Evening all!

Been busy building shelves in the garage. Trying to get organized and sort out the junk in the process.

Mike C - it is always nice when they "get it".

Sorry to say it warmed up nicely here today. 50's. May hit 60's & 70's next couple of days. But another Siberian blast coming Sun ?

Stay toasty!

Regards, Roy

Mornin' boys.  Zero temps at zero dark-thirty.  Grandson coming to Fifedom today will help warm things up.

Looks like CSX caused a big one in WV.

Good morning like Doug we are at -10 with wind chills in the -25 to 30 range.

School is closed so the wife is sleeping and the cat is outside trying his luck taking care of his business without getting stuck to the snow.  Surprise

Seems they are always closing the schools for something. I never remember them shutting down for cold??

We did have a snow day once in 1967 when it snowed 26" not many others. None of the schools had AC or our houses for that matter back then.

Well got to light a fire and get moving.

Good morning,

I believe today will be colder yet, and the windchill is supposed to keep it well below zero.  The kids and I are hanging out inside as the wife is taking care of a few errands.  I need to clear off the top of the layout so I can affix the grass mats.  I don't have much else planned.

Aloha! Woo-hoo! It's a record for this date in February: - 7 and dropping at the airport though it's - 13 out here - probably similar down Kev's way. Sigh. Both the bride's school district and the youngest's school district closed. I'm working though. I know whose fault this all is...

Good morning all,

Not much to report but just checking in.  Took wife to a new doctor yesterday for her dementia problem.  Very nice lady doctor who proscribed some new medication which we hope will do some good.

No news on the train front here.  No time for it lately.

Grandson has been getting several offers for college scholarships.  Has not decided which one yet.  We are very grateful for his opportunity.

Live in son has started dating a new girl yesterday.  Sounds a lot more promising than the last one.  Hope he meets a good one.

Had long telphone conversation with my sister in North Carolina yesterday.  She is still fighting her cancer.  She is terminal and she knows it but keeps going.  Gave her an update on our sitiuation.  Good talk.

Happy birday BuckeyeHappy B-Day

Hey guys I'm flattered that you remembered. Smile, Wink & Grin Of course it takes someone with a computer programmed to the correct date to remember.  Thanks Murph.

I used to get upset when someone at work did something stupid.  Now I am laughing.  Is this a sign that I should see a mental health professional? Bang Head

Hello there,

Busy dealing with the cold, work, and Mom.

Thanks for the prayers for Mrs' sister...........not much time left..........

Laz..........where've ya been?????????? Hope the Allentown Show is better than Monroeville was. Now I remember why I quit going. The 3hour 60 mile drive in a snow squal return trip made my day that much better.

Got York passes in the mail today. Sure sign of spring.

Is it really Buckeye's Birthday?  Enjoy.

Best move on

Prayers for those in need

Good evening all,

Happy birthday, Buckeye!  Still very cold here, but I did walk outside at noon.  Not as far as my regular walk, but still good to be outside.  Work was ok today.  Some progress made on the house planning tonight.  Might be getting there.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mornin' boys.  I just heard that it's so called the chickens are lining up at KFC to get warm...  Like jefelectric said, calling for 3-5 inches of snohizo tomorrow for PA, which is really putting a damper on our trip.  Penn-DOT is notoriously bad for clearing highways.  Wifey don't care, but she ain't the one gripping the steering wheel...

I'm so freekin' tired of watching newscasters bundled up outside, compaounding the obvious.  If I were Sublime Emporer, I would have all channels piping in live feeds from Fiji.

Aloha. Don't know why schools were off yesterday (for Buckeye's birthday?) but it's even colder today and they're back in session. Go figure. I drove the kids to school that were waiting at the corner for the bus at 21 below zero. Good basement weather. At least there's no snow on the horizon... And this is supposed to last as far as the weather-guessers can see. Yeesh.

3 out there going to 20 today then 33 tomorrow with snow and 20 for a high with -11 for a low on Sunday. Then two days in the 20s and back in the freezer for the end of next week. Relentless. Like Doug said School is open today. Hmm

The LP guy put 180 gallon in the pig tank yesterday. That leaves us with 245 gallons left on the contract. We should make it if this weather ever breaks. Bang Head

.............  I just clicked on last post and it went to the posts about Brent's wreck.  Had to check dates to be sure he had not crashed again.  This and no spell check is why I don't post here much now.  Page so small and have to manually makeit bigger.

Chief..... Sit down before you read any more of this post.
I agree with you. Whatever software they are using for this forum is horrible and I have even tried to do a spell check go-around with no success. You post a reply and you wonder what you are going to get. We have both have been on the forum for over ten years and I have never seen such poor quality. As to the small print, isn't the average age on this forum over 50? One would think CTT would cater to that age group.

Good evening all,

Chuck has the snow cannon aimed straight at the Hoosier state.   Long day at work.  Longer evening.  Checked on daughter after her successful surgery.  She is doing ok.  Got stuck in a parking lot on I-74 due to a wreck on the way home.  Ugh.  Did watch SNL 40th anniversary show tonight.  It was good.   Will just hunker down and watch soccer this weekend.   I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mornin' boys.  Awaiting our next dose of misery in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Scrubbed our plans for today.  Wifey may go with oldest Princess to her wedding dress fitting.  Possibly a card game tonight.  Daytona 500 tomorrow; should be a good one.

I may be in the minority with this thought, but perhaps, just perhaps, we're being a bit harsh on CTT's web offerings...?

My thoughts on this forum, it's theirs so we gotta go with what they offer. However nothing wrong with letting them know what doesn't seem to work right.

Yeah SJ,  "IT's GOOD TO BE THE KING" Wink

I am thinking they know the issues by now. Wonder if there is the same issues on the MR forum?

Heat wave. 33 degrees. Surprise

BTW, Guys, I am glad to be here, Even wit the software issues. “And there are plenty of them”  . I have been on other forums that are "self moderated" (not good) and there is no real train chat on them and no meat on the hobby. I did not always think that way but I am still able to learn. Glad we can discuss the hobby here without moderated perspective intervention. We all have the same hobby and we can all help each other in it. The things I learn here help me a lot in working on the layout.

That is what it is all about to me!
