Hunter - When we met in January of 2000, you were just a 6 week old pup who walked his way into this heart of mine as the only runt in the litter who would come over to me. And today, I sit here and tell you I am sorry we had to put you down. It was the best thing for you and also the right thing to do. May you now rest in peace and comfort. Love, Dad. 8 June 2010

I love you and miss you Mom. Say hi to everyone up there for me. Rest in peace and comfort. Love, John. 29 March 2017

I have seen conrail coal trains. Some of there axle counts on the dectors would turn your head around and say WHAT. One conrail coal train on the dector would say: conrail coldwater New York track 3 no defects toltall axle count 10-6 99999995 train speed 70mph over. Which i did see that train & that was the longest train that i have seen.

Conrail wanted the Cotton Belt portion of the SP before the split. Conrail and CSX's agreement to merger is what started the split going.

In NYC days, there were 6 tracks. 4 on the mainline and 2 on the West Shore. I beleive that most of the West Shore west of Albany was gone before Conrail.

Just a few miles from my present home there is an ex-Conrail (i am pretty sure) line that used to run about 100 feet from my old house. CSX runs a local on it now but I still see some big blue run the local job. It serves a paper warehouse and Hainesport Industrial park. I think it runs everyday during the week but Im not sure.

I have a printout of a **286 car** empty hopper train, XDI53, on 8/22/94. Engines LMS 702 and 704. It ran from Collinwood to Buckeye with empty bathtubs for Conway, and hoppers for Ebensburg, Driftwood, Bethlehem, Annville, and Freeport PA; Youngstown, Ohio; Dickinson and Swiss WV; and Paulsboro NJ (Mobil Oil).

That's a lot of cars.
