I've got a fresh batch of all  the kinds of fish, and the sides ready on the warmer bar for this evening's supper (lunch for those on the west coast).  So, grab a plate, fill it up with plenty of good food, and go grab a seat at a table or booth.

Great fish CW!

I just found out that I've passed my last semester of classes at college!  All that's left is a 14 week internship and then I'm done!

It looks like Omaha could get its first measurable snowfall next Wednesday. There's still a lot of uncertainty in the forecast and right now I expect that the moisture will end up just south of us preventing us from getting anything more than a couple of flurries. It does bear watching, though.

Oh-oh- if you think it's going just south of you, guess where it'll wind up... I better get the snowblower serviced and running!

Good Saturday morning, to all!  Joe, thanks for getting the coffee, juice, etc., ready, and thanks for fixing the rolls, etc. this morning.

Dan and Willy, congrats on your classes.  I wish you both good luck!!

It's a little chilly here in Louisville this morning, with a temp of 39, when I awoke at 7.

Joe, know Matt is will terrific in the Christmas pageant.  Been in quite a few of them, in my teen years, in the youth, teen and Church choirs.  I know all the work they really put into them.

Everyone have a great day, and come back safely for the SATURDAY NIGHT PIZZA FEST.

.............Unusual here this morning....a bit warmer than {C W}, Louisville.  43 degrees at 8 am.  Bright sunshine is about to shine right on my computer screen.  Should be a nice day.  {OOPS}, Correction....must be a bit early to look at the instrument....It is 34, not the warmer temp quoted first...But, the sun IS  shining....That part is still correct.

I hear the breakfast call.....

Of course this morning's computer model runs show it going right on top of us which means that we could get dry slotted and end up with just some rain and then nothing much else. I'm not going to be happy if this system doesn't give us a good snow. If this latest set of data holds true, then about the same thing may happen to you. It is still five days away; a whole lot could change.

Joe - I would say that it is too early to give you any amounts, but I think some snow is certainly possible by next Thursday or Friday in Ohio. It looks like temperatures could be borderline rain/snow, though.

Dan - Congratualtions! Thumbs Up [tup]

CW,

I need to make sure that I get my order in for the Goetta Pizza early. One large with a Dr. Pepper

Headed out in a few minutes. Not to many days in the 60's in the middle of December and it's to be 65 on Sunday.

I don't get any better than that

Okay, I've got the pizzas made, cooked, and on the warmer bar.  Here is the menu for tonight:

1.  Canadian Bacon
2.  Cheese
3.  Goetta
4.  Hawaiian
5.  Pepperoni/Sausage
6.  Pepperoni/Mushroom
7.  Supreme

For dessert tonight, your choices are:  chocolate cake, pecan pie, cherry pie and an apple pizza pie dessert.

Dan, I haven't quite mastered making a stuffed crust yet; but, when I do, I'll be sure and let you know.

Sacto,

I'm referring to something like what Pizza Hut does.  Not...other things.  Italian food is ok, but I meant in the pizza sense.

Calzones are actually pretty good, used to have them for lunch when I worked for Montgomery Wards, we'd go out into the mall food court and get them hot and fresh.  It's essentially a pizza pot pie, for lack of a better description.

Spent the last few hours online playing poker for free, was playing HORSE, bascially is Texas Hold 'em, Omaha hi/lo, Razz, 7 card stud, and 7 card stud hi/lo, changes games every ten hands.  Need to get my sanity back, though, it's a thinking man's game, and my brain is cooked!!!

I'll take some pepperoni/sausage, please.  See everyone later.

Good Sunday morning to all!  Nice and "warm" here this morning, with the temps in the mid 50s.  Our high today is to get to 68, if not 69 or 70!  Pretty nice weather, for December, isn't it?!?!  The snow will probably hit the fan in January .Sad [:(]

Joe, thanks for making the coffee and juice, and putting the doughnuts out.  Wish Matt  "Good Luck" for us all, in his pageant this morning.  Know he'll do a good job.

For anyone who doesn't want doughnuts this morning, I've got some sausage/egg/cheese biscuits made up, with home made hash browns.

Everyone have a great day, and I'll be back in after awhile, with the SUNDAY DINNER menu for this afternoon/evening.

Well, it's nice to see the forums are back up!!  Guess we have sandwiches tonight, because I  think it's a little bit too late for a good dinner.  Sandwiches are:  BLTs, open faced roast beef w/mashed potatoes & beef gravy, tuna salad sandwiches, and there's leftover pizza from last night.  (Seems Trains was down this afternoon, and I couldn't log in to post anything.)  Don't know if it was just our computer, or if others had the same problem.

I have a problem intermittently, several times a day trying to use the forum.  Sometimes the forum will respond on my next attempt, sometimes I have to try several times before I get a response.  I think that my problem is exacerbated by the use of a dial-up connection.

I'll take the roast beef w/mashed potatoes and gravy.  You sure are a good cook, CW!Thumbs Up [tup]Dinner [dinner]

No problem getting into Trains here. I didn't try posting anything, though.

The computer models continue to show big inconsistencies with their solutions for this system to affect the plains midweek. The latest runs have brought it just a tad farther south again; better for areas from Omaha north and west to get some decent snow. I'm not placing any money on this solution because I imagine that by this time tomorrow, if not sooner, they will have changed again. It also looks like it could be a real slow mover with the precipitation possibly lasting from late Tuesday night all the way into Friday morning, with some breaks in between, of course. Anyway, I guess it just gives me something to look forward to.

I have my Geometry and World History Honors semester exams tomorrow. Please wish me luck.

Good luck, Willy!!!Yeah!! [yeah]

Just thought I would mention -

San Jose finally had the much-ballyhooed storm pass through here last night.  The storm came with moderately gusting winds and three rain showers, one with small hail.  The whole thing lasted fifteen minutes.  The longest shower was over in less than a minute, although each shower was a real downpour.  Very strange.

WE have DSL here and both of us tried to access the Forum more than several times with no luck.

(everything else worked just fine, just no Forum.)

We have had a problem with our ISP for the last couple of days,so were not really sure where

the problem was coming from.  WE were not able to access from either Mozilla,(our usual) or

Internet Explorer.(NO,we have not gone with IE 7.0 !!!(will not hopefully!!))

Willy,GOOD LUCK on everything!! I am sure you will do very well!!

BTW; do you have any weather words of wisdom for this area?!?!  What do the computer

models have to say?  We BROKE a record in warmth for THIS day;70 degrees, but understand

that everything is to go downhillThumbs Down [tdn] next week!!

I don't see anything too bad for the next week or so. It looks like maybe a few showers tomorrow and then maybe some more steady rains mid and late week. Your high temperatures look like they should remain near 50 for the next several days, so nothing too bad is in store.

This just goes to show how worthless the computer data can be. All of the runs this morning had the low passing south of Omaha on Thursday morning giving us a fairly decent snow. Now this evening's runs have it passing right on top us which will effectively put much of the heavier snow north of us. I prefer to keep my forecast the way it is until I see a bit more run to run consistency, which may be never!

Good Monday morning to everyone!  Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend.  It sure was beautiful, but our high for today is now, at 58, and by early evening, be down to 46, 48 degrees.  Oh well, nice was it lasts.

Coffee is on, juice is made, and hot chocolate and hot tea are available.  Breakfast this morning:  turkey bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, or western omelletes, bagels, and whole wheat pancakes.

Hope everyone has a great morning!
