Yep, we're up and running again....Not as much wind today, and some sunshine, and 66 degrees {outside}, as we left the church.
Headed to Ruby Tuesday for Sunday meal.
Hope to beat any later rain so I can mow / mulch leaves. Dealer coming for tractor to do special service deal....
Quentin
Well I guess Mon. got here sooner than earlier thought. I never figured out GMT . All symtoms have gone away.
Y6bs evergreen in my mind
back everyone. We have beautiful sunshine, supposed to get up to 80 degrees this afternoon. The only down to today, is the breeze. Will be gusting between 25 and 35 mph at times today. Makes it a little cool when the wind gusts come up.
Here is our Sunday Dinner menu for the rest of the afternoon/evening:
1. Hawaiian pizza, in honor of our birthday man, Larry (Tree 68)
2. Grilling on a large George Forman Grill and a propane gas grill (don't want any fires popping up using a charcoal grill today!): steak, pork chops, chicken, brats, burgers, cheeseburgers and hot dogs
Side dishes: baked beans, corn on the cob, potato salad, German potato salad, cole slaw, chips (potato, Dorritos, Cheetos, etc.)
Desserts: Yellow cake w/chocolate frosting, chocolate cheesecake, strawberry cheesecake; ice cream, pineapple upside down cake and peach cobbler.
Everyone have a safe afternoon, take care and enjoy the beautiful sunshine.

Good Sunday Morning Everyone....
Looks like we are back.........
Beautiful day here in Alamo City...currently 70 with expected highs in the upper 80's.
Enjpy your Sunday!!!!!!!
Ed: They sure aren't building anything like they used to, we are having a few quality issues with our batch of Kenworth T700s, they forgot to put oil in the batch of A/C compressors they put in our trucks. Surprisingly, the powertrain is not an issue, it's everything else.....

Sorry got back from the Dealership repair shop and want to SCREAM. Wife has been complaining about a few issues and well finally were able to get it in. Here is the Short list of Problems they found. Oil pan leaking like a sieve Down a quart in 500 miles. They topped it off and told me to keep an eye on it which I am and have been. Found a Crack in the Rt frt Control arm were the Bushings mount in it. They had to Weld that up so the car was drivable. Both Frt Hubs are Leaking and they are Sealed Bearings. The Entire Insterument Cluster also has to be changed out since today the Fuel gauge on it decided that it would be fun to snap off the Needle for the Fuel gauge.
Best part is they found more and the Ext Warrenty Comapny wants to inspect the van before they Auth the repairs I asked the Service Manager what they found and he goes it might be enough that they Scrap the car. I was like WTF I can not be without a car. If so they better pay off my loan. That is next Thurs so wish me LUCK.
"Average temps.....Very white and wet"......Just looked for 2011-2012 weather outlook, and the above is stated in the current Farmers Almanac.
Guess if we'd get that, it could be worse.
Oh Randy - you are in an even better position than Quentin and me! We are both kind of on the edges of what could be a really miserable winter. But Wisconsin, the Dakotas, Minnesota, Iowa, most of Illinois, Nebraska, Ohio & Indiana - well, "they" say "worst of winter snow and cold".
And if you don't like that, go further south around CW and you can have tons of ice and not a lot of snow. You might want to consider a vacation to Texas until spring? And we were doing so well with the wonderful spring/fall weather!

Mookie: I don't want to know what it's gonna be like for me in WI, guess I better just winterize the semi right now......
For the first time since Monday, I have seen the sun. It's still there.....
Time to relax.....
.....Well, if we don't want to know....We'll just hibernate. Not thinking of going to Florida....Not interested anymore...Snakes are taking over that spot.
Today, besides blowing leaves in all directions....It's trying to act like Winter, but not having much success. Sun is shining most of the time and temps in the 60's. But the wind is bothersome.
Mook, glad you've consulted your crystal ball: all I have are 2 almanacs, and I haven't gotten beyond mid October, in looking at the weather predictions. Glad that Sarah got me a pair of boots last winter: I'll probably be living in them again this year, whenever I go outside. Guess I'd better be learning how to ice skate.
For those who prefer Friday Fish Fry, everything is fixed and on the warmer/serving station.
For those who prefer something else:
1. Minestroni soup w/your choice of crackers or cornbread
2. Italian spaghetti w/garden salad or Caesar salad and your choice of garlic bread, plain bread sticks, or garlic Texas toast
For Dessert: Just finished making from scratch, baking and icing a Yellow cake w/made from scratch chocolate icing. We also have the regular list of other cakes, pies and cobblers. (Yep, I've been a busy little beaver in the kitchen this morning.)
Everyone enjoy your afternoon, take care and will try to make it back in later.
Been consulting mah crystal ball: weather for winter looks like Texas and Florida for the masses!
Let's see - Mudchix (CO) snow; Texas mild; CW - you will ice skate all winter; Tree - lights out and shovel in the dark; Tom - you should be just blah; Q - you don't want to know & Joe - well you and I will be in igloos most of the season. Kansas is looking pretty good to me! You don't have anywhere to go because you will be surrounded on all sides by ..... winter.
Off to bury mah crystal ball. Don't want to look any further.
Mook
....Our morning is sunny and cool. A few minutes ago I noted it was 52 degrees, and to reach into the low to mid 60's today.
Rain gauge showed .55" of rain fell yesterday.

