Thx Njalb, and I was just getting ready for bed
Chief = did you release the brake? Maybe it's full of bedbugs? Hey, that green combine looks nice there
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.
Chief, I can see why you had such a hard time finding the car, in amongst all the scenery. Are all those black cars dummies?
Don
Mornin' boys. Mornin' Fergie. So nice of you to drop by. It's their show folks
As soon as wifey rises and makes herself more beautiful, we'll be heading out to play in Allegany, Hampshire and Mineral Counties. Calling for SNOHIZO overnight, so might get some good shots trackside.
njalb - Are you showing us all the LIONEL stuff you've placed on order...
ChiefEagles Buckeye Riveter jonadel Oh, Mr. 88 and Mr. Buckeye---so well said, I'll leave it at that. I had a real snotty reply about this "issue" already to send but I won't. Nope!!!
Morning all. Guess my close friend and ally, Buckeye has not gotten up this AM. After all, he is from the great state of Ohio that is in the wonderful North. That is where they eat gooood cream of wheat instead of grits. He also wears that beautiful Yankee blue when he is not wearing the great Ohio State Buckeye red.
Cold this AM. Planning on heading to the lake house to take some new furniture up and some plywood [a backing for the wall where the faucet set and shower head goes. Got to go back around Wed. and build a wall for the end of the tub and shower. Then bath will be finished. Wife has cooked little link sausages and pancakes. God get them while they are hot. Have a good one.

Good Morning all
We're filling up pages fast .. ..
Clear and cool. Going to work around the house and prep for the sermons this weekend as I am on for all three Masses. A guy from work is interested in buying my fifth wheel. It had some water damage and I plan on redoing it, but if I sell it as is we will just get another one. We are looking to downsize from our current 29' to a 26 or 27'.
Chief - I'm glad you found Buckeye's car, it is very valuable.
Fife - Have fun with the bride, it is good to get away!
May God bless
Jim
Good morning all
Got up this AM put the coffee on and saw a beautiful sunrise. But alas its gone and the dreaded s word is on the way. Howsomever I also noticed the green grass is turning brown so March is getting closer. Ah at last.
After Charlies visit last nite I spent some time with him and Brutus by e-mail. Stayed up way past my sack time, but very enjoyable. Trouble is they can type faster than me so I was usually two mails behind. Lots of fun.
Enjoy the weekend and I will just stay in today..S.J.

Thanks Chief. I wasn't fast enough. Missed the NASCAR on Choochoo. Now there isn't any NASCAR on Choochoo. I'll keep an eye on them.
Checked out "Big Blue" forum www.the-gauge.net/forum/index.php. I like the layout. Plan to spend some time there during the NASCAR race commercials today and Sunday.

Got a headache, about 1/4 inch of snow overnight, and son wants to go to the store so he can spend some more of his birthday money - I hope it's all gone soon! Nice email chat with Sir James. Maybe some trains later today? TTFN
Good afternoon all,
It is snohioing in SE Indiana with temps in the 30s. Went to the YMCA and watched "Dollhouse" last night. Did some Second Life. Won a contest there. Not much, but it helps pay the bar bills there (long story). Went to the YMCA this morning. Did weights, track work and some soccer with the Brazilian exchange student. She is getting better. Once her footwork gets to my level, I am so toasted. As far as the Kalmbach situation is concerned, I look at it this way. They are paying the freight and we are along for the ride. On the other hand, the Pot generates most of the activity for the CTT section. I rarely venture into the other Kalmbach forums although perhaps I should. All of the above remarks should be taken with the disclaimer that I do write for CTT on occasion although it has been a while since I have submitted anything. Sometimes the well runs dry :-( I do have some ideas and I just have to get them down on paper. I saw the link on another thread to the new K Line and Lionel catalogs. With very few exceptions, there is very little there that I would want. I will be interested in the MTH Lionel Tinplate when it is released to see if there is anything there as well. I had the regular fare on the dining car for breakfast. The beacon is lit. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Afternoon all. Have to live with the humidifiers and blowers for two more days - survived night # one. About 4 inches of snow overnight. Hope to help the boy with homework today and "putter" around in the basement. I seem to luck out when this thread is locked and rebuilt. Personally, it is puzzling but not that big a deal. I browse the others sometimes. Can't find the equivalent thread on Big Blue yet - Love your summary, Jack. Brutus, since the toilet 'overflow went everywhere, the reclamation guys are (eventually) cleaning and ripping out everything. . . .

