Paul, I'm with Lynn 100 percent! We got over an inch and a half of rain yesterday, but it wasn't enough to keep Pat and me away from LaGrange and the west end of Clearing Yard. It was part of a weekend where I finally got some interesting new (and relettered) freight cars after about two weeks of starvation. The Umler feed I use has gone in and out, making logging these things a challenge.I'll actually make it to cardiac rehab all three times this week. And on Friday I have an MRI and CT scan to map out the cancer lesions they found outside my spine. Three zaps of intense, precisely-targeted radiation ought to take care of that. My hope now is that that's what was causing my PSA numbers to go up.

CSSHEGEWISCHLynn's biggest complaint is that the days are getting too short, she prefers sunset to come at no earlier than 8:00 PM.
The outside lights on our FD Banquet Hall are on a timer. It's a constant chore to go in and reset the timer through the year so they come on at an appropriate time. The 4PM-ish setting on December 21 is clearly overkill on June 21, when It's not dark until around 9:30...
We could put them on an eye, but I haven't been able to talk our folks into it yet.

We're expecting a high of 73 today, a little warmer over the next few days. Lynn's biggest complaint is that the days are getting too short, she prefers sunset to come at no earlier than 8:00 PM.
tree68Fall has fell, The leaves as well, Have fallen to the ground. And everyone knows, when the cold wind blows, Jack Frost will soon be 'round. Most of the leaves were still on the trees today, so my student engineer didn't have any problem with them. But they are changing, although the colors this year are tending toward dull hues. Soon enough, they'll be on the rails, with wet weather to help them stick to the rails. Might as well just get out a grease gun and grease the rails. You'll get better traction than on those leaves...
