Good Friday morning, everyone!  Coffee is ready, along with freshly made orange juice, orange/tangerine juice, apple juice, and pineapple juice.  I've got fresh tea brewing, so if anyone wants hot tea this morning, just pour a cup from the teapot, and I'll brew more tea after a bit, for iced tea.  There's also freshly squeezed lemonade in the walk-in cooler.

On the warmer bar, you will find some red, white and blue frosted doughnuts and muffins this morning, along with the regular chocolate covered cream filled, custard filled doughnuts and long johns, apple, raspberry, cherry and peach danish, and bear claws.

I want to wish everyone a very safe, Happy Memorial Day Weekend, and PLEASE be extra careful out there, if you drive anywhere over the weekend.  I know there will be some stupid idiots behind the wheels of vehicle of every type, and I want to see everyone back here safe and sound Tuesday (for those of you who won't be back to a computer until then).

Our Italiana Fest is continuing for supper tonight, and everything is all laid out on the warmer bar.  Hope everyone has a great evening, and enjoy your supper and the rest of the evening.

Went to get the learners permit for my CDL today, I get to the grocery store to pick up some things, and notice a puddle under my truck.  Water pump decided to let go on me, at least I limped it home, now have something to do tomorrow morning before leaving for Burlington.  Just can't get ahead lately... Sigh [sigh]Sigh [sigh]Banged Head [banghead]Banged Head [banghead]

I'll take some dinner, it's raining out now, and temp is starting to drop.

Good job on the exams Willy.  Sounds like you're finishing strong.  We're supposed to get hit with "Strong to Severe" storms later today/tonight.  Nothing yet tho.

Spanish and Theology exams are done. 96% on Theology, 98% on Spanish. That leaves only the english exam for tomorrow and then that's the end.

I'll try some of that lasagna with garlic bread, please.

We just got doused with a 10-minute downpour here finally- sound like more is on the way.

That rigatoni and garlic bread sound great right about now.  I just found out that I get a paid holiday on Monday instead of just not working and not getting paid.  First paid holiday for me.  I think I like this full-time job business!

Good morning......................(for a nap)

Rained lightly to moderately all night here in Omaha. It started at about 11:00 PM and then went right through the night. Not much thunder or lightning, though. So far, Omaha/Eppley has reported just over one inch. Not quite as much as I expected, but enough to keep things green. More is coming for Saturday and then there could be some severe weather Memorial Day or Tuesday, so I'll be waiting for that.

They keep pushing the forecast thunderstorms out - we were supposed to see them Friday, now we're up to Sunday - should make an interesting day on the railroad...

Filled my tank up last night - it was beyond E (taking a chance there....) and took 25+ gallons.  You can do the math...  Fortunately my grocery store has a deal where every $50 I spend there gets me a dime a gallon off gas, up to 20 gallons.  Saved me $4 last night...

Good Thursday morning, everyone.  Hope everyone had a good evening, and managed to get a good night's sleep and rest.  If you're like me, just wasn't long enough!!

Coffee is on, juices are freshly made, and fresh tea is brewing/steeping.

On the breakfast bar this morning, you will find:  turkey bacon, sausage, hash browns, oatmeal, toast, cantaloupe & watermelon chunks.  There's also some packages of cold cereal on the counter.

Everyone have a good morning, and you'll find me out in the garden (after I put Mookie's coffee mug down off the shelf), enjoying the cool air, and my coffee.

Nice job on the grades Willy.  My last semester in college I had a 4.0 GPA as well.

Morning everyone!  Thought I'd kick on the lights and get the beverages hot and cold, respectively.  There's some bagels and cream cheese along with some muffins of various varieties.  I'll be outside since it's 71 degrees at 5:25!  YAY!

Well, Just put almost $50.00 in gas in my little ol' pickup truck and it still had over a quarter of a tank. Oh, well. I've got to get ready for work. Have a nice evening everyone, take care.

I've got a 4.0 GPA and I plan on keeping it! I have straight 'A's except for a 'B' in world history honors. However, a 'B' in a honors class is considered an 'A', thus the 'B' doesn't prevent me from keeping the 4.0 GPA. It's nice how these things work out.

And for supper tonight, it will be Mookie's porcupine meatballs w/the broccoli, raisin, sunflower seed, apple salad.  And if anyone else has something they would also like for tonight, I'll make that as well.

There is plenty of iced tea, lemonade, limeade, and iced water to quench everyone's thirsts today, as well as Gatorade, and soft drinks.

The supper of the broccoli salad, along with some tuna noodle casserole are now on the food bar.  So everyone grab a plate, and your drink of choice from today's liquid menu and head on out to the patio.  Enjoy your supper and your evening, everyone!!

.....That engine appears to be one without a primemover....A Slug...??  But then it wouldn't be single...it'd be attached to Mom....

Surely the P M wasn't wiped clean of the chassis with the loaded tanks....

Looks like it's almost a total loss or would require a total and major rehab and then some.

I'll bet there will be lots of questions regarding that move.....

A tank car loaded with asphalt must be one of the heaviest.  The spilled material for the workers to wade around in to clean up the mess will be a real mess.....!!