Went to LTS yesterday. Ordered a PRR 4-8-2. Used to see them when I was a kid, physically; mentaly, I still am. Had a nice visit with Dave's family. There is some progress but he is still critical. Keep him in your prayers.
Thirty degrees and a little frost in the Northen part of the Sunshine State this morning. Big train show at the Prime Osborne Convention Center, formerly the Jacksonville Terminal. Biggest crowd I have seen in years. Purchased a bunch of books and a Lionel Century Club II Box Car.
Fixed Frech Toast and fried Spam for brunch for Madge and me when I got home. Grill steaks on the back deck tonight. Church choir in St. Augustine tomorrow.
If I can think of something reasonably intelligent to say, and even if I can't, I'm in for filling the pot before the end of February!!!!!
Mel Hazen; Jax, FL Ride Amtrak. It's the only way to fly!!!
Afternoon All!
Spent all afternoon running a new Ethernet cable from the home office through the attic and over to the AT&T fiber modem.
Got part of this to work. First time I have crimped my own Ethernet cable and worked the first time (I think!).
Now I have to figure out why daisychaining the hubs aint workin. This exercise allows me to keep two wireless hubs running so If I need to kick the kikkos off the Internet I can do it and not shut the wife and I down.
I see al the hubbub about the C'Pot. Seems to me it is a server/software issue. It used to work fine even with the new forum software. I think sonething else is wrong. Maybe we could start a C'Pot thread that does not allow any photos and see if that runs better?
Have a great evening all! Off to dinner with the MS and then to the last HS musical my daughter is doing tech (make-up and stage management) for before she graduates in a few months. My how time flies!
EDIT: BTW - someone is blowing the margins?
Regards, Roy
Patrick goto www.nstrains.com and type in the search block gordon, or kahne, or johnson, or Stewart he had all of them for $29.95 each.
Evening all!
Dinner and dishes done!
Worked on Sand house a bit more. Covered roof, and built grandt Line wood stove. Needed to use epoxy, Amrol didn't seem to work on the Grandt Line plastics.
Quiet Day! Only 2" of Snow. So much for the 5-8 predicted. Cleaned off dish, and driveways!
Sound for Church Band tomorrow.
Kurt
Doug - Didn't realize how much damage was done. I read Kelly's blog! Is there anything we can do to help you out? Was it all from the original flooding then?
Prayers for Dave.
Checked out the brass sheets at a LHS and think I found what I need, but I need bigger sheets. I'll look around at some other places, might have to order online. Picked up hardcopies of the new K-Line/Lionel catalogs too.
Picked up a ceiling fan and 2 different rods - not sure which one we will use, one is 3 foot and the other is 1.5 feet. I think there is a 2 foot one on the old fan. Is it better to have the fan closer to the ceiling or farther away?
It's 49 degrees in dark Florida. The steaks were great. Skinny dipping time in the spa. 96 degrees!!! More later. My latest contribution to fill the Pot!!!!
Good Evening All
Well we have 26 degrees and three inchs' of new snow. And thats what I did today watched tv and the snow come down. Pavement and walks have been cleared. Time for Brutus and Banilla, fire it big guy...S.J.
Evenin' All.
Got all my stuff from yesterday's run unpacked and put into propper places. Spent the rest of the day running around to various hobby shops up the freeway in Temecula, you can still see lots of snow up in the mountains from the nice toasty warm valley. Then it was time to stop for some really good Italian food, wanted the veal but I was a good boy and opted for the chicken.
Kurt, Did you clean the plastic prior to assembly ? Sometimes the release agent used in the un-molding process isn't completely removed at the factory and can interfere with the gluing.
Buckeye, I seem to remember you saying that you would have to break-out a "coat & tie" for some sort of event. Does that mean you'll have to wear shoes AND socks, no white ones, as well.
Only one thing in the new catalog is extremely enticing, "The Grim Reaper Gateman".

