It's dark in here. Someone pulled a blind over the sun! We are supposed to have rain, but not right away. Guess we will sit in the dark until late tonite or maybe tomorrow before we see any trinkles.
Going out tomorrow to see if we have a lot of Ohio people here in town. And that's all I am going to say about football...

Deshler Ohio-crossroads of the B&O Matt eats your fries.YUM! Clinton st viaduct undefeated against too tall trucks!!!(voted to be called the "Clinton St. can opener").
Quentin, same broken record for Louisville as well, although we do have the Air Quality Alert in effect.
Our Friday Fish Fry is now ready and on the warmer/serving station: all the different kinds of fish, side dishes and desserts.
Everyone enjoy your afternoon, and see you all later.
....According to an email this morning, I believe the photo shows the "slithered one", in fact = Reptile. Don't know what kind it was, but like none of them.
And.....{broken record}, another beautiful day here. And it continues.
That's a good thing.
Quentin
Good Friday morning everyone. 61 degrees here in Louisville this morning. Supposed to make it back up to between 85 and 87 degrees this afternoon. Should be another very good day around here.
Coffee, juices and other morning beverages are fresh and ready to go; breakfast is on the warmer/serving station.
Everyone have a good morning, take care, and see you all later.
mudchickenTREE: That Alco C-424 (Ex BN #4243) still around?
I haven't been in Utica for a while, so I don't know if it's there, or if it's headed east, although some recent conversations lead me to believe it's still in Utica.
We aren't using it.
It's owner has moved on from ADIX. At one time the locomotive was probably headed for Connecticut, it may now be headed for the Saratoga and North Creek.
It was built as SP&S 303.
Larry Resident Microferroequinologist (at least at my house) Everyone goes home; Safety begins with you My Opinion. Standard Disclaimers Apply. No Expiration Date Come ride the rails with me! There's one thing about humility - the moment you think you've got it, you've lost it...
M C: ...."Slithered by"......as in Reptile...? Ugh...
Won't be near Lincoln until 18th & 20th.
Spent part of today crawling around a failed unloading pit under a track trying to figure out what the knuckleheads did when they built it. (so we can "figger" out how to remove it)...Not much of a problem until somebody slithered-by about a foot behind my head.
I wish Aggies and Miners would let the railroaders design track structures. This thing almost killed a trainman and dumped an ethanol car.
TREE: That Alco C-424 (Ex BN #4243) still around?
I noticed a mixed bag of something all over your area and west.
If you get near Lincoln, notice the big grass/field fire and 25-35 mph winds with 33% humility.
Sack lunch - tuna sandwich, carrot, dill pickle and ......gatorade.....comin' up.
Best have Mooks go to the Drive-Thru window and hand a sack lunch to Toto as he goes flyin-by. He just passed south of Cheyenne at about 60 MPH. I think winter is chasing him instead of the flyin' monkeys this time.
MookieTree - don't you hate it when you lose your net?
Back when I was doing network stuff it was worse. Today was only inconvenient for me. Back then you had hordes beating on the door, wanting to know when their 'Net would be back up...
Grocery Day. Ugh! But then I get lunch trackside and lots of trains to watch!
Boeing train headed west with 3 biggies on board.
Saw an old Conrail Engine and a NS on the Boeing train.
Q - rip your hair off SE wind today but still nice, albeit cloudy off and on. Tiny tinkle this a.m. More rain maybe tomorrow and Sat.
CW - they do grow fast. Just as long as they remember which is which.
Joe - Happy early anniversary. Heading for 50....
Tree - don't you hate it when you lose your net?
I think I saw this in a BC comic strip once:

