a big bag of grits. OH, did I mention that Dennis ordered a big bowl of cheese grits for the little China doll. See, smart little girl came all the way to USA to get grits. [:)] Suppose to have breakfast with them at Cracker Barrel tomorow AM. Lots of grits then. [:p][:)] Store was dead today. Came in early to eat and relax. Seems cough and etc is better. Meds kicking in [I hope]. Buckeye, Friday afternoon and Sunday afternoon, I will be in Columbus. Times, we will discuss. Invited Fred Bear to visit the Coffee Pot. IS any one here in the TCA?
The reason I ask is this, does TCA membership require the members to be honest?
can some one get black balled for not being honest and taking advantage of old elder
persons that have to sell old trains to raise cash for meds and other things?
This chap in the valley has bought some old postwar lionels and he paid the man
only a fraction of what they were worth. and he is going to get 4 to5 times more on resale.
can any one blow the horn to TCA on this kind of misconduct.

Good evening all,

Chief, glad to hear you are feeling better.

Worked all day, with the wife's help, in the lawn and garden cleaning up the winter's debris and trimming plants back. Can barely move as I type this.

Laz, Did you get the K-4s yet? The headlight quite working on mine. Tried everything I can think of but no go I guess it is either a TMCC problem or the lamp is burned out. I hate to take it apart but I guess that is the only alternative unless I want to run it as a stealth loco.

Almost forgot, Congratulations Doug on making 5 stars.[:)]

Hello NSTrackman! I'm not in the TCA. However my suggestion would be to report your story to them via e-mail & tell them what you told us. If you know of something going on that is wrong,Then you need to report it right away. Doug- Congrats on 5 stars. That is more than Bob K or Neil B. Combined.[:O][;)][:P] (Sorry Bob & Neil.Too much fun to resist[;)][:)]) Chief- You need time off from your Work. You get sick too much.Glad you feel somewhat better now. Steve F- Too bad about your health. Hope your Doctors can do something for you or that you get a healing from our Lord himself. Take Care all.
