Mookie
We play Western Kentucky on 9/4 - anyone know where Kentucky is - let alone Western Kentucky?  Mischief

Yeah, Mookie:  It is southwest of us here in Louisville, towards the Tennessee border.

And they actually have a small "Railpark" at the old Railroad Station in this town, several passenger cars and an old L & N E-6 unit on display.

There's also the Duncan Hines Museum and Corvette Factory & Museum in this town.

Good Friday morning everyone.  Bob, thanks so much for taking care of breakfast this morning.  My, what a spread you put out this morning.  I don't know what I want to eat this morning.  Hard decision to make.  The country girl in me loves biscuits & gravy, but the long johns look delicious also!  Unfortunately, I just took my antibiotic, and I can't have anything with milk or dairy for a couple of hours now.  Maybe I'll just grab a couple of biscuits and gravy, and set them aside for awhile, until I can have them.

I had set the alarm to get up this morning, so I could open up in here.  But was still very sleepy, so I turned over in the bed, and went back to sleep for a couple more hours.  Surprisingly, the cats let me sleep without bothering me.  They sure do know who feeds them in the mornings!

Everyone have a blessed day, keep good thoughts, and take care.  See you all later on.

Paula, its good to her that, so far, your doctor has not found anything disturbing. Now, if he can come up with a cure for whatever is ailing you, it will be wonderful.

Mookie, hope the driver is resting comfortably tonight!  I know Nurse Mookie will take excellent care of him.

Well, the doctor called earlier this evening.  He hasn't gotten all the test results back yet, but what he has gotten looks good.  So my mind is a little bit more at ease tonight.  I just hope when he gets the rest of the results in, they look as good as the first round.

Our State Fair is continuing.  Our favorite local station (which happens to be the official weather station for the Fair this year) had their total day at the fair today.  Aparently, the big good attraction this year is a cheeseburger sandwich that is put between two Krispy Kreme doughnuts.  The chief meterologist said the sandwiches are so big, one person could pay the $8  for the 'sandwich' and split it with 3 other people.  The total calories of this cheeseburger is something like 800.

Today has been  a very beautiful day.  Clear skies, practically no humidity, and a very nice cool breeze has been blowing all day long.  Tonight/early morning, we're to get somewhere down to the mid to upper 50s for, I guess the first time since the end of April.  The AC in our bedroom is off auto cool and on auto fan, is very comfortable.

Everyone have a great evening, take care and I'll see you all in the morning.

I'm fairly certain the frozen chicken was not our Sir Mud.  I think he is in a safe place resting.

Had to go to our fairly new doctor today - Driver pulled a rib muscle and had it checked out.  There is hope out there, people. Driver went for x-rays and for the first time in all my 100 years of doctoring - our doctor got me a cup of coffee!! Shock

The sky is falling!

Why did the chicken close the road?

MOLINE -- A semi-tractor trailer carrying 40,000 pounds of frozen chicken closed the Interstate 74 eastbound ramp to Interstate 280 Wednesday afternoon when the vehicle went onto its side.

Well, looks like another very slow day in here.  Still no word from Doc yet.  Hardly anyone has been in this morning, except for three of us.  Where in the world are Mookie, Dan, Johnny, Larry, Brian (oops, he may be at work)?

If anyone does happen in, I've left some fixings for cold cut sandwiches for lunch and possibly supper, in the cooler.  There's also garden salad and Ceasar salad, and whatever dressing you might want on your salad.

Earlier at my first check, the temp was 59.9.....That's the coolest we've seen in many, many weeks....perhaps several months.  Lots of sunshine, and hunidity seems to be no problem.

Did get my yard mowed last evening....it's oh so dry here....Need rain.   Corn in the fields is fast turning dry, but it certainly looks like a bumper crop.....Soybeans as well....Beautiful fields of it all around us outside of the city.  Nice thick, and tall {for soybeans}, plants this season.  i'm not a farming expert, but those two crops look to be doing great here this season.

Hearing more trains on our nearby N S Frankfort line......Is it time we see the grain hauling east, starting......Seems so.

Good Thursday morning everyone.  Hope you all had an enjoyable evening.  I've managed to get everything cleaned up in here from last night (since no one was aparently in here, after I posted the menu).

Still have not heard back from the doctor.  I am really, really hoping that that is good news.

We have a temperature this morning, in the low to mid 60s (outlying areas are in the mid to upper 50s), with dry air.  Projected high today will be about 82 degrees.

Coffee, juices and other beverages are fresh and ready to go.

I made some muffins and cinnamon rolls for you all this morning.  Hope you all enjoy them.

Everyone have a good morning, and I'll see you all later.

Well, no word from the doctor yet.

Since I made meat loaf for Walt last night, I decided to make some here for you all tonight.  Along with the meat loaf, you have mashed taters & 'gravy' from the meat loaf, and broccoli w/cheese sauce.

Dessert tonight:  strawberry Jell-O w/whipped cream.

At 6:44 p.m., we are receiving some light rain!  Didn't think we even had a chance.  The cold front must be coming through!

Everyone have a good evening, and either later on tonight, if I hear anything from the doc, or in the morning, I'll let you all know.

Oh what a glorious morning. This is not the Clinton viaduct, but the one going to Arsenal Island. There is a sign telling truckers to use the other entrance.

Bob, keep us posted on this rival to the viaduct in Defiance--Joe, look out, here is competition!Smile

Is this a victim of modern education?Smile Perhaps the driver of this rig thought he was driving a pickup? Whatever the reason, his semitrailer certainly has a headache--will Bromo-Seltzer help?

Good Wednesday morning everyone.  Tom, thanks for taking care of breakfast this morning.  I really appreciate your alls help the past few days, and always.

I am doing a little bit better this morning.  Started on the antibiotic and the Zantac last night, so far, not a lot of burping and belching going on.  Did eat a few more mashed taters last night.  That's about all I'm able to eat right now.  Fixed a meat loaf last night, and didn't even want a taste of it.  (And meat loaf is one of my favorite meals!)  The good news (if there can be any so far), is that I've lost 4 pounds.  I don't think I've been close to 134 lbs. for about 40, 45 years.

Everyone have a good day, and take care.

Hello Americans, it's Winsday Wensday Windsay the middle of the week. 70 and cloudy in Carolina, headed for 88 and partly clear later. Still no rain, Phooey

I seem to be first here again so we are open for business. The usual fare is on the buffet and fountain drinks are available.

A friend of mine was looking at a rental house in Santa Barbara Calif. and
asked what the monthly rate was. $22,000 was the reply. It is still on the
market, I am told....  I told her she should have jumped right on that. Such a bargain she found

This is my second try on this post. I sent it several hours ago and checked it. Now it's gone. Not the first time either

Paula, take care of yourself. Pancreaitis is nothing to play with. You are on my prayer list for a negative on the tests you had done.

75, and we never did get the rain we were promised