Ahh - back!
No Internet this AM. Also no phone or TV, meaning the cable service was down. Called it in, then after lunch discovered the problem - someone (likely a truck) had taken the wire down off the pole, with some force.
All fixed now, so I can get my 'Net fix...
....No change. Another very nice day. Keep 'em coming Jen.
Well, looks like we've been really slow in here this morning. Hope at least a few people decide to pop in over the afternoon.
Here is our menu for the rest of the day, which will be replenished every hour: our Mexican Fiesta Day:
1. Burritos (beef, beef & bean and beef enchilada style)
2. Tacos (soft shell and hard shell)
3. Spanish rice
4. Chimichanga dinner
5. Fajitas
6. Quesadillas
Desserts:
1. Yellow cake w/chocolate icing
2. Apple cobbler
3. Chocolate chip cookies
Have a great afternoon, you all, and see you later on.
Good Thursday morning everyone. Our morning temp is in the low to mid 60s, going for a high again in the low to mid 80s. No rain in sight for us, until late next week.
Coffee, juices and other morning beverages are fresh and ready to go. On the warmer/serving station this morning: bagels, bear claws, bacon, sausage, biscuits, gravy, scrambled eggs or fried eggs, if anyone wants their eggs that way.
Johnny, sounds like you got a very, very good report from the oncologist yesterday! Glad everything is going well for you. How is Ricki doing? Hope she is doing well also.
Went to the grocery yesterday and stocked up on most of the supplies for the month. Mook, the kittens are growing like weeds: half the time we can't tell which one is which. Right now, I'm watching one of them, playing with what's left of a dead pine branch. She's batting it across the front porch!
Everyone have a very good morning, take care, and see you all later on.
Fall is falling upon the Wasatch. Today's high was in the sixties, with rain off and on. Tomorrow's high is expected to come about midnight tonight, as a Cold front moves in (and is said to like the area; it will stay until the first of next week, so be warned, MC). Snow is expected at the higher altitudes (6000-8000 ' +), and we may have light snow in the valley. I finished buttoning up for winter this afternoon by putting the plug back in the lower part of the storm door.
Yesterday morning, we went down to a fire station seveteen miles away to watch the graduation exercise of a firefighter academy (Ricki's grandson was one of the twelve in the class). A good lunch ws provided ( I wonder what it cost the Unified Fire Authority (which covers several incorporated cities and the unincorporated county; our city does not participate). The weather was good until we were on our way home, when it began raining--and stopped after we were in the house.
In the afternoon, I went to see my oncologist, and she was fairly well pleased with what she saw--no evidence of cancer (going on five years since my chemotherapy was finished; I may have commented on this before, but my hair and beard became a little darker after the treatment, but it is certainly not worth it to repeat the treatment just to get my red beard and brown hair back).
Johnny
.....Almost a broken weather recording...Again, a beautiful day in Muncie. Upper 70's or near 80....Really didn't see the high. Weather reporters are saying thru Sunday...{At least}.

Cool, and a bit breezy today, but nary a cloud in the sky. Weatherguessers promise improvement through the weekend, although a solid frost is a real possibility.
We will have about the same weather day as predicted for Louisville today.....Another nice day under way.
Good Wednesday morning everyone. Temps in the mid 50s this morning, going for a high of 82 degrees today here in Louisville. Hope you all had an enjoyable evening, and will have a good, enjoyable day today.
Coffee, juices and other morning beverages are fresh and ready to go, and breakfast is on the serving station. Anything else for today, you all are on your own: anything else, you'll have to take care of, fix, or whatever, as I'm going to take the day off.
Everyone take care, and I'll see you all tomorrow.
Back home from being out and about today. Our high got up in the upper 70s today; last time I saw the current temp, about a half hour ago, it was 78 degrees. Not much breeze, and it sure feels good outside. Didn't have Dare to Care this morning, so no Produce and Bread/Pastry trucks.
Here is our German menu for this evening:
Meats:
1. Baked glazed ham
2. Braised beef steak
3. Pork barbecue sandwiches
Vegetables:
1. Mashed potatoes w/bacon
2. Corn & lima bean succotash
Salads:

2. Hot cabbage slaw
3. 4-bean salad

2. Lattice-top Apple pie
3. Shoofly cake
Hope you all enjoy your dinner/supper, have a very good evening and take care. See you all in the morning.
Joe - I wasn't able to go out today to train watch, so they are probably waiting until they know I will be there on Thursday.
I don't know if anyone else has this problem - every time I am trackside @ lunchtime and it is totally dead silent, I get my lunch all laid out, take the first bite and 3 trains will want to start moving.
They somehow know there is a sandwich loose....
beautiful outside.need to get matt from school and run some errands in town.Cw save supper maybe for breakfast.First of 2 potlucks start tonight.Mookie we still had a cefx, wepx coal train in the siding when I left work this morning.
