Cannonball
Y6bs evergreen in my mind
.....Wow, we're into another decade of figures....actually with a "1" attached to it...! Where did the time go....
Cannonball..........If I just had my '57 Vette back and it was in good shape, perhaps that would do it.
And we say thank you to all who have offered their good wishes....We're still here and kicking and soon going to seek lunch. Again, I believe it will be Ruby Tuesday's....Kinda got me "hooked" on their rainbow trout....hummm great..!
Chocolate, Jen......????? We'll make that the good old fashion plain chocolate ice cream....That's the best...!
Our blessings back to all....
Quentin
Let me add my good wishes for a happy birthday, as well as a wish that you enjoy many more!
Time to go hoe out the back of the truck. It tends to get disorganized from time to time, especially if I'm in the middle of a project.
Temps in the 30's today, with a possibility of rain or snow tonight.

Happy day Quentin - and many more.
Meanwhile, we hear the new freshman class at Weatherliar U is going to make life around here miserable toward the end of the weekend. (They just tried the light snow + wind = ground blizzard experiment)...Thursday must be "Fun with Thermals" Day (70 degrees to snow overnight)
Been trying to move equipment into the new replacement truck since Lurch was retired over a month ago. Still lotsa clutter in the garage. Think I need an 8 or 9 day week to get stuff moved to the DONE list.
Good Wednesday morning everyone. 46 degrees here in Louisville this morning, going for a high in the upper 60s, maybe 70 degrees this afternoon. Quentin, hope you thoroughly enjoyed your birthday yesterday.
After Produce yesterday, did some housework, and then had to go out and do some errands. So I didn't make it back in here. They didn't bring a whole lot for us yesterday: just some potatoes, romaine lettuce salad mix, and tomatoes.
Coffee is ready, along with fresh juices and other morning beverages. Breakfast is on the warmer bar.
Everyone have a good morning, take care, and see you all later.
good morning

......Yes, Paula...we survived the birthday very well. And enjoyed the Spring like weather here in February. So unusual this season.
Again, thanks to many for their best wishes for us going forward.
We do enjoy participating in this forum, and try to be a good steward of what we project and do and say on here. And it's been { surprising, to me}, 10 years on here now...!
We will not have your 70 degree weather here in Muncie today, but it's bright overcast, and will be plenty "warm", for this time of the year.
Possible bits of showers north of I-70 perhaps today in Indiana.
(9:40pm}, now....and we've had a dry day....Good amount of sunshine. Did get up to around 57 or so. Just fine for this time of the year.
Changing the menu for today, a little bit. I've combined a little bit of our Mexican Fiesta, with a little bit of our Chinese menu:
1. Taco salad
2. Tacos (soft shell or hard shell)
3. Sweet & sour pork
4. Pepper steak w/onion
5. Chicken w/broccoli
6. Beef w/broccoli
Would have been back in earlier, but was fighting a sinus headache. So went back to bed for awhile, until it disappeared. Feeling much better now.
Everyone have a good afternoon, take care and see you all later.
Went out to watch trains today. Found them.
Went out to have lunch trackside. We did.
Went out to soak up some vitamin D. Did so.
Didn't go out expecting to see a live groundhog. Found one!
I didn't know we even had groundhogs in eastern Nebraska. Unadilla Bill, but he is stuffed and drug out each Feb.
It was a female, I think, since she had a mouth full of grass for a nest. We saw her slinking along the basement of a house (this is a mixed residential and light industry area) Maybe we will see some little ones by summer. Must be at least 2 of them out there in the neighborhood. Think about it...
Ah, the old wild west!
......Boy, dead in here today. And all the nice Winter weather in many places this season. 33 here this morning, but headed to 50 or so today. Bright, light overcast, with the sun peeking thru at times....like right now, into my eastern office window.
Several runs we must make today, so have to get ready in the next half hour.
Hope eventually more do show up here today, and I'd say most likely they will.
While I am on a roll, if we had seen the groundhog in March - she would have been a woodchuck.
Keep putting out bait for diners; they will come.....
Good Thursday morning everyone. I slept in a little longer this morning. We had some really good sleeping weather, after a storm rolled thru right at 10:00 p.m. last night. Went to bed, and slept like a newborn babe.
Coffee, juices and other morning beverages are fresh and ready to go. And there's a light breakfast menu on the warmer bar.
Mookie and Quentin, thanks for coming in early this morning!
Well, the freshman class at good 'ol Weatherliar U learned today that if you push the decimal to the right, you get 10 inches instead of 1 inch of snow.
Think I'll move their grade a decimal point to the left for their score on this lab exam.
Sir C - Kansas is your bulls-eye and Iowa is going to get our mess.
Isn't it great to have neighbors....
mookie your mess is coming our way too for Friday.Off to see what Matt is up to at school.Cw thanks for supper.
Wet out...
That is all.