t hasnt been a very good morning for me. Mother was quite the bear and I'm just sick of all the stupid crap that happens in my school. Ohh well, it can only get better from here.

Good Friday morning everyone. 53 degrees here in Louisville this morning, going for a high in the mid 60s or so.
Tom, I think there are several of us on the forums, who agree with you on a better way to grow old. I'm getting more and more aches and pains in my legs almost every day. Last night, I was in bed before 9:30.
Coffee, juices and other morning beverages are fresh and ready to go. On the serving station this morning: bagels, bear claws, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, oatmeal, toast.
Hope you all have a good morning, and everyone take care.

....Same here, C W....We've had quite a bit of it this afternoon. Have not checked the rain gauge. Will do so in the morning.
Well, I finally made it back in here today. Had to go pickup my BP meds this morning ( I'm all set for the next 12 weeks. Larry, Quentin, we've been getting rain off and on most of the day. Only one really good downpour, and that was between 6:30 and 7:00 this morning, after Sarah left for work.
For supper tonight: hamburgers/cheeseburgers, fries (curly and regular), garden salad or slaw and carrot sticks.
Dessert: Yellow cake w/chocolate icing (ice cream optional)
Everyone have a good evening, take care, if you're in the areas getting rain, the rest of you, take care, also. Don't know if I'll be making it back in tonight, so see you all in the a.m.

Bingo...........Can't report sunshine today. Weather people did say we had a good chance to see rain today, and it's here. We really do need it. It's been sunshine and dry weather for sometime now.
Glad I got outside jobs finished and mowing again yesterday. This rain probably will bring leaves down. Hope the wind does not blow too many this way. I have no trees that produce leaves...by plan.
Won't get as warm today. Day started out about 56 plus degrees. Perhaps in the 60's for today's high.
I see Larry indicates he is about to do his last mowing....Boy, not around here....We generally mow up into November. Along with mulching leaves with it...
Rain overnight (a quarter inch), and scattered green on the radar this AM.
At least I got the driveway coated and it dried, and I got the front lawn mowed. The back yard will be a jungle by the time I get to it one last time.
Busy weekend coming up. Fire prevention at the elementary school Friday morning, then off to the railroad in the afternoon to set up for the weekend's "Pumpkin Trains" and a couple of special visitors.
Today will be "what else do I need to get ready for this weekend" day. Only one project left that I can think of...
As much as I enjoy the railroad, it's going to be nice having a little hiatus until the Polar Express trains start.

Good Thursday morning everyone. Cloudy and 59 degrees here in Louisville, going for a high in the mid 60s. Rain should be in here sometime this morning. They say it could be heavy at times.

Tom, glad to see that you made it in last evening, for the Chinese food.
Everyone take care, have a good morning, and see you all later on.
Peace be with you.
Chinese!! AWRIGHT!! Ding Hao!!
Things seem to rattle on here with no apparent change in the offing. When we both had our surgeries this past spring. we had to delay filing our taxes. After much wailing and gnashing of teeth, we finally got it done and actually have some refund coming in. That is wonderful news
Not a whole lot else to report. Everyone take care
Afternoon all. Guess our high today got up to about 73, 74 degrees. Skies were mostly cloudy all day, until about 3:45 or so, when the sun decided to pop out and pay us a visit.
Menu tonight: Chinese:
Fried rice: beef, chicken, pork, shrimp or special with all of the aforementioned kinds; Chop Suey, Moo Goo Gai Pan, Kung Po Chicken, Beef w/broccoli, Pepper Steak, Seafood combo, and Beef Chow Mein, along with Wonton Soup, Egg Drop Soup, and Chicken & Rice Soup.

Our morning is almost the same as it's been for some time now, but with high thin clouds, and some sunshine getting thru, and it will be warm today.
Must get some more outside cleaning and painting...{light fixtures}, and another yard mowing accomplished before possible rain the next two days.
This has been an extraordinary string of very nice weather.
