Thanx CW. Got mah cup sitting right here in front of me.
Opened the back door to let the Driver out (No - not what you are thinking - to go fishing - he had his hands full) and almost passed out from the humidity. It is only 78 but 86% humidity. We are right in line with Houston Ed on our stats. Got Houston's heat and humidity and didn't have to move an inch!
Sent some strong storms to Brian in IA. He's so lucky!
Off to find some watermelon for brunch.
Oh and yes - it would have been fun to be with Sarah to watch the train traffic. She would have had a good vantage point!

....Our morning has been partly sunny or partly cloudy, whichever one prefers. Starting temp early this morning was 70 degrees, so that sounded like it would be more mod. in temp today, so the windows are open.....So far, not bad with ceiling fans going to move air....
Atmosphere allowed the railroad sounds from the NS line, about a mile north of us to sound like it was in our front street, very early this morning before daylight.
This might be a mowing day.....not sure yet.

Quentin ; can you bale it like hay after being mowed ??? LOL Humidity is so heavy we probably will retake under water breathing lessons again . ~~ Stay cool my friend.

Cannonball.....if I was away for 2 weeks or so, baling might be a necessary option.
And putting green "hay" into a barn is certainly a no, no Johnny.....Have seen barns go up in flames from most likely caused by spontaneous combustion.
ModelcarHave seen barns go up in flames from most likely caused by spontaneous combustion.
And the same thing (spontaneous combustion) can happen in a garage! Close to 30 years ago, my sister's garage caught fire, by grass clippings my brother-in-law had in there. They had built a family room, onto their house, and it connected the house to the garage. Fortunately, no one was home at the time, except their toy poodle. Fire dept. got her out safely. Just some smoke damage to the garage and family room.
Our Friday Fish Fry is now on the warmer/serving station. You have a nice selection of fish, from bass and catfish to shrimp and talapia, along with the regular side dishes.
Desserts: Chocolate fudge cake, apple, cherry, peach cobblers, and pecan pie, all served with ice cream.
East coasters, sorry about being so late with the lunch/supper menu, but went to the grocery, bank and by the time I got home, needed to take a nap before coming back in here. The only exscuse I have is still being on the muscle relaxers, which definitely make me very drowsy.
Everyone enjoy, have a good afternoon/evening, and take care.
Busy busy afternoon

They never got here. Had some rain accompanied by an occasional spark here and there, but nothing serious.
Replaced our garbage disposal under the sink today- good thing I did, discovered that the trap underneath it was almost rusted through; it split and dumped its contents when I tried to take it apart. Would've been a real mess if it had sprung a leak while all the stuff was still inside the cabinet.

Good morning all. I am the first one up so I’ll make the biscuits & gravy & set out the OJ, milk & make the coffee. Barbara & I were in Dan’s country for the EAA fly-in. We found a great spot to view the small planes arriving. Planes approach from the southwest, flying directly above the Wisconsin & Southern tracks. Large arrows between the rails mark the corridor. At a point called FISK, the planes are given their runway assignment. Instead of answering the ATC, they rock their wings to acknowledge, then continue following the tracks or turn and follow Fisk road. The controllers are located on a small hill, with a tethered balloon marking their location. Their binoculars are twice the size of mine. Here is a pic.
Good morning, Bob, and thanks for breakfast. 73 and sunny in Carolina, headed for the low 90s with high humidity and a hot index of 98. Today will be a hottun and I shall stay inside under the fan. Tonight is rib and seafood night, so I will sortie to the restaurant and try my luck this evening. Sometimes the ribs are super tender, and other times, are like barbecue flavored wood chips....
Everyone take care and safe, and try to stay cool.

Good Saturday morning, everyone. Bob, thank you very much for coming in early and fixing breakfast!
We have had a little bit of rain overnight. Probably about two tenths of an inch. I'm not sure what our current temp is, but when I awoke at 6:45, the temp was 66 degrees. Not bad sleeping weather, that's for sure! High today is supposed to be around 89 degrees.
I want to wish RJ (mini-wyo) a Very Happy Birthday today. RJ, hope you have a very good day!
Have a couple of calls to make this morning: today is also my sister's birthday, along with our sister-in-law (twin brother's wife) .
Everyone have a very good day, and see you all back tonight, for supper.

Hey Bob, NICE Picture!!! Glad you and Barb are enjoying that. Wish we could be there.
CW didn't mention that our ISP was down this morning, we couldn't get onto anything at all. I know she tried to get on and do whatever she does about 0645, but nothing was working.
Our temp right now is 73, going for a high of 89 with a chance of showers throughout the day; maybe I'll get a chance to get the bike out and do some railfanning. (doubt I'll get the chance to get a balloon/blimp along with light engines like Bob did, although maybe a low flying UPS plane will get in my viewfinder if I make it over to the NS/P&L diamond.)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY R.J. Hope you have many, many more!!
