Keeping the yatchet; it's paid for.  I want to spend many-a-day sailing the Chesapeake.  It will give me a place to sleep when I visit the kids, and they are all free to sail it, or just hang out on it.  Also, since I'm still mournin' Spock, there is a STAR TREK link.  The yatchet's name before I purchased it...Make It So.

TGIF....... Wow, what a week!!!  I put in extra hours this week to keep the Chief and Roy in the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.   Why hasn't my company asked me to retire yet?  Isn't that how it works?  That is how it worked for us at Cat Buckeye!!! They wanted to save their youth.  Laugh

I wonder if there is a train show nearby this weekend.

I thank you Buckeye!!  Big Smile

I think they keep me around because I know all the engineering firms in Ohio plus if the electricty is turned off, I know how to run a slide rule and someone will need to teach the kids. Laugh  I'm an owner, too but that doesn't count for squat. Whistling

Now back to Spock and Star Trek.  When I was in college, engineering students at precisely 10:00 pm applied the breaks to studying and rapidly made a beeline towards the CRT TV to watch Star Trek.  They sat stone faced as they watched new episodes.  Afterwards, the electrical, mechanical and aeronautical engineering students would get into the most arduous discussions about the technology portrayed.  It is my opinion based on those observations, that the now popular BIG BANG THEORY is nothing but a spinoff of Star Trek.

Condolences to all you treckies out there.  I'm from the Captain Midnight, Roy and Gene era myself.  We had a conductor on the SP that was a Treckie.  His handle on another forum is Starship Conductor.

Just stopped by to remind the Chief to SET HIS CLOCK for MIDNIGHT.

I think that most everyone but Joe will be more than happy to tear February off the calander.

Evening all!

Well the thermometer hovered at 32 all day so only about half of the snow/ice mixture has melted, but the streets are pretty clear in our part of town.

Got some spotty freezing rain but it did not stick too much. Now they are saying it will be better tomorrow.

SJ - yep, it is time for February to end!

LAZ - pushing it northeast!

Banks - Laugh

Good evening all,

Did a ten mile walk in 2 hours 43 minutes 45 seconds today.  That  had a jog/run mixed in at the .9 mile mark every mile.  Not the best pace, but serviceable for now.  Snow supposed to hit tonight and tomorrow.   I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Hey Mike glad to hear/see it seems all things are working out for you

Things around here are going day by day also. SS wants to have me evaluated by there DR for My 70% PTSD I thought they had to take the V.A.'s decision as I seem to remember being told they couldn't contest another Government entity. But I'm probably wrong. no biggy I let them check me out also. I guess.

Talk to you all later have a good one

RT, if you watch daytime TV all there is, is lawyers advertising to get people SS disability payments. That is the best SS pay you can get. I am glad to see they are looking at it because the people who need it will be ripped off by those who don’t.  About time they look!. Cat where I worked for 36 years has partnered up with one of those SS disability firms and keep sending me a letters saying I could get it. ( from when I crushed my arm, I guess ) Under the smoke there is some language about if you do get it you will be put on Medicaid and not the Cat medical INS.. That is what it is all about. Cat wants to dump me on the Gov. medical dime. So sad for all of those who really need the help. Nothing personal, just an observation.

RT,   I have and do not have any intent to contact them……………….. I was just saying what Cat was trying to do to pass the medical buck.

I did have my arm crushed at work but I found another way to get along,, and Cat knows. They put me there but now that I am gone they want a way out for their bottom line..

Snow is falling, but temps are up,,, but still I have had enough.

Have a good night!

We have that unique heavy ice coating over snow. Looks like someone varnished the snow.

Freezing rain falling, but temp is up to 33. Tomorrow supposed to be better.

Morning all.  We detected a man from Ohio [thought it might be Buckeye] trying to escape by flying out this AM.  We put down our ice sheet at overpass near RDU.  He went down the hill [no damage to his car until the 6 others followed him].  No one hurt and minor dents on cars.  Actually almost ended up on pavement down hill.  Suppose to warm up by noon.  Not go below freezing until weekend.

Have had some periods of freezing rain.  Church canceled [but wasn't planning on going anyway].  Slept till 8.  Animals slept in too.  Fed them and fixed a breakfast.  Now TV.

Wifey on train headed to God's Country.  Anything below the M&D is God's special country. Big Smile  Pick her up around 5ish.

Stay warm and safe.

Aloha.  Hard to believe it's March. As Kev said, this month tied the coldest Feb. here in 144 years of records. Frantic Friday was spent with the daughter on expensive wedding stuff.

Unless I'm missing something the Chief forgot to start a new pot of coffee.

Hurray for March 1st.

Maybe Frank has not changed the pot because it does not feel anything like March?

Light snow falling and 17 degrees.

1st of the month = bills.

NASCAR later.
