Don't know what CW has instore for supper, but steaks on the grill and watching trains go by gets my vote!

....Never heard you mention before Walt that you could see trains from your home.  Real trains...?  Ha....

Quentin, actually, if you walk out our front door and follow our sidewalk to the main city side walk and look to the south (left turn, and in Fall and Winter when there aren't any trees blooming, etc.)we can see the NS tracks; (ex K & I T ) not well, and about 2 1/2 blocks away.

Not great for seeing things in detail, but we can see them.

Hi there. It looks like Chinese for supper here in Carolina. We had a nice day with moderate temps and plenty of sun, and tomorrow should be the same.

Jay, a happy birthday to you, whenever it is, with many happy returns.

Everybody take care

Tom

Steaks are just coming off the grill, and being placed on the serving station.  There's baked potatoes w/fixin's (sour cream, butter, etc.) and tossed salad to go with the steaks.

And, I want to publicly apologize to Jay and everyone on here.  Yes, I remembered his birthday, but I remembered it a day early!  Hope Jay and all of you will forgive me for getting a day ahead of myself.  (We all make mistakes, and it looks like today was my day to royally err!!)

Driver saw a squirrel burying a peanut in a mound of snow on the side of a garage roof on Monday.  Sun has been out and the peanut should now be in the gutter of the roof - snow all melted.  So don't want any more "peanut cover"!!!!!

The seatcover probably got "sucked-up". The locomotive cab chairs probably right after the engineer bigholed it. (dynamited the air)...

The jaws on the tractor saddle had no slack for the pin to pop out.

I realize that pin connection to tractor 5th wheel is a connection pretty tuff to separate.....{by accident}....But, more importantly, I agree.....The seat will need cleaning....Maybe hang a deodorizer on the dash.....ha.

Quentin; your right on the slow train. Kinetic energy is an awsome force.  The jaws on the tractor saddle had no slack for the pin to pop out. So it's just hanging on the pin.  Hopfully the frame ain't warped. Maybe clean seat and replace right drive wheels , check alignment and " on the road again" HEH HEH.  3 cheers for the engineer " big holeing his train." Izzat railroad slang ??  ~~~ Respectfully, Cannonball

Nice dent in the trlr. Wonder if the eggs got pre scrambled ,bye bye preciousCDL .

Cannonball....I was a bit surprised of how the tractor and trailer stayed connected, especially, the trailer being all bent out of shape but not ripped in two pieces, etc.....I suppose one item that contributed was the train's slow speed....At least it looked to me to be rather slow....In fact, from our advantage point, it appeared the tractor would be useable after some probably needed repairs.

.....28.2 degrees at this hour of the morning.....bright overcast skies, and it looks like the sun could break thru any time, but weather forecast calls for mostly cloudy today.  No snow.

Listening to a stereo AM radio station over several States away as I do my morning computer work.  The station is broadcast over the internet, besides being on 1620 on the AM dial.  location:  Ligonier, Pa.  Ligonierradio.com   Not sure of the status of AM stereo broadcast stations situations now....Some years back, one of my GM cars did have a stereo AM radio in it, but none since....and my little truck has the top radio available when it was purchased, including a capacity of 6 CD's.

We'll have to pry the grandson off the basketball court:

Sunny and warm here - a balmy 21F.  With a light dusting of snow overnight.  Gotta go out and clean that dusting off the driveway so the sun can melt the rest.

Congratulations Larry. I like Mookie's line of thinking! Cool

And Happy Birthday to Jay! Happy B-Day

Another cold morning here in Omaha. Starting off with a temperature of 10 degrees at Eppley Airfield, and 10.2 degrees in the backyard. Three to five inches of snow are expected Thursday Night through Friday Night.

Good Wednesday morning, everyone.  Hope you all had a very good evening.

Coffee, juices and other morning hot (and cold) beverages are fresh and ready.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JAY EATON!! Happy B-Day Happy B-Day Happy B-Day Happy B-Day  (I know you don't always post over here, but maybe you do read what's going on here, and what everyone has to say.)  I hope you have a very, very happy birthday, and may all your birthday wishes come true!!

On the serving station this morning:  blueberry muffins, bagels, bear claws, or you can have buttermilk pancakes w/plenty of nice, hot maple syrup, with your choice of bacon, sausage (links & patties) or homemade buttermilk biscuits w/sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, hash browns or tater tots.

Does anyone remember or know what Jay's favorite dessert is?  I know one of his favorite foods is anchovie pizza, so maybe we'll have mid week pizza fest this afternoon and tonight.

Son and daughter-in-law (along with the rest of us) will be welcoming the new arrival come June.  All indications from the ultrasound were good.   No word on a name yet.

Daughter and son-in-law are undertaking a similarly trying task - buying a new house.  I think daughter has one picked out.  No word on whether SIL agrees....

Evening all.

Looks like we will have about 6 more weeks of winter. Sad thing.

Had a good day today. I have some friends that are mad at me. I don’t know why, but I assume they will get over it. I’ve apologized to them, so we’ll see. A little cool outside. I’m not sure of the exact temperature, the Weatherbug System is down. Looks like that truckers “short cut” didn’t work!

Have a good evening.

Justin

Congratulations, Larry and rest of family!  Is it daughter, or son, who also needs congrats?

Mookie, glad you were able to produce some sleep.  I was back home just after 10, and tried to take a short nap (didn't acomplish anything).

Tom, glad you got your heat back on!  It is really nice, having uniform heat in the house, isn't it?

Here is our lunch and din-din/supper menu for today:

1.  Lasagna w/tossed salad and bread sticks or garlic Texas toast

2.  Mexican Fiesta with burritos, tacos, enchiladas, chimichangas, fajitias,Spanish rice  and the tortilla chips w/the customary picante sauce, salsa and con queso

I'm getting ready to go catch the bus, and go to Kroger to get us something for supper.  Not quite sure if we'll have Hamburger Helper Lasagna, or beef noodles here at home.  But I'm leaning towards the lasagna.

I think the sun is trying to come out around here.  Sure would be nice, to see some sunshine!  Tired of all the gloomy, overcast conditions.

Everyone enjoy your lunch, and I'll see you later this afternoon.

Good morning or whatever. 41 and rain in Carolina this morning. I have had the heat pump guys here to check out the unit, and they found that the guy who wired the thermostat originally, didn't wire it correctly. Only the A/C worked as it should. The heat section only worked intermittently. No wonder we have been nearly freezing.

Grampa Larry, congratulations on the great news. Get ready to spoil her big time!

Everyone take care and stay dry and warm

Tom
