Well we're waiting to see what we receive out of the mess that is passing a bit north of us....Rain overnight, and some light rain this morning....While still dark, we had some thunder and lightning.

Mild so far, but we know it will turn colder later today.

Word is perhaps 1 to 2" of the stuff {snow} tonight.

Too bad to have so much weather that will effect so many in their traveling plans for Christmas.

Found a bargin on socks at our mall today...so believe I'm headed back for a couple more pkg's. of them.  They were the correct ones I tend to use all the time so must not pass them up.

But first, we'll stop and have a good breakfast.

Best to all for whatever plans you might have for the fast approaching Holiday.

Q - bad news is it has no moisture, but good news is it is light.  Our landlord is using a snowblower and I think it is throwing it into the lots around us!

I shoveled a path to the wildlife - most of the snow ended up in my face!  50mph winds last nite, but only about 20 today.  Little raw.  Some rain before the snow, which was nice.  Just not very much.

So far, all we've gotten is rain, off and on all day, along with gusty winds.  And you can tell that the temps are dropping.  Dug out my thermals and put them on last night, and still have them on under my sweats and hoodie pullover.

Several wind advisories/warnings for places in southern Indiana, but so far, no warnings/advisories for Kentucky.

Raining here (10PM).  No real sign of the wind they're threatening us with yet.  Might make an interesting drive to the RR tomorrow.

Got the pictures done at the FD.  Not bad, but I didn't want to wait another half hour or so, so there are some shadows.

Still, they're more up to date that what was on our website.

I'm thinking long johns will be sounding good for working on the RR tomorrow night.

Old Age...it is not for wimps....Whistling

Larry:  They are guessing tomorrow afternoon that winds will be from the NW at up to 55-60mph here..which will set up a snowtreamer or two around here...long johns will definitely be on.

Joe - radio just said Iowa got the blunt of it.  Probably not a lot to send east after that!

Now just cold.  But supposed to be sunny - so that will make it all bearable.  And the thermostat at 70 won't hurt, either.

I  have two furry black scotties with big teeth, jaws and paws that would love to do this, EXCEPT for the water part. (a breeder warned us long ago that Scottish Terriers swim like rocks)....Kinda reminds me of the motorized duck decoy and the flying lawn-mowers.

The geese and goose poop is everywhere around here right now. During Tuesday's snowstorm here, about a dozen moved into the office garage with interesting results....

Mooks: you get three days of warm temps, then the snow comes back. The ski areas west of here are much relieved that Maw Nature finally started putting powder up in the mountains. Colorado is way behind in the snowpck dept.

Warm temps?  20's?  Sick of winter - isn't it spring yet?

Good Sunday morning all.  The weather guessers here are saying that we won't get any snow until Wednesday thru Thursday, and that we will have an accumulation.  Louisville and north will see more accumulation than Shepherdsville.  Guess we'll all have to wait and see.

With brother  SIL home yesterday, and he on computer, didnt get a chance to get in yesterday.

Just in case I don't get a chance to get back in:

I want to wish everyone here in the Cafe, and the whole forum, a Very Merry Christmas!!

Everyone take care, have a good day, and see you all later.

Good Afternoon.

Well, sort of.Whistling

It has been  wonderfully dull day for us here..as well...seems that wife has come up with a new name for what shows up round here when everyone gets stressed about the prefect Xmas, Christmas-itis, inflammation of the Christmas ...Whistling

We went to Wally World and saw a few critters as well as our usual things...a lot of electronic goodies are already marked down up here...although we know...Mischief

17 above here.  Went to grocery store this pm.  Since nothing was frozen and few refrig items, so we just packed the trunk of Millie and went to drink some coffee trackside.

Big thrill.  Watched a coal train do bad order set outs for 45 min.  However, the people in cars were fun to watch.  Seems they never check their tires, their oil, change clothes or clean out the entire car until they have to wait for a train.  Today, someone cleaned out their car and a woman got out and tried on 2 coats while waiting.  I have never had to get out of the car to do anything while waiting in line for bank, drugstore, train, etc.  But these people get within a block of a train and all of sudden develop clean/repair-itis.

Also saw a driver go by with a rather large bloodhound riding shotgun, just like a human passenger.  He looked very important.  In his own mind, anyway.

Good Monday (Christmas Eve) to all!  We are rather foggy here in Shepherdsville, KY this morning.  At least it isn't pea soup fog! Temps will range from upper 40s to 50 degrees here today.

Coffee, juice, hot chocolate, hot tea are fresh and ready.  Even have some boiled custard and non alcoholic egg nog available not only this morning, but all day long.  On the warmer station this morning:  bacon, sausage, choice of scrambled eggs or omelets this morning, along with some fresh-out-of-the oven cinnamon rolls.

Been busy cooking/baking this morning:  have a spiral ham baking, along with a couple of turkeys, dressing and all the trimmings (making enough so we have plenty for tomorrow, too.

Merry Christmas, everyone, and like Joe, sending plenty of hugs to everyone here.
