Supper for tonight is now ready.  Sorry about it being so late, but I went out and bought Mutt an EARLY wedding anniversary present.  Will have a picture up later, I'm sure.  Not going to spoil Mutt's surprise for everyone.

Dan, thanks for the present!  I love my new ovens!!

Supper tonight is:  beef angus steak w/sauteed mushrooms & onions, with chocolate cake for dessert.

Chris, thank you for mopping up the paintball mess on the floor.  You get your supper free tonight.

I'd offer everyone venison tonight, but I hear they're not good eating this time of year, and besides, I just hit it with my truck....  Don't' think I've got any significant sheet metal damage, but the grille is gone, and the radiator has a nice bow to it now.....

Very sorry to hear about that, hope the repair bill isn't out of this world!

My Sis had that happen to her a few years ago;lets just say that she wasn't even that lucky,if you could even say that.

....Larry, sorry to hear of damaging your truck.....Did the deer pick itself up and dash away.

If the hit isn't too hard they can really do that.  In fact it happened to me years ago.  About 5 or 6 of them came running across the highway in front of the test truck I was driving and I just about got it stopped, but not quite.  Some went behind and some went in front and one got hit by my stopping truck and got slammed over in the ditch but he got up and shook himself off and ran out across the field.

Sounds like you may have not been quite that fortunate.

I'll eat venison anytime!  The only way it's not good is if someone cooks it 'wrong'.

Morning all!  Mutt she's cute!  Welcome to the 'LocoKitty'.  Kinda reminds me of 'RoboCop' but with more fur and less bad sci-fi.

On to breakfast: it's Pancake Thursday!  I've got regular, chocolate chip, cinn/rasin, bananna, paintball, and blueberry.  The syrup is made fresh locally and it's darn good!  We've also got some oatmeal for those in need of that plus the usual bevy of beverages.  Suggestions for breakfast tomorrow?

Hmmmm - "Locokitty" and a kitty who seems to have gone loco.....

Nope - Deer lost.  Not that the truck necessarily won.  Got to thinking later - there's a lot of miles on the truck, even though it's in excellent condition. It may be a close call between repairs and "totalling" the truck.  Hope for the best - I was hoping to avoid another vehicle payment for a while.

I am not sticking around, so read fast:

Mutt - you have your own Mookie, now.  She looked exactly like that.  She must have been reincarnated just so she could live with you!  Has she learned to get up high or is she still a stay on the floor/bed kitty?

Tree - for awhile our sheriff couldn't get anything done except car/truck/deer accident reports.  It seems to have calmed down a little.

All the rest:  I am locked and loaded and won't be caught.  Stay tooned for the next "painting" at the OK Diner....

I will play Tree and leaf.

Good Thursday morning, everyone!  Dan, thanks for getting breakfast ready this morning.  After playing with Sweetie Pie, I didn't get to bed until about 12:30 this morning.  She seems to be liking Sarah's bed, and her bedroom, right now.  She's still adjusting to her new home and surroundings, and adjusting to her new roomate:  Sammy Joe, the resident house cat, who is 15 years old.  She's not liking her other roommate, Winter, the dog, very well, yet.  All she does is hiss at Win.  Oh well, they will all adjust in time.

Jen, Sarah does call her "Mookie" every once in awhile.

Everyone have a great day, and does anyone have any requests for lunch/supper today?

Morning All,

Well at least things seem to have quieted down a bit in here this morning! Thanks for the free supper last night CW!

Mutt, I like your gift! She's adorable! So, we know the other kitty prefers chocolate cake. Does Locokitty have a prefered food item to keep her happy? (These things are good to know...I always keep a stash of chocolate cake handy to appease the other kitty should the situation require it!)

Tree, sorry to hear about the truck. Oddly enough, I think I've only barely hit one rabbit (who hopped off and seemed to be OK) despite having spent ten years behind the wheel. I think that's an amazing bit of luck, especially considering some of the places I spend time at here.

Well all, must be on my way. Hope you have a great day!

Chris, you're very welcome!

For lunch and supper menus today, you will find:  FOR LUNCH:  burgers, cheeseburgers, fries, apple sauce, garden salad, and chocolate cake for lunch.

FOR SUPPER:  roast, potatoes, carrots, and shelly beans w/onions.  Also, chocolate cake on tonight's dessert menu.

Chris, not sure about Sweetie Pie liking chocolate cake yet, but do know that she loves the Pounce "Caribbean Catch Crunchy treats.  The lady at the Humane Society (located in one of the local Feeders Supply stores), said she really loves this particular kitty treats.  As a matter of fact, she gave me the bottle of the Pounce treats, to bring home with me.  It's two thirds empty (that way when the lady gave them to me.)

It's looking like more snow for Omaha this weekend; probably Saturday night and early Sunday. It won't be a huge deal, but I think that 3 to 5 inches is a good possibility. There's never a dull moment in the weather department!

I think I'll have one of those cheeseburgers, some applesauce, and a slice of chocolate cake for lunch today. Thanks very much for the great food, CW.

Joe, I've got some cheeseburgers & fries ready for you to take to work tonight, along with 3 large orders of roast, taters, carrots, beans, and chocolate cake, all in the oven, ready and waiting for you.

Meanwhile, everything is warmed up, and on the warmer bar, for everyone's supper tonight.

Willy, do you have your weather machine pointed in our direction?  They're calling for us to have snow starting Sunday, continuing through Monday, with flurries on Tuesday.  Guess I'm gonna have to go buy some ice melt to have on hand, just in case.  Sad [:(]

Everyone have a great evening, stay safe, and stay warm.

As a matter of fact, I do have the weather machine pointed your way. I wouldn't expect a ton of snow, but getting some of that ice melt probably wouldn't be a bad idea. I'll keep you up to date with the latest information tomorrow and Saturday.

Hey there, c60ac, Sign - Welcome [#welcome] to the diner.  Sit yourself down and have a good cup of coffee.  Iguanas are fine, as long as they get along with the other (wild) life around here.  Mischief [:-,]

If the cook doesn't know how to make something, she usually just asks for a recipe.  Other than that, she can (and will) make anything on request.

Sign - Welcome [#welcome] c60ac!  You'll like it here.  I'll leave it to others to explain the two big don'ts, LOL.

Today i'll throw a breakfast buffet on the warmer.  It's got eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, cereal, oatmeal, pancakes, waffles, corned beef hash, fresh fruit, milk, OJ, AJ, TJ, coffee plus a dessert section!  Yes you can have chocolate cake AFTER you eat your breakfast.  Back later!
