Mine told me:

1.  Never disobey Chuck Norris

and

2.  Go to Taco John's for lunch tomorrow!

That settled it for me!  Big Smile [:D]

Since I'll be all by myself in the truck all day tomorrow, I guess I can have a plateful of the special tonight.

Re: Sign Language.  I've learned some but am far from fluent.

Along the lines of Driver's situation, however, was something that happened when I was assigned to a tropical island.  The maintenance workers spoke the local language - their supervisor didn't.  He suspected that they weren't performing up to par, but couldn't prove anything, so he learned the language, without letting them know.  The next time they talked among themselves during the morning job briefing, about how after the boss was out of sight, they'd goof off, he told them that if they did, they'd be history....

Trip Report:  VA Museum of Transportation (communing with big steam and Diesels, albeit dead) and the O. Winston Link Museum, in the old Roanoke RR Station.  Both worth your time if you are in the area, and just a nice walk between them (6-7 blocks).  Right along the NS main....

Hard to do much 'fanning here in Lynchburg - I'm just not familiar with the track yet.

Time to pack.

Good evening, folks.  I've got the next round of Mexican Night all ready on the warmer bar.  Joe, there's a big plate made up for you in the fridge, for work tonight.  Hope you'll enjoy it, and I hope everyone enjoys their time tonight, here in the DD/CS.

We've got plenty of enchiladas, tamales, burritos, and there is plenty of chunky salsa  and tortilla chips.  There is also some medium con casa for the chips.

It wouldn't have been anything off-color.  Think of the movie Good Morning, Vietnam! and the part where Robin William's character says basically:

"Excuse me sir, since the VP is such a VIP shouldn't we keep the VP's PC on the QT?  Because if the VP's PC leaks to the VC the VP could become a MIA then we'd all get put out on KP"

That's the mentality I had when I made the NSA/CIA remark...Big Smile [:D]...off to work for one of the last times as a Lifeguard!  YAY!

Mookie, I really need to get my sign language book back out, and give myself a refresher course!!

Nightrain, I ONLY use the good salsa.  Don't particularly care for just the sauce.  And I don't care for Hot Sauce at all.  That's where my twin brother & I are not alike:  he will put hot sauce on just about everything!  Even scrambled eggs.  yuck!  And do we love tamales in this house.  We'll have a meal on just tamales sometimes.

Everyone have a great afternoon (what's left of it, anyway) and I'll be back in later.

I highly reccomend the salsa, it's spiced the right way, and it's super chunky

*no comments from the peanut gallery regarding the word "Chunky" *Grins*

CW - a very good friend of mine here at work does signing for pay.  She has shown me some of the more graphic signs - and not because I asked for my own information, but because there is a particularly nasty young lady that works with The Driver.  She only talks in sign language and has said some rather naughty things to him in sign language.  So we are teaching him to recognize the signs and how to answer them.  It is a riot!  What is even funnier is Kim showing me and then me showing him and then....well, I think we may lose something in the "translation".  Who knows - maybe he told her that he is sending her on a paid vacation.....

CW, Welcome back, and thank you again for the food as well, anything southwest is worth me getting up and eating. Especially if it's smothered with good salsa, not hot sauce, SALSA.

So, Enchiladas, tostadas, and Spanich rice, with a tall pepsi will be good for me this afternoon.

if there's Tamales, I am up for seconds

Nightrain, got it all right here for you!!  And thanks for the welcome back!

DF and Willy, thank you for your kind words. It's nice to be back.

Mookie, your welcome!!  Here are some earmuffs for you and Driver along with my Sign Language book, that you two can use at the tracks.  That way, no one will know what you're doing or saying.  Wink [;)]Evil [}:)]  And I passed along your message!

But when I look at my ever present maps - we are dead center in the middle.  I know some of the eastern people want to go by population, but when you figure we are only know for separating Kansas and South Dakota and Iowa and Colorado/Wyoming - you have to have some gimmick!

They call Joe's Ohio the midwest, but look how far he is shoved over to the east!  At that rate, the true east coast should be in the middle of the Atlantic....Big Smile [:D]

And did you ever notice our wind comes from around the Denver area.......