Continuing our wildlife adventure - saw a wild Herzog. Distant relative of a hedgehog.....
More hedge than hog....and the white stuff came back tonite.
.....Yes, we have Herzog's in Indiana too....but mostly in Summer.
bubbajustin Wet out... That is all. -Justin
Our weather still gets above freezing during the day and below freezing at night; we expect Sunday morning temperatures to be in the twenties. Some days we have fifties, but forties are still more common.
Johnny
We got 2-3" of pretty heavy snow overnight - I decided the snowblower was the wiser choice (and a bit faster). Found more snow falling around Old Forge around lunch time, but drove out of it on the way home.
We're on the lookout for more winter weather tomorrow.
On the other hand, it's just above freezing right now. And my driveway was clear and dry when I got back home.
Great fun.
Good Friday morning everyone. Here in Louisville this morning, we have a temp of 55 degrees. Reckon that will be our high today, as the temps are to start dropping , and we'll be down into the low 40s by about 5 p.m., and down in the low to mid 30s tonight, with more rain coming in, and maybe some flurries.
Coffee, juices and other morning beverages are fresh and ready to go. Breakfast is on the warmer bar.
Don't really have anything to report, so I'll just say everyone have a good morning, and see you all this afternoon.
wet outside.matt is on time.time for chores.Cw thanks for breakfast.
Peace be with you! 72 and cloudy in Carolina, expected to make it to 80 and rain later, with 59 tonight.
Got some optimistic news on my leg problem yesterday. The wound tech said it should heal quickly, quite unlike what my sourpuss doctor said. That guy is probably a frustrated undertaker or some such....
Hard to believe this is Feb. We saw a snake in the road yesterday!
Take care and stay safe

Deggesty bubbajustin: Wet out... That is all. -Justin Well, Justin, what do you expect in South Alabama? (the climate in Pensacola is more like that of South Alabama than which people expect to find in Florida) Our weather still gets above freezing during the day and below freezing at night; we expect Sunday morning temperatures to be in the twenties. Some days we have fifties, but forties are still more common.
bubbajustin: Wet out... That is all. -Justin
Sorry, I forgot to tell everyone that we are back from Pensacola! LOL. So It's wet ount here in indiana!
Cool and windy this morning. Looks like Chicago is gonna get some white stuff that falls from the sky today. Rain for us Hoosiers.
Have a stellar day all,
Our weather here all morning has been blessed with rather brisk winds....and some pretty powerful gusts. No snow, nor none on the ground. I note some passing by up north of us and Michigan. Believe they are to get {or are getting}, several inches of the stuff.
Our temp right now: 38.5
Our temp is down to 41.6 at 12:21 p.m. Going down to the 20s tonight. Winds are gusting at times.
Here's our menu for the rest of the afternoon/evening:
Our Friday Fish Fry is now under way, with: Catfish, cod, perch, haddock, halibut, flounder, perch, whitefish, salmon patties and croquets, shrimp (giant butterfly) and tilapia.
Side dishes are: slaw, corn on the cob, fries, deep fried breaded mushrooms, mixed greens, spinach, mac & cheese, potato salad and baked beans.
Desserts: no bake chocolate oatmeal cookies, peach cobbler, apple cobbler, blackberry pie, strawberry/rhubarb pie and pecan pie, chocolate cake w/white icing and yellow cake w/caramel icing.
I'll be heading over to the community center after awhile, as we are having a Health Fair from 3 until 5. Don't think I'll be staying the whole time, unless they need me to help with anything, which I kind of doubt, as they would have already asked me. Everyone have a good afternoon, take care, especially if you're getting the gusty winds this afternoon, and I'll see you all later.
Well hello everyone. I've been very busy this past week.
I received my new TV last Friday, and TV's have gotten so complicated it seemed like it took until Tuesday before I got all the options and settings adjusted to my satisfaction. Quite a difference from my parent's first Admiral TV, when you set the tuner to Channel 2, and turned it on. But that was only after my Dad received permission from the Superintendent to put an aerial up on the station roof.
This TV includes a Home Theatre sound system as well. They are coming out this evening to set it up, and I can see a few more days of intense operating manual study ahead of me. I'm optimistic I am really going to like this, once I figure out how to work it.
The other thing keeping me busy is that this is the week of the Canadian Women's Curling Championship. It is being held up at Red Deer, AB and three of us drove up for the opening two games last Saturday. I was very disappointed that I didn't see one train on the 90 mile trip up. I had really been hoping to post a report over in the Lounge.
From Sunday to yesterday they play three games a day in a round robin format, and every draw is televised. Which means that I have been watching three, 3-3½ hour games per day, for five straight days. There were no tie breakers required this morning or afternoon, so I am catching up on the rest of my life. The first of the finals games goes tonight.
Now I am off into a 24°, cloudy day to pick up a few groceries.
It turns out I didn't miss any local RR news, so neither did you.
Bruce
