I am even more tired this morning.
Just finishing coffee and usually done with that by 6:30-7am
Gus - the weather-rock dog! Perfect. Heard I-80 is still closed around border with whatever is west of us. I know there is some land over there, but since my world ends at the city limits, I have no clue.
Must find Willy and straighten him out on this weather business. "Joe College" is getting a little out of hand!
Ohio Joe - thanks for mug. CW - bb muffin - just push it to the edge of the counter and I will pull it off as soon as I find the strength...

Happy Birthday, Duff! And good Thursday morning to everyone.
I managed not to fall off the ladder, just strained my right arm a bit.
Coffee, juices, soft drinks, hot chocolate, hot water for tea and hot cider are all ready to go this morning.
On the warmer bar this morning: fresh blueberry muffins along with the bagels and bear claws, and the rest of the usual morning breakfast menu.
Mudchicken, figure you could really use the hot cider this morning. Have you lost the boys in the snow yet? Hope not!
Went to a class put on by the local utility about gas and electric emergencies. Very informative, though not for the weak at heart.
Past time for bed, and the Dal wants something.
Later!

Willy2 Cloudy and mild here in Omaha today. We're going for a high of around 60 degrees. Rain will move in late tonight and last through Thursday. There could even be some thunderstorms. Looks like I need to crank the snow up another notch in Denver. Denver International Airport has only reported about 3 inches so far. That will never do.

7 inches on the south side of Denver. If you want more snow at DIA (Bagdad on the Prairie), grab some of those isobars and drag them north. South of Denver is getting hit hardest. Expecting another 7-12 inches where I'm at by Thursday. Copcar getting about half that where he's at. As expected, the freeways turned into mass stupid zones. I-76, I-25 and I-80 all had closures this morning due to stupid driver stunts.
Gus the weatherdog says snow as high as a scottie's eye followed by wet fur.
Randy: The tinkertoy Smart Cars are absolutely lousy in snow. In addition, I've seen several go airborne at 60 MPH when the enddam (expansion joint and approach apron) on a bridge approach is rough. Never hear how they do in crash tests (wonder why?)
Good afternoon. I hope everyone is doing all right this afternoon. Mookie, did you ever get your eyes opened this morning?
Here is the meal menu for the rest of today:
1. Corned beef brisket w/cabbage
2. Spaghetti w/meat balls, garlic bread or Italian bread, whichever you prefer, w/garden salad and brussels sprouts or whatever green vegetable you prefer.
Well, it looks like I'm going to have to get the ladder out myself, and climb on it to put up the birthday decorations (and I'm not even supposed to be up on ladders). I just hope one of our resident EMTs will be on standby, in case I fall.
Everyone enjoy the afternoon, and take care.
Willy
Looks like the word of the day is WET. And I have to be out and about this morning.
Final plans falling into place for a trip to the Bel-Del this coming weekend. Should be interesting.
Peace be with you. Good morning all and greetings from Carolina. 65 degrees and cloudy this morning with a chance of rain again. Last night's heavy weather passed east of us, but we got some rain. Mookie, WAKE UP!!!! Everyone take care

Good Wednesday morning, everyone. Randy, glad to see you could make it in last night for a visit. We always enjoy seeing you in here!
Coffee, juices and other morning beverages are fresh and ready to go, including plenty of hot water for hot tea and hot cocoa. Regular breakfast menu on the warmer bar.
I sure do hope that some of you tall guys (Brian, Dan, Joe and Larry) are available this morning: I need help putting up birthday decorations for tomorrow: Duff's (nightrain) birthday is tomorrow.
We're starting out with a temp of 54 degrees here in Louisville this morning, with plenty of heavy fog in the area. Rain has cleared out. Going for a high of 64 today.
Everyone enjoy your breakfast, have a good morning, and you all take care.
Well, was going to talk to everyone from Hartford, CT, yesterday, but Mr Dispatcher said I had to be in Portland, ME, by this morning, so that put the kibash on that. Got all the way to Kanona, NY, headed for Warsaw, IN, with seven smallish rolls of paper. They may be small, but they weigh 43,000lb.
Larry, I thought there were only two seasons in the northern climes: Winter, and road construction.
MC, you can keep all the snow, unfortunately, all the crazy drivers have already been let loose all across this country, Boston has a very high concentration, though. Also, still waiting for the first Smart car sandwich (for those keeping score, that's a Smart car sandwiched between two loaded semis, I have a feeling that when this happens, they will be scraping the Smart car off the pavement with a spatula)
Later.....