Yes, Brutus, It is a mess- basement is most peaceful part of the house. All these blowers to dry out the wood.Torn out drywall and doors and baseboards. No ceiling in the dining room. Oh well, this too shall pass.
Well, you are welcome to my super-size Cardinals Umbrella if you want to borrow it
Nice chatter tonight with 3 great guys - RT, SJ1 and Doug. Cake was good, but there are promises of banilla and need to pick up Mike first, I think his beacon has been on all day Kurt, Rich, Laz, Dennis, Jack, Patrick, gotcha on the scope. Chuck, Buckeye, DougDG and CHIEF - turn the beacons on if you want a ride! That goes for anyone else on the CTT site!
DougDG - that gateman is WICKED COOL! Can't wait to get that one and also want the Casper Car, lol!
kpolakWorked on Sand house a bit more.
Saw some of your stuff over at the other place. Looks good Kurt!

I have to agree with the Halloween items. My grandaughter loves a Halloween display with Lemax which evolves later into our Christmas display! I also will be looking for these two items. The owner of my LHS died this week (store to close) so I'll be looking to Trainz for these items.
Waited all day and night [even into the morning] for Buckeye to respond to the nice things I said about him and my extra efforts to fine his I Love OH box car. No word. How let doqn can anyone get from being ignored.
Weent to lake house. Put together a very nice free standing island for the kitchen. Did several other things. Then we drove back before dark. Pam and Lucy were in her 4 Runner while Burg and I came later in the Pickup. Burg did not want to leave. I guess he is use to spending at least one night if we go on Saturday. [Pam has to teach SS class tomorrow] Deer were out in the fields early eating. Got home and ate Southern fried chicken and a bowl of Burnswick stew. Watched movies until I reclinerized.
RRCharlie, we had cold temps early, then warmed, the windy and turnd back cool. Were saying rain and some snow. Now slight chance of rain and maybe mix. Real cool but not cold enough to snow.
God night all.
DougDG: I didn't clean the plastic parts. This is the first plastic I have attempted since Revell cars as a kid. Can you suggest a cleaner? Is Amroid a good choice to glue this? I origionally bought the Amroid for Korber models.
Doug: Sounds like a real mess... Sorry to hear about all the damage. Carefull here, sounds like your Bride is pining for the beach.
Charlie: Thanks! I'll post here Sunday. Still making changes.
Brutus: Thanks for remembering me last night! Nice to see everyone!

CHIEF...........I sent you a text message from my phone, so I didn't really ignore you, but now I wished I had.
Saw one of the most pathetic hockey games last night. Anaheim completely took us apart.
Yesterday I had all day company training. Received six hours of continuing education. I need 15 every year to keep my licences. After you get so old, most everything is a repeat. The newest innovative item that I have been exposed to lately, is pervious recycled pavements. The pavement is made from broken beer bottles. (We already have pervious concrete pavements.) Now several of you are asking, "What's the big deal about a pervious pavement?" Okay, fair question. Just drive over to you local Wally World, and park in the middle of the parking lot. When it rains all that water that hits the pavement used to just soak into the ground. Now it is being directed to a drain, then to a pipe, then to a retention basin and finally ends up in some stream of ditch. With a pervious pavement, it is going directly into the ground again and there are no pipes, drains, or retention basins. Can you say CHEAPER? Wally World is a big advocate of pervious pavements.

Another rare, "I Love Ohio Boxcar". What a find!!! MichRR, you lucky guy.
Good Morning All:
Turned on the computer this AM and no email notices of coffee pot thread postings. Panicked until I realized the email thingy was turned off. I need to find that Toy Trains Anonymous group.
RT and Chief- Plan to check out www.nstrains.com after I post.
How about that Kyle Bush. First NASCAR driver in history to win two top races on the same day. He could win another today if the rain stays away. I sorta hope today's race is rain out so I can watch it tomorrow morning. It's tough for me to stay awake for those night races.
I would like to have the NASCAR new rides as a train, Kyle Bush 18, Dale Jr. 88, Stewart 14, Etc. I agree with RT that they are not cost effective to produce. I am going to try custom decaling my own. If I don't post pictures you know it didn't work.
How many rare "I Love Ohio" cars to you have to find before they become a common car?
See you later.
