Somebody decorated for Xmas in here!  CW?  Was it you or Joe?  Looks nice.  And I brought in the 14 snowflakes we had this morning to help out.  Well, I put them in this glass to bring in....Grumpy

Mookie, sorry, but I didn't do the decorating in here.  About all I've done is help my sis-in-law put up their Christmas tree yesterday.  Didn't help decorate it, though.  Just left that to her, so she could put what she wanted on it.  Looks real pretty, though.  It is 7 1/2 ft. tall, and she did a GREAT job decorating it, too!

I have got some ready for our supper tonight.  Hope you all enjoy it.  Everyone take care, have a good evening, and see you all when I can.

Decorations are slowly appearing around my area.  I may get to mine this week.  Same old same old, but they look nice.

I'm planning on getting around to doing the plywood cutouts that Dad did years ago - Santa and several of his reindeer trying to get the bag of goodies up to the roof.

Snowing here now.  While I encountered some snow and slushy roads on the way home last night, it's not bad here at all.  I've heard reports of 6-7 inches to the south.

The snowmobilers are getting itchy, though.  They didn't see much running last year, so they'll be looking to make up for it this year.

Tree - with all the nonsense weather and especially not too far from you, any thoughts about how much snow you will have this year?

Almanac sez we will be warmer and drier than usual.  Sure....now that I don't have to get out every day to go to work!

I haven't seen any long-term forecasts yet.  However, there are a lot of seasonally-based businesses hoping and praying for substantial snow.  One reason is to get the snow sports people out and spending money, and the other is to get water levels up next boating season.  The lakes and the St Lawrence are all pretty low right now.

I've got a brand-new snowblower that needs some exercise, too....

Good Morning

Weatherguessers have us being dull and cold today as well...we might, though, see  few incidents of that weird yellow orb showing up....

I have a dang meeting to get to this morning then it i off to the mall to get some walking/snooping done...

Around these parts winter is supposed to be 'normal' for here....ie: barrels  of snow and cold...Indifferent

Sunshine, but cold.

Gotta go pick up some sunflower seeds for the birds.  Thought I had more than I do, and the cold weather looks like it's here for the duration.

Peace be with you. 53 and rain in Carolina.

Awful news last night. My college roommate died suddenly yesterday. I have little details. He and I reconnected recently after 40 years and had just got to know each other again. It was a total shock! Reminds me of my mortality.....

Otherwise, little else to report.

Reminds me of my mortality.....

For years, as an EMT, I've dealt with the sick and worse.  In the beginning, it was "old people" who were dying (trauma notwithstanding).

These days I respond on calls to assist those folks, and read the daily obituaries, and it dawns on me that I'm now one of those "old people."

A reminder, indeed.

Larry, I also am one of the "old people," and I am working towards moving closer to my two daughters (actually, step-daughters, but there is a great feeling of closeness to them); I currently live 14-15 miles from both of them.

Today, after visiting my urologist, Katie (the older daughter) and I had quite a discussion concerning my move, but did not make any definite plans. She, especially, has been quite helpful to me in many ways; not the least in providing my transportation when I have expected to have anesthesia when I have medical attention. She also makes such appointments so she will be available, and she makes the appointments with the urologist (it is easy for her to get to them since his office is in the University Hospital and she teaches and administers in the University School of Nursing) so she will be fully aware of what I will be doing with respect to my particular problem (I hope to have further surgery, but this is not certain yet).

You're only as old as you feel.  Some days sixteen, some days sixty...

Unfortunately the "sixty" days are coming around with increasing regularity.

Well, hello all; reporting in from Shepherdsville.  Currently have a temp in the mid 40s, with plenty of beautiful sunshine.  Went with my brother to the grocery store, needed milk, and had to get some Benadryl for the 3 year old.  I had to wash all her bedding this morning, so we can see if that will stop her itching.  She'll be rubbing/scratching her arm and leg, until they are red.  And she hates having any kind of lotion or cream put on her arms/legs.  Carolyn & I have a royal fight with her every time we go to put some on her.  Sure do hope that the Benadryl works!!

Guess that's about all I have to report for now.  Everyone take care, have a good afternoon/evening, and see you all later.