Peace be with you. Paula, I hope that your sinus headache passes quickly. The wife has a similar problem. The lower part of the state is under a tornado and severe thunderstorm watch, and it looks like it's headed this way. It doesn't look too bad on the radar so hopefully it will disipate before it gets here. It's been raining most of the day and the grocery shopping got washed out, so will try again tomorrow. Take care.
Our rain started about a half hour after I posted the lunch menu. Still raining; the heavy stuff hasn't made it in yet, though (thank _ _ _). It is already causing my sinuses to go haywire, and I have a sinus headache.
I've got some more beef stew and cornbread on the warmer bar, along with some vegetable beef soup, along with open-face roast beef sandwiches w/mashed taters & gravy.
Joe, hope you're feeling better tonight, and will be able to go into work. Got you containers ready for you.
Everybody enjoy, have a good, dry evening, and take care.

Wet is the word to describe Western Indiana today. Last night was PTC’s and tonight is to.
See you all later!

The road to to success is always under construction. _____________________________________________________________________________ When the going gets tough, the tough use duct tape.
You can have it if you really want it. The first major snowstorm here will flush out all the bad drivers who don't know how to drive in it, all the cheapskate and nimrod car owners who don't know when to replace the baloneyskins they are driving on and all the envirowackos raging against SUV owners but have cars not suited to mountain conditions and are stalled on the freeway going nowhere fast (wasting everybody else's fuel)
mudchicken Weather people here talking about 8-14 inches starting tonight.
No fair! you're not supposed to get our weather until a day later! We had been promised snow, but it had not begun when I brought the paper in about 6:30; by the time I finished the paper it was snowing lightly in the valley, and we were told to expect 2-4" down here and about a foot in the mountains (Skiiii!) None is sticking to asphalt or concrete.

Apparently tomorrow is Winter Lab Day at WeatherGuesser U based on what the local weatherliars are talking about here. Will have to see how well our Forum freshman has learned his chosen craft.
(He did keep the snowmaker turned off untill after the plane landed here on Sunday and gets an attaboy for that. Weather people here talking about 8-14 inches starting tonight. What fall?)
I'll be there for lunch CW. Tuesday is always 'Detail Shop' (otherwise know as the Beauty Shop) day for Mrs. diningcar. Then she has lunch with several friends.
Cold front coming into AZ with a high of 42 expected in Prescott tomorrow. Guess I better look for some long sleve shirts somewhere in the closet..
Good afternoon. Made it back from Produce, did dishes, and took a short nap.
I now have lunch ready: Beef stew w/cornbread, open-face roast beef sandwiches w/mashed taters & beef gravy, and your choice of the following veggies: green beans, sweet green peas, broccoli w/cheese sauce, cole slaw or garden salad and for dessert: strawberry shortcake w/whipped cream topping.
The rain hasn't started here yet, but think it is on it's way: very cloudy and overcast, looks like it could start any time, before the 3 to 4 p.m. time period they gave this morning. Supposed to be pretty heavy rain tonight, into tomorrow morning.
Everyone take care, and have a good afternoon.
Good Morning all.....Late morning now. First had to catch "Morning Joe" as I do each morning. A bit of breakfast and then in here {office / computer room}. Next, get ready to head to our mall. Have some business to get to there.
And must meet a couple for lunch {worked with him for over 30 years}. Which for me, ended 16 years ago....Started retirement.
Overcast and some possilbe rain later today.....Warmer and sunshine tomorrow and Thursday. Got my yard duty accomplished yesterday....Yard and leaves....Looks pretty nice now...We got rain a month or so ago after the long dry spell, and the yards seemed to really take off after that....and ours especially because it's fertlized 4 times a season. More mowing, but I like it to look good.
We might hit 70 plus degrees Thursday according to the weather folks.
Phone call: Couple can't make the lunch date, not feeling well....so, schedule is farther relaxed.
Tree - knowing you, it will only be a change of scenery for you.
Mookie Multi-grain beagle in corner, please. Toasted. Maybe a little chicken salad to go with it. Napkin. Coffee. Skim milk. fork. spoon. pillow. blanket. music on softly. Ain't life grand!

In a couple of months... For now I'll have to settle for a real mug of tea and a virtual bearclaw...
Good Tuesday morning, everyone. Well, did it again: woke up at 3:30 this morning, finally decided to get up out of the bed at 3:55. Why lie in bed, when you suddenly wake up, and cannot go back to sleep?
Coffee, juices and other morning beverages are freshly made, and ready for you all.
You have a large assortment of breakfast menu to select from this morning, from bagels and bear claws to oatmeal & toast and everything in between. You all enjoy, have a good morning, and I'll be back after Tuesday Produce.
