Well, I haven't lost my touch. I was just wondering where Randy had been and lo and behold, here he is! Glad to have you back, Randy.
Doctor sez I am healthy for another year. Grocery Store prices could put anyone on a diet.
Turmoil at work - but at least it isn't dull.
And it doesn't involve me!
Off to empty round file and refill.
Really need a nap too. All stressed out and nowhere to nap. Stand still Tree. I'd ask Dan to plug in mah fan but.....(that doesn't sound quite right....) I'd ask Dan to plug in mah fan, however.....

Hmmmm,OOPS, guess I got that one "Bass Ackwards"! No wonder he had such a Shocking experience!!
(I work with red and black more than the other; red being Hot, and Black being ground.)
Just had a major t-storm rumble through here, looks like we might have picked up about .75" of rain from this one. (at least according to the rain guage in front yard.)
At least it's cooled the temp. down, along with bringing the humidity down some.

Afternoon everyone, what do you think of what I've been driving for the past four weeks? (Shoot, forgot to get a picture.....)
Anyway, it's been a long four weeks and 15,000 miles on the road to Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, PA and New York, running between those points and Wisconsin, but I'm doing well. Should be ready to take the CDL road test this next week, then get my own truck.........
Will take dinner, then a nap for a bit.......
You look smokin', Dan!!
Well, I finally made it back in. Dan, be very careful working with electricity! And check with the Mutt: he's the resident handyman around here, if you need anything.
Looks like you all pretty well cleaned up the sandwiches I made this morning for lunch!! Good job: I like you all having good appetites around here!!
Tonight's supper menu will be: THURSDAY NIGHT PIZZA FEST!! I'll have the following pizzas ready at 4:00 EDT:
1. anchovie2. Canadian bacon3. cheese and extra cheese4. pepperoni/sausage/mushroom5. supreme6. veggie
As I do on Saturdays, I'm making three of each of the above, so there should be enough for everyone (especially if anyone wants to take some home with them for supper tonight).
Joe and Lance, there'll be containers in the fridge for you all, for work tonight.
You all take care, have a good afternoon, and if you venture out, hopefully you can stay as cool as possible!!

Good Thursday morning, all. It's very humid and muggy here this morning. Things are "supposed" to cool down, later today, after a cold front and showers/thunderstorms roll through late morning, early afternoon?
I've got the coffee and hot tea ready this morning, along with fresh iced tea, lemonade, and orange juice.
On the breakfast/warmer bar: turkey bacon, sausage patties, biscuits and sausage gravy, hashs browns, cantaloupe & watermelon chunks and fresh pineapple.
I may not be around for lunch, so I've fixed some cold cut sandwiches, and placed them in the cooler for you all. There are all kinds of chips, pretzels, etc., under the counter.
Everyone have a good morning/day, and I'll see you all later.
coffee to go for me.

I've never "dabbled" in anything like RC cars, but there are RC Trains!!
(now RC Helicopters are another story)
Glad we didn't get the "Thunder Boomers" like yesterday, but sure would feel better if it did rain and the humidity went down some. (some more)
matt says thanks for the extra fries.humdity has gone up here and they say rain for tommorow.we and the farmers around us can use the rain.
I just got home from work and we have a temperature of 72 degrees, and the humidity is sitting at 81%, which I can live with. It started raining here during the noon hour while I was at work, and being that I don't have a rain gauge, I can only guess at how much rain we got. But I was a lot more comfortable walking home from work than when I left my house at 11:00 this morning. The little bit of rain we got sure cooled us down nicely. We still have a 60% chance of thunderstorms throughout tonight, so maybe we will get more rain.
I sat down to have dinner at Wendy's after I had finished working my shift, and a realtor there offered me $90,000.00 for my little one-bedroom house. I think he had me and my address confused with someone else, but I did give him my name and phone number along with my street address. My house was recently appraised at $70,000.00 and I told this guy that. I've been living in the same spot since April of 1991 and even if I were offered that kind of money for my house, I don't look forward to the headaches associated with moving into another house.

...Several talking about much rain received....Here...still only a half inch in my gauge since yesterday morning....and the sun is shining now and it's 86 degrees. Dry, dry and dry...!

I'll take a couple of grilled H&C, please. I need 'em to supplement that watered-down beef stew I got from our cafeteria here at work.
News link on situation in NE IA- watch the video, she shows a hi-railer going past on ICE behind her.

EDIT: watched it again myself, realized the hi-railer wasn't really on the tracks, just crossing them.

We didn't get that until around 6:00pm last night. Rain wasn't Real heavy, but had some fairly strong winds, with reports of branches, limbs, trees, and wires down in the eastern part of the city. We only got about 0.3" of rain here at the house, other areas got up to 0.75".
We're looking for more of the same this evening. (about the time CSXrule4eva goes to work today; second shift.)
Luckily, we didn't have to "Duck", but thought we saw several with their slickers on and carrying signs that said; "Florida or Bust"!!
CW you should work for the State Department: you're good at making everyone happy! I'll take a plate full 'o sandwiches and be munching them outside.
Brian-the only mudslides that I like come from bars! I hope nobody gets hurt.
Joe, Matt can have my extra fries.
Thank you all for your meal suggestions!! Very much appreciated! So, here's today's lunch and supper menus:
SANDWICHES:
1. grilled ham & cheese
2. tuna salad
3. egg salad
And, of course, fries to go with the sandwiches!!
And: lasagna w/garlic butter toast w/ a very nice and fresh garden salad.
Desserts today: watermelon, chocolate cake and pecan pie.
Hope you all enjoy the meal selections for today!!
Brian - think there may be some more coming your way from way above us - either tonite or tomorrow morning - so batten the hatches. Or at least put up your 'brella.....
Egg salad sounds good to me! I am not a big egg person, but love good egg salad....
I am ready for some: watermelon, Lasagne w/garlic butter toast, and milk. To go. I don't want to cook tonite.
Lunch - tuna salad something. It just feels like a tuna day. Maybe alternate with salmon patties. Yum!
CW - I had a big cup of coffee, so now a cup of herbal tea would be nice. Crank up the porch swing!
Moo....

GOOD MORNING! That's what happens when I get too much sleep. I'm on a mission today to set the record for being productive. I'll dash in and dash out today. Brian's idea for lunch sounded great. Back later! Missed ya Mook!
